Description of Work: It's a wireless service I installed myself. No one comes to the house. If I sell the house the system comes with me. No nails, drilling. Two sided tape. Outstanding!!! I can get as little or as much as I want the basic starts at 14.99, that the number I showed you, not what I chose, everyone is different. Motion sensors, windows, doors, whatever your needs will be simpi safe will help you get the system that's right for you and YOUR family. Also NO long term contracts, month to month if you wish, truly unlike any other security system out there today....10 times better and 10 times more secure.

Description of Work: I purchased a security system package from SimpliSafe. They don't do the installs but there have people to help you and a ton of video's. It turned out to be very simple. They also suggested calling my police department prior to turning on the monitoring and that turned out to be excellent advice. This company was easy to deal with and I have recommended them to others.

Description of Work: This was super easy to install and was very easy to set up. Anytime I have a question I can log into my account and email them, I have a response within an hour. I have had the system since September and have not changed the batteries for those who have that question. I have the window sensors, dorr sensors, fire/smoke alarm, and motion sensor. I get alerts on my phone and my emailand can log into my account to check to see if I set the alarm or to see what pin disarmed or armed tha alarm. I used the second pin when I had a dog walker. It came into great use when I could verify that my alarm was disarmed and they did actually come to my house, and for how long, when they would arm it. I also saw when they left and did not arm it. This is a great system, I am a renter. My neighbor has it too, she owns. I was compelled to get it becuase I saw she had it. I definitely feel that this was a great purchase and would recommend to anyone!

Description of Work: We had some issues with the cell connectivity and they promptly sent out a replacement SIM card which fixed the issue. Once in awhile text message alerts don't come through on our cell phones when they should, but no false alarms ever and we feel much safer. Have installed for other family members as well and they are happy too.

Description of Work: Purchased security system. It was self installed. We didn't receive a sign with it as expected but they sent one free of charge when we notified them.

Description of Work: Tried to contact customer service twice. First time on hold for 30 minutes, left message and they called me back over 7 hours later at 9:30 PM. Today called again about a question and again on hold. Gave up and sent an email. Will see how long it takes to respond to my email.

Description of Work: This may be premature; I am not all the way through the process of installing this do-it-yourself (DIY) system -- in fact, the components have not arrived. (If my experience turns out different, I'll come back and modify this post.) After interviewing a couple of local installation services (OmniGuard and Portland Security), whom I found to be very professional, I decided to opt for this highly regarded DIY vendor for several reasons. First, the local services had low up-front equipment cost but $35-$45 monitoring charges with a 2-3 year commitment. I am paying $25/month with SimpliSafe (there is an even less expensive $14/month plan). Perhaps more appealing is, these are month-to-month contracts without obligation for renewal. I checked consumer complaints bureaus and on-line technical reviews, and SimpliSafe looks good. Finally, SimpliSafe had the diversity of sensors (flood, smoke, broken glass) I wanted. They weren't limited to intrusion alarm sensors. Online installation videos were very clear. Only downsides are the wireless network protocol is proprietary and they "are still working on" adding cameras to their selection. A proprietary network does not permit other home automation devices to communicate using open protocols like ZigBee, Z-Wave, X10 etc. Unless you were planning on hooking up your other appliances to the intrusion/fire alarm system, this probably is not an issue for you.

Description of Work: We saw how high Simplisafe was rated on Angie's List and did some more work on the net seeing what kind of other reviews and how this company does their business. We could not find anything that would sway us onto another home security company, so we bought with Simplisafe. The products are very easy to set up and use and the aftercare is top notch. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in a home security system.
