Description of Work: Good price and equipment seems adequate. Thankfully I haven't had to "use" the equipment yet for an actual event, but all functioned well during testing, and family feels safer with it installed. Only gripe is that some of the sensors (entry sensors, particularly) are awfully big, but that is probably a price you pay for the wireless convenience. No regrets, easy set up, fair price. I plan to continue to use, and would gladly recommend them to others.

Description of Work: THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THEY DO NOT HAVE 24 HOUR TECHNICAL HELP - so I have experienced an overnight delay with getting technical help. Once I am able to speak with themtThey talked me through the installation (which I did not find as simple as advertised). I am somewhat technically challenged - they were very patient and helpful. There was a problem with the cellular service they were using to operate their system in my area. SIMPLISAFE changed their provider of cellular service and sent me a new part for free. They talked me through the installation of the new part.

Description of Work: Great products but not so great customer service. I wasn't impressed with their customer service. My experience is that I bought a system off their website about 5 days prior to finding the awesome deal on Angies List. When I contacted SimpliSafe about the deal I found on Angies list they tried to tell me there was no such deal. They even tried to tell me Angies List was selling me a refurbished system because of the great price, which was untrue as I received a brand new system. Simplisafe wanted me to pack up my system and send it to them for a refund instead of just price matching the $80 savings. I just ended up not wanting to go through the hassle and kept both systems. I just added the extras to make one big system. Only drawback is I was stuck with an extra base and an extra keypad that I didn't need.

Description of Work: I was a little reluctant to buy a self-install home security system, but after some frustrations with one of the big-name security companies (who I think has some hubris from the idea that they're the only game in town), I decided to give it a go. I am so glad I did! It was as easy to install as advertised. I added some extra sensors and a panic button for my own (and my parents') piece of mind - the system is very customizable. It's really reasonably priced, with a couple of subscription level options. Their customer service and follow up has been really great, too.

Description of Work: We purchased a fairly basic package via the Angie's list deal. It was very easy to install and program. We aren't yet using the call service due to internet connection problems on our end. Install was super easy and the devices seem reliable -- except the smoke detector. We had to change the (special) battery almost right away. And within a few days it started beeping again. We plan to contact the company to resolve. Will see.

Description of Work: I chose the items I wanted for my system directly on their website. The system arrived and I installed the various sensors. I did not use the supplied adhesive tape, but used the supplied screws instead. |Interestingly some of the sensor serial numbers were pre-entered incorrectly. I caught that and setup was a breeze. I have the monitoring plan with mobile access to my system. I am very happy with the system so far and the no contract monitoring.
