I ordered a Simplisafe system through Angie's List. The price was very good, less than half of what I would have paid directly from the company. The equipment arrived within a few days. The equipment included one motion monitor, a siren, key board, four entry sensors, a freeze monitor, signs and the base set. It was very easy to install and activate. It took about 90 Minutes to completely alarm the house and set up the equipment. You might consider ordering an additional motion monitor if you own a larger house. The system uses a cellular connection to the monitoring center, which eliminates the need for hard wiring of the equipment. The sensors are all equipped with long life batteries and are mounted with non-permanent adhesive strips which are provided with the equipment. We began with basic monitoring which was very inexpensive, but have upgraded to monitoring which can be controlled on line when we are away from home. You are allowed to have multiple entry codes, which enables you to know exactly who has entered the houses. These can also be set or altered on line. We are very pleased with the system and would recommend it to anyone. The system is also portable, so if you moved, you just take it with you to a new location.

This is a self installed home alarm system, and it could not have been any easier! The box containing the alarm components arrived by FedEx a few days after I ordered it. I am tech savvy, but even a beginner could install the system. They have taken the mystery out of alarm systems, and made it easy. My monthly monitoring fee is very minimal, and I have great confidence in the system. It is fully featured and easily expanded. The only word of caution is that there has apparently been a long delay in securing approval for fire/smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. I was not concerned about that -- when they are made available I'll probably add them, but my main reason for purchasing the system was for burglar and intrusion alarms. If you are interested in a self installed system at a reasonable price, with reasonable monitoring fees, this is worth a serious look.

So far, we have had the system for about a week, and it is working very well.

In short, my daughters (and their roommates) loved the alarm systems and said that everybody slept better knowing that their home was being monitored. Everybody has a keychain remote so that the remote can be disarmed/armed with using the keypad if so desired. Distress and safe words can be defined in the event a real breakin or accidental tripping occurs. We have been Simplisafe customers for about 1 1/2 years and I would highly recommend them. The systems really are easy to set up and work as promised. I, as a dad, also felt better knowing that my daughter's homes were being monitored. We upgraded to the Simplisafe 2 base stations in June 2012 and I'm glad that we did. I went ahead and sprung for the $25 / month plan for each daughter because you can then get web access to the alarm systems and see activity logs, provide a user-defined name for each sensor that will be included in the text message that you recieve if the alarm is triggered (so that you'll know exactly which sensor was tripped), arm/disarm the system, and other features that I felt would be useful to us. The system also uses cell phone techonology to "phone home" should an alarm be tripped, so no landline is required. In short, I would highly recommend Simplisafe to anyone.

I had read about this home alarm system on Angie's list and could not belive all the reviews that said that the instalation can be done in minutes. I had ordered the system online and got their latest Simplisafe2 system. It was shipped within a few days and it arrived at my house promptly. I did procastinate opening the box and installing it as I thought it would take a long time. Finally on 31st december I opened the system and after midnight started installing it, even in the slepy state I got the system setup and operating within 30 min and that included 4 door sensors and 2 motion detectors. They performed flawlessly. I had 2 false alarms and they promptly called me about it to inquire if I was safe. I would recomend this service to others in a heartbeat, I actually did recommend this service to my friend already!

The Simplisafe system has all the features I am looking for in a system, and I can take it with me when I move. The system was shipped promptly and arrived a day before I expected. The price was the best of 12 systems I researched. With the assistance of the supplied video, the installation of the Simplisafe alarm system was every bit as simple as promised. After 72 hours of "practice", the system went live. I now feel safe knowing that my home is being monitored. I hope I never accidentally set off the alarm or have an actual attempted break-in, but if I do, I will be back here to submit a review.

I spent about $350 on the equipment know that I would save a lot of money down the road by sticking to the $15/mo service plan. Installation did not take an hour, but it was fairly simple. (I did not want to solely "stick" my sensors to the door, I wanted to screw them on.) The "central unit" is a good idea overall, but I'm concerned with how it's advertised. The video says you can hide it so that robbers don't smash it, but then the instructions encourage you to put it close to a window for an optimal radio signal. Seems a little contradictory. Product is not as loud as wired system b/c it runs on batteries, but it's still effective. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

After buying our big deal, we called to order our system. The transaction was completed very easily and they offered suggestions on how to keep our system robust and offer maximum security without waste. Their website is intuitive and easy, and the customer service is excellent. We needed different door sensors due to our old home and they accomodated our request and we received the new parts the next day! (We are in the same state). Setup was easy and efficient. We did need to use a different mounting tape on the motion sensors than those included, but that was likely due to our wall type, not the adhesive type. Door sensors installed effortlessly. We had all components and keypad installed in a hour. The instructions are very easy and clear. It seems like a great system backed up with great service, and after a lot of research, the BEST value for complete monitoring.

THe product arrived intact and set up was a snap, as I had anticipated after watching that video on their site. The system seems to work pretty good so far. But it's still early. Even the app is ok on my android phone. So far so good, but I would have liked the master keypad to have buttons that are a little bigger.

I saw the Big Deal and watched the instructional video. Throughout the weekend, I sent questions to the Customer Service Department and they responded within hours. Once I knew what I needed for my home, I completed the Big Deal purchase and I added a separate order for the additional sensors. Within two days, the entire order arrived and I had it all installed in about two hours. It's wireless and the set up was very simple. The best part with this is that the monitoring service is only 14.99 a month - which is a lot cheaper than other services. I have had two false alarms and was called by the monitoring center within seconds. I have two minor complaints about the system. First, the keypad isn't back-lit, so you need a light to see the numbers. Another complain is that you cannot identify the sensors or have zones. So, if there is an open door/window, the pad only tells you that an entry sensor is open - it doesn't tell you which one.

Order arrived quickly. Very easy to install. High quality components. Like that it is cellular (non-wired) and their monitoring service is without a contract. I would recommend.

Great system, easy to install and works well.

The system came a few days after buying the coupon and as described took 30-45 minutes to install. Everything was easy to follow along with and I had no issues putting the system in place. Upon testing I found that one of the sensors wasn't working correctly and Simplisafe promptly put a new one in the mail to exchange for no charge. We are about a week into the first month of monitoring and everything seems to be working well.

The voucher arrived immediately and the order was processed quickly and efficiently. My contact with the customer support staff has been very positive - they have been most helpful. The system is easy to install and use.

It's too soon to say how happy I am with the alarm system. I purchased this through a Big Deal promotion on Angie's List and am disappointed that both the company and Angie's List misrepresented the true cost of the product (without the deal). That's not to say it's not still a good deal, but the value of the package was falsely inflated, which lis unprofessional and leaves one feeling a bit distrustful fo both companies.

SimpliSafe is a great product that is easy for the DIYer to install, configure, and maintain.

I installed and have used the system for over two weeks and it functions exactly as advertised. I have not yet had the alarm triggered (thankfully) however having had an alarm system from one of the major companies for over 12 years I feel the level of service I need is comparable. Pros: easy to install (no wires) no contract monitoring service has different price levels or you can choose no monitoring the highest cost monitoring plan provide text alerts, turn system on and off via smartphone etc and is still much less money per month than other "contract req'd" alarm companies land line Not required (uses cellular service) portable- can take it with you Cons: Customer Service is only open Monday - Friday so if you run into issues with the system or set up you have to wait until they are open (monitoring svc is open 24/7)

Installation was easy. It took me about 30 minutes to install the sensors, and another 30 configure the system and activate it with SimpliSafe. In the three or so months the system has been installed it has been easy to use. There have been three issues with hardware: 1) I mounted the outside siren using the sticky pads provided. Apparently they do not stand up to moisture well, because at some point it fell off onto the ground. I did not notice until after a rain storm which left the siren soaking in a puddle. By the time I found it the water had damaged it and it no longer works. So if you get the outside siren use some screws to hold it in place securely. 2) One of the remotes only works intermittently. This is not a big problem as we have the keypad as a fallback to arm/disarm the system. 3) There have been two false alarms from one of the motion sensors. We do not know if this is an issue with the sensor, or if it is being triggered by our small (less than 10 lbs.) dog. The orientation of the sensor was changed after the second false alarm - a recommendation on the SimpliSafe site - so hopefully that will address the issue. So overall we are happy. We have an alarm system that was easy to install, does what it is supposed to, and does not hit us with a big bill every month. We would purchase again, and would recommend them to friends.

The online ordering process is great and easy. The shipping was extremely fast, it took the package less than 3 days to arrival. The price is unbeatable. The installation is EASY, it took me less than 1 hour to finish the whole installation. $20 per month is cheapest I can find, the greatest thing about Simplisafe is that NO CONTRACT. Other vendors (ADT, FrontPoint) have to go with at least 1 year contract. The cheap price comes with a cost: - No technical support after 6PM EST. This is a bit headache as I am not home between 7AM-6PM EST and it is probably worst for people in west coast

The service has worked out very well. I have not had any issues and they are always very prompt in contacting us.

We love them. They are a great company. They are very helpful with anything we need and are always on top things. We have had no problems. They are very responsive and their prices are economical. We chose them because they were the most economical. As we have upgraded our system they have continued to be great.

Their service has gone nicely. They are as good as any and inexpensive. The only downside it that they do not offer technical support on the weekends.Overall I am happy with them.
