Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $259 for a complete home security system - no hidden fees, no contract required. My experience is going well.

Description of Work: I purchased a custom system. None of the packaged systems would suit my needs so I just used the % off that Angie's members receive and ordered what I thought I needed. The response to a question on Angie's List was fast and great. | |I paid for expedited shipping and the representative told me I'd receive it on Wednesday because I was ordering over the weekend and it would not ship until Tuesday. That Wednesday was my husband's birthday and he spent all day waiting on a shipment that didn't show until the next day. I called SimpliSafe and customer service was kind enough to refund me my shipping but I was extremely annoyed at them telling me it was a courtesy to me because it takes a day to put together before shipping. Had they looked at the tracking they would have seen that it was the mail deliverer that took too long and not my lack of understanding. | |So I was a little perturbed then but still happy. It was super easy to install and get started. I got the full monthly monitoring and I love being able to see who's code is used to enter my home (nice to know when the landlord was there). | |So here is where it gets tricky with customer service again. I emailed to ask how to return two extra sensors. Remember earlier I said I did a custom order? Well I said that on the email too. I got a canned response saying there are no refunds on the individual items that come in one of the packages they sell. Obviously the rep did not actually READ the email or my order so I tried again asking for a response after pointing out again that I had a custom order and not a package deal. I received yet another canned response stating the exact same thing. Now what kind of customer service has more than one rep not READING and responding without care? This was enough to get me p***** off enough to call and complain. The phone rep was very nice and sent me a shipping label via email and is going to refund me the full amount of both sensors that I am returning. There was no tracking receipt so we'll see how it goes. I sincerely hope that this was the last of my problems with customer service. | |I rarely write reviews, let only this long. I did so this time so that I can save others some time and frustration. Honestly, I love the product! I just think they need to train their customer service reps better. I mean I laid out enough money for this product to warrant someone actively listening to me. So I gave them an overall B.

Description of Work: Insurance company required me to install a monitored alarm system to continue my coverage. This was easy to install and the monthly fees for the monitoring service were the most reasonable (translation - cheapest) I could find. You install it your self and it was very easy from start to finish

Description of Work: I purchased a self install burglar alarm system. They were very professional and knowledgable on the phone. I received my system in about 3 days from order time.

Description of Work: System is easy to set up, as advertised. They claim that the base station can be as far as 100' from the keypad. However, mine has to be in the same room, because the key pad kept stating "out of range" when the base was in the next room. Also, the chime from the keypad should be louder, to remind you to key in your passcode number when you enter the home. While I do not need hearing aids (yet), many do, and having a louder chime would be helpful. Having tested the system, and checked the log online, I am satisfied it is doing what it should, as advertised.

Description of Work: Simplisafe is a self install alarm system without the big alarm company price tag. The monthly monitoring service is 24.99 and is the same monitoring service the big ticket services uses. The product has worked flawlessly since I installed it...I installed 11 window/door sensors, a motion detector, 105db siren and the keypad. Really gives us piece of mind knowing we have some added protection
