Description of Work: Called 800 number to ask sales dept. a question about pricing. Nearly 15minute wait time for a sales hotline was surprisingly high. It made me wonder how long it would take if i ever needed support. Person i spoke to was rather dismissive of my question. I was about to place an order, but this experience made me change my mind.

Description of Work: We ordered and installed the SimpliSafe system for a vacation home. We didn't realize that 1) this is a mobile phone connected system and 2) the sensors are sensitive to metal frames. It has take five months of back and forth with the company to get the system operating properly. We've spent hours on the phone with them and have replacement parts sent repeatedly. That's the bad news. The good news is that they were consistently helpful and pleasant to deal with. To summarize, if you have good cell coverage and wooden or vinyl windows, this is a great, affordable and flexible system. If not, you should either consider another home security solution or be prepared for lots of trial and error to get it operating properly.

Basically, you install the system and then you are not locked in to pay a monthly fee, but you can upgrade to get extra features and operate your system from anywhere. Very smart and economical.

Description of Work: Simplisafe was easy to install and they had everything I needed. I added on to one of the packages and got more than what I had with another security system at $45 per month less. I've had several instances when the alarm has gone off and Simplisafe is on top of it. I recommended it to both my daughters who purchased the system and are happy with it.
