The system was delivered in a few days and was incredibly easy to install. All of the motion detectors, door sensors, and key pad were installed in less than thirty minutes. It was easy to set up our various codes through the internet.

I purchased a self install kit from them. It was easy to install and set up. Fast and helpful customer support. I had trouble getting an alarm monitoring permit from the city, and they helped me through it. My one knock on the service is that the hardware to install around the house is pretty big and ugly. they should focus on a better design.

It went very well, just be sure you have enough devices for door, hallways, windows, etc.

I ordered the complete system when it was on the Black Friday sale and we can't be more satisfied. Give us all the features we need and more to give us peace of mind that we and our home is being protected 24/7 for a great price. We set off our system many times and the pre-warninig is great for us to dis-arm it before they call to make sure we are ok. The response time of caller center if we do not disarm is within 20 seconds. We answer and give the secret code so they do not send emergency personnel. Has a 3 tier pricing options as well which gives options if we want to control system via smart phone or receive text/email alerts when system events occur. System was a breeze to setup for any level of technical experience. No phone line required as base station has its own cell radio inside which is great to know that burgulars cannot cut our phone lines thinking they cut our alarm svc - nope Simplsafe will still work even if the power is cut.

- don't get this system if you need to be sure it will work - do check the total price you are paying upfront plus the monthly charge and divide it out. - not a real cost savings. - do get this system if you don't want a contract and only want to hear an alarm for your piece of mind. At least 1 a month my system will say no link to dispatcher.

I thought this was a real good deal for the buck. I bought a system that was self installed. They did not have to come out to my house. I love this system because it does not require that you buy a long term contract. You can just install and go. This company was very pleasurable to deal with. They kept me informed on what the system was about and the many other specifications that would be featured on the alarm. They were very helpful and offered me the option to return the product if I was not satisfied with it. The overall conversation I had with them left me open to a lot of options and I was real comfortable with the investment. There was no issues, no attitudes, everything was great. I like the product, I am very happy with it.

Customer service people are friendly and knowledgeable whenever I've called and are very helpful.

SimpliSafe was the only company that actually answered our questions knowledgeably. Others we called could only give us answers that they read off their computer screen. They also were able to answer our questions without launching into their sales spiel which we didn't need because we already did the research. Installation was very easy as they said on their website. The best thing of all--NO CONTRACT!

No problems, except that the packing slip indicated a lower price for the items included than the Angie's List price that we actually paid (difference of about $50). Didn't bother pursuing the discrepancy because the whole system seemed like a great deal, even at the higher price.

The price for what you got was outstanding. The ease of setup and use is outstanding as well.

I bought an ADT alarm system about 6 years ago after being robbed twice in a thirteen month period of time. Over time I've had problems with the system that ADT was unable to repair correctly, but my monthly rate seemed to increase several times a year. I decided to switch and ordered a system from Simplisafe. Simplisafe sent me an email confirming delivery of my alarm system, but I never received it. When I called to inquire about it, the woman I spoke with was very understanding and helpful. She sent out another system at no additional charge, which I received 3 days later. The system was very easy to install, the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. The only thing I would do differently is to write the sensor number and location of each in the back of the owners manual as each was installed. The keypad can tell you if a sensor is malfunctioning. If you don't write down the sensor numbers, it may be hard to tell which one it is. I've only had the system for a few weeks, but I like it much better than ADT. It's quieter and just as easy to use and the monitoring rate is much more reasonable. I pay $14.99 a month for standard service, but you can upgrade if you want to be able to set it from a mobile device or want other features. I like the idea that I can easily reposition the keypad or take the system with me if I move. So far, it has been worth the investment.

Purchased a home security system with a custom mix of sensors. Sensors are all wireless and so is the base station and the keypads and keyfobs. The basic system uses a GSM cell connection to monitor the house. The monitoring fee is significantly less for the same level of service than some of the other providers and no contract is required! The TMobile coverage at my house was not good enough to make the GSM cell connection (even though on-line coverage maps said it should be). After trying for a week to get this to work, Simplisafe provided an interface to go into the broadband connection in my house and then all problems were eliminated. I am very happy with the app on my Droid smart phone that allows me to remotely arm/disarm and see system status. The mix of sensors is very good but am waiting for the release of a compatible smoke detector and glass breakage sensor. Both are due out soon. The company estimates that the batteries in the wireless sensors are generally good for 5 years of service. I used this system to replace an old hard-wire system that I installed years ago. This system is much smarter and with with the internet connectivity, works very well regardless of where family members are. I would recommend this system and provider to others. The self-installation part was trivial.

So far, so good. Really easy installation. Love that we didn't have to use hardware in our old walls.

I installed the system myself. It was super easy. The installation instructions were very clear. When I ran into a snag activatiing the system I called customer support and they talked me thru it in a matter of minutes. I am very happy with the product and the service.

Product arrived well-packaged, all items as described, with good instructions. Install went well; even ordered expansion units after the fact. Good quality product at a great price.

I have had several interactions with the company since the system was delivered. They seemed to be very knowledgeable and, if the actual hardware is as good as the service has been with them, I am confident I will be happy and satisfied with their product.

Once called, I contacted several other companies. One came to my home, ADT, est was $900 and monitoring was going to be near $45 a month for similar system with 3 year contract. One company was giving away a free Kindle HD. Nothing is free and the cost of the Kindle was built into the cost of the system. One company was trying to rush me into the system, felt like I was buying a car. TURN OFF! SImplisafe was the best experience. I installed the system with very little effort. If their was effort, bc I didn;t read the instructions. But their phone assistance resolved ASAP!. Could not be happier with the system! Have had it active for 2 months and it simply works! Have told several of my neighbors about it. It is better than some of their systems that cost twice as much, monthy monitoring cost twice as much and they had to sign a 2-3 year contract for monitoring. I did my research and could find very little negative issues on the internet. I would highly reccomend this system. The reason mine was a little more costly is because I wanted all windows and doors covered and I ordered 4 extra remotes. You could probably do this system for $250 cost with $15 monthy monitoring it you were looking to save $$. Thanks Simplisafe! PS Please get the smoke detectors soon!

I had been alarm service shopping with my former provider and new providers for quite some time. I liked the newer features of remote arming/disarming and cellular communications. After pricing several companies and monitoring, simplisafe offered the best no contract, no fuss installation. The other companies would upgrade my existing system to cellular for a fee and their monitoring services were $35/mo and up with a 3 year contract. I counted my windows and doors and ordered from simplisafe. Installation was very simple and after a few false alarms with the dog, I finally figured out where to place the motion sensors. Their monitoring service has also been great. After an alarm they contact you very quickly, much more quickly than the service I previously used. Also, they have been very polite each and every time they've phoned. The other monitoring service would start off with just "password please." I am very pleased with this system.

iNo frills but very competent alarm service. Used online site to specify number and type of sensors, the items plus controller arrived approx 3 days later, as promised. SOME ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS REQUIRED DURING SELF-INSTALL and SETUP. Laptop, internet access is reqquired for initial setup, but no phone line required for system operation, as advertised. Tested system response, plus had some accidental triggering of alarm in the months that followed. VERY prompt contact after triggers, either with user, alternate contacts, or with authorities. Would recoomend to any technically literate household - no video monitoring available thru the company (saves about $20 per month), but webcam can be added independently.

We were pleased that the components arrived quickly at our front door, were simple to install, and work just as well as any more expensive security system

Very easy to order online, shipped very quickly. They even provide REAL people who contact you when you have a problem.

The instructions in the printed user manual and USB device were a bit clugey. I have metal doors so entry sensors needed different installation not addressed in available instructions. I followed directions and avoided electronics when installing the motion sensor, but installed it above a furnace heat vent. I learned later from calling the company that the motion sensor is really a heat sensor. That is why it triggered an alarm the first day when I set the system and went out. Now my motion sensor is near cool electronics but away from heat vents, and no heat alarms are triggered.

We found their help line was very helpful. We were able to speak to a person, which was amazing. They were able to walk us through some troubles with our install, and even make suggestions to help us.
