The SimpliSafe system is highly rated according to its reviews and reasonably priced for the system itself and, even more importantly, the monthy monitoring fee. (I paid for more than the basic system because my new home has more entry points - 4 doors--all of which can now be secured.) I also received plenty of instructional materials through links in email. Description of Work: It is a DIY setup. Not hard but read carefully. I like the fact it works well and didn't cost $1500 like adt. Monitoring service is optional but I did sign up for the $15 per month plan.

Description of Work: They do not perform installation services. I got the package from them and did a self install. Instructions for installation are good and there is a phone number to call in case there are questions, but I did not use them. The quality of the product is not A-class, as I had one of the sensors perform intermittently.

Description of Work: We didn't actually have services performed but purchased the SimpliSafe security system. It was very easy to install. I would definitely recommend this system. It is saving us a lot of money over the security system we previously had.

Description of Work: Self-installed security system is pretty user friendly and customer service (once I got to the right person) was pretty helpful in answering questions about how devices worked (using glass-break sensors in lieu of multiple entry contacts, etc). Some confusion in how to set up additional devices that came separate from the Angie's package (may have been a case of outdated instructions in the box vs. on-line). Pretty cool that you can load/maintain settings on a USB thumb-drive.

Description of Work: SimpliSafe is a easy to install easy to use home security system. And through Angie's List, at a great price. I received the system within a week and was able to customize the system beyond from that which was in the standard offer.

Description of Work: This is a home security system that is designed to be installed by the homeowner. I saved about $150 by buying this package deal from Angie's List. This is a well designed and reliable system. And SimpliSafe provided excellent support for my installation and familiarization of the system, both through the use of a computer wizard and by phone. All sensors and components are very easy to install using a removable tape system. The SimpliSafe web site contains good guidance and videos on installation. I also ordered additional sensors/components for more security coverage, which were mailed promptly. There are no contract requirements and the monitoring service I signed up for costs only $15 per month.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate and these people drove me crazy calling me all the time. I told them that I was just getting estimates right now. They were very pushy. Never got a home security system from them and will not in the future
