It's been fine. I did take there monitoring service. I think it is great. I think the price is reasonable.

Unit is easy to set up, and so far seems to be working well. We have not had to truly test it with a break in - we have had it for only three days and hopefully we will never actually have to! The only issue we had is the package did not have the sign shown in the picture, but one quick email and one is on the way! :)

SimpliSafe is a great, reliable company. They even contact you if your system has been offline for an extended period of time.

On 6/16/2015, I began researching security systems. SimpliSafe has the only website that outlines all the components offered. Theirs is the only website that outlines all the payment options. The system is wireless, so my old plaster walls will not be drilled. The components attach with 3M adhesive, so they can be removed safely. The base station has a mini cell phone, so there is no additional charge for cellular service. There is no long term contract. I pay monthly from automatic credit card payments. I can change my service plan as often as I want. The first representative spent over an hour on the phone with me as I described my home and we designed a system specific to my structure. He was so patient. He understood that I did not want to place the order without discussing with my husband. I called a day later with more questions and re-configured my order without any hassle. I still did not place the order. When I finally did place the order on the third day, it was quite simple to respond through their email and set up my account. There is complete transparency. Please do not judge price of my system. Every home is different, so every price is different. He honored the Angie's list discount and I paid extra for 2-day Fed-Ex. It arrived on time and was as easy to install as described on the website, except that 5 components did not work. When I called the next business day, the rep explained that the wrong components had been scanned into their system (each one has its own serial number). He reconfigured the system over the phone and tested each piece with me. I would recommend them to friends.

The system works well for us. We also order extra sensors through their website and it's easy to add on to the current system. The central base also has backup batteries so once there is a power outrage and it is still protecting our home.

The website has helpful features like an activity log, and you can select some options to customize your system. I ordered some extra pieces from their website as well, more window stickers, 2 more entry sensors, and 4 extra entry sensor magnets (so you can have windows open partially or closed and still have them alarmed), they arrived quickly and were easy to add to the system. As a woman living alone it feels great to have this sense of security, and I sleep like a baby because of it. Highly recommend.

I ordered a Big Deal for a Simplisafe Home Security System. I researched the Internet and could not find a better price for the system even on the Simplisafe web site, so obviously I was happy to find the deal. My system arrived about a week after ordering. It was well packed and arrived without damage. Installing it is simple like the name implies it probably took about 15 minutes to install all the sensors. Once installed, you can go on the Simplisafe website and choose the level of monitoring you want, I choose the basic monitoring for 14.99 per month. If I decide I want the smartphone app, I may upgrade later on, but I really think the basic package is all I really need. I cancelled my other service from Monitronics for this system, just an FYI, if you do this, they make you jump through some hoops to cancel, but as a result, I will save money on the monitoring service and no longer need to pay for a landline phone, so I will be saving over 30.00 a month right off the bat. There is no difference in the monitoring service except that maybe Simplisafe is better in that they send the Police, and not a Security Company if the alarm goes off. You can also track all your systems activity on the Simplisafe website. The best part of this system is that you can add an actual "panic button" for your bedroom that sends the Police immediately. That feature us very comforting, if by chance you ever forgot to man your alarm and somebody got in. In fact if you were having any problem and required immediate help, the "panic button" is a valuable thing to have. Overall, I am very happy that I ordered the system and am able to be so proactive with the security of my home. It will allow me to sleep better at night, and that is something you can't put a price on.

Good service and easy to install. I had a few questions and the company answered them every time I called. I think I have to wait a few minutes on hold to get a rep, but they were very helpful. The system works like advertised and they call you immediately as soon as an alarm is triggered.

The install was easy and intuitive. I have chosen to monitor to the system and had one trigger where they responded very quickly as expected. The only concern I have with the system is the flash drive software and how it works on a Mac. When installing on a PC there are no issues but with the Mac interface the programming needs to be improved.

Great system - outstanding service. Base unit made unexpected sound after a few months of service. SimpliSafe replaced it immediately at no cost. I needed advice on one of the components in May and one of their technicians responded quickly with accurate information. Monitoring system works as expected.

There are minor glitches with the system. The transponder device needs to be in a precise sort of location, and occasionally needs to be reset. The alarm sometimes says it's off when it's on and when the alarm sounds it gives you a heart attack because it is so loud. Other than that it's simple and easy to use and the people who monitor are very serious.

SimpliSafe folks are friendly and knowledgeable. The package that I purchased on Angie's List had all the pieces I needed to secure my home. There are several packages and if that does not work for you, you can buy a custom package where you get to pick and choose the pieces you need for your security system. The quality of the equipment is not as good as my ADT system in another home, but it seems to work fine. I had to replace a keypad which was an easy process. It came quickly, and the return of the old one was easy. There was free shipping both ways along with a return label. I called in for support 2 times since April. You get to troubleshoot as the technician using SimpliSafe's technical support staff when you call in. It's not difficult. You remove batteries and their covers and then replace batteries and give information to the technical support folks on the phone that tell you what to do. Now, here is where the real savings come in...MONITORING. I believe that basic monitoring is about $15-$16 a month without a contract. I opted for the phone call notification along with the text notification for active alarms for about $20 a month. That is much cheaper than ADT and many others. All in all I would give them a grade of B because there is no A -.

The alarm system is very simple to install. It took me about 1 hour to learn and install the system... about 15 windows/doors. The instructions are very clear. I recommend using the USB remote for instructions. If you want a strong, loud alarm, I would recommend 2 105dB sirens. I really enjoy no contracts. I can add equipment/features to the system any time in the future. The only downside is I believe you have to call to turn off service. I could not find how to do it online....

The system is fairly easy to install--takes about an hour or so. There is a waiting period after the system is installed until it becomes active, and we were a little confused about when SimpliSafe was going to contact us again. We have had a few problems with the alarm base--it couldn't connect to WiFi even though it was right next to a window. After we called a few times, SimpliSafe sent us a new "card" to install in the base, which was easy to do but didn't solve the problem. They finally send us a whole new base. The system has never had any false alarms, and it's very easy to use. We haven't had a break-in, so I can't speak to that aspect of the system. In general we are happy with it now, but the issues with the base were frustrating and we felt SimpliSafe could have moved a little quicker on the solution.
