Description of Work: I ordered two home security systems from Simplisafe. The equipment is a little pricey, but the equipment is yours to keep. You install the Simplisafe yourself which is relatively easy. They have three different services to chose from with no contracts. So you can always cancel or upgrade your service with no hidden fees or contracts. Only one woman from Customer Service sounded annoyed at my questions. However, overall the Customer Service was very nice, informative and answered all my questions. I did call a few times to verify a few things since I was ordering two systems for two different residents. I do highly recommend this security service.

The system works as advertised. My only complaint, which is very minor, is that the keypad does not have a backlight which would make it easier to use.

The one recurring issue we're having is when the base unit loses connectivity with dispatch. It happened twice in the first month, and while it's an easy fix, it's disconcerting that it happens at all.

Description of Work: They sent the security system and I installed it. Then I activated the monitoring service after a three day trial to get used to it. It all went well. I do think I will need additional devices to make the system more user friendly for our situation.

Description of Work: We purchased a wireless home security system from Simplisafe. It was very easy to self install and I have had reason to call for assistance a few times. Their telephone support has been consistently excellent and they always help to solve any issues. If you install a system, make sure to register for a permit from your county otherwise, the responding police agency may require payment for responding.

Description of Work: I bought a SimpliSafe alarm system. I was easily able to install it myself. Currently I use their service on a monthly basis. |I was very impressed with the system as a whole. Especially the communication part of the system. My wife and I are both notified via text and email when anything is set or unset to the system. The central station even calls me when I test any of the devices. Recently I added a smoke detector and CO2 detector. When I tested them I received a call from the central station telling me they received a test signal and asked me to confirm that was the case. On occasion when I've lost power in the home and nobody was there, I received the texts that the power was out and the system was on battery power. When power was restored, again I received the text that power was restored. It is a relief to know I can rely on the system to send me updates like these when nobody is at home. Also I am able to set the status of the system remotely which is very convenient at times. | |I would highly recommend the SimpliSafe system and company for your security needs. |

Description of Work: SimpliSafe home security system was shipped promptly, comes with easy-to-understand instructions and appears to be a good quality security system. There was good communication from the customer support team letting me know when the system shipped and they were helpful when I called them with a quick install question. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a self-installed security system that doesn't require you to lock yourself into a long-term contract.

Description of Work: This is a self install alarm system. It was extremely easy to set up. The only glitch was that I had to reset the base unit before it would pick up the cellular signal to reach the dispatch center. The configuration using the USB thumb drive even worked on a Mac!

Description of Work: Sent me the package. I have not installed as I am looking for something that provides automation of locks and video. But this package is very complete in terms of entry security. Components look a little dated but the functionality is great, just no automation connections or video. So I am not using, will give away to a relative.
