I searched a great deal for a security system that would fit my needs and have been very pleased with SimpiSafe. You can make it as simple or as complex as your situation allows. It's self-installed with their assistance via phone or internet. They have been quick to respond to any issues and great about explaining things.

I purchased the equipment online and installed it. Very simple to install; anyone could do it. I cancelled with ADT and switched to SimpliSafe. I would do it again. Better equipment at a much better price.

You can even add more monitors later. You own the equipment & there are NO CONTRACTS to sign. You can even choose to have or not have it monitored. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this and even have it listed on my blog page. And customer service has always been great.

I now pay a reasonable monthly fee (less than $20) for 24/7 monitoring.

You install it. it's easy to do and they monitor it for a monthly fee. I use it 6 months a year when I travel.

Easy Self Install with "Command Strips" included. 24 hr monitoring with cell phone text alerts and remote control through your cell phone app for $25 per month or 24 hour monitoring with text alerts (no remote control) for $20 per month or just 24 hour monitoring with phone calls if something goes wrong for $15 or no monitoring at all-you can pick as you go. My original alarm company (using the house phone) was approx $40 per month and if I wanted to upgrade to cellular they wanted to add an addition $60 per month I have far more control through their website and my iphone with SimpliSafe for much less money. You do have to buy the components (see the pricing on the web site)and make sure that there is cellular service in your area. The base unit is the brains of the outfit and it speaks out loud if something is wrong- Recently i installed (with the included command strips) a water module on the base of my refrigerator (because we had a ice maker line break that flooded the house previously). After the installation we accidentally sloshed some water while washing the kitchen floor and the Base unit immediately informed me -repeatedly -that there was a water sensor in trouble while my phone got a text alert and then they called my house to tell me they were receiving a flood alarm. Keying in my pin code in the keypad turned off the alarm. Darn good service if you ask me for $25 a month. The only issue that i have experienced is that on a handful of occasions the base unit told me that it had lost connectivity to the cell company-This is most likely attributed to the cell service. It hasn't happened in months but it obviously can be a problem if there is break in or similar and the base unit is not in contact (you can use a phone line as a backup) This is why I say make sure there is strong cell service in your area and why i gave them a B overall instead of an A (I'd really make it a B+ but that's not an option). Having said all that, when my kid comes home and turns off the alarm system with his unique code and my cell phone lights up to tell me that he's disarmed the system (i.e. he's home safe)something my expensive alarm company could not do I am very glad that I have SimpliSafe watching my house.

SimpliSafe is an outstanding wireless home security system. I purchased it through an Angie's list offer, and have been very pleased with the results. I recently added several smoke and carbon monoxides detectors and added them all to the system in less than 1/2 hour. The fact that the system is based on cellular service means I don't have to have an active phone or internet connection to be able to secure service.

I self-installed the sensors and fired it up. One device did not work correctly, but they swapped it out for me. The monitoring service works well.

I purchased a self install security from them. I considered the come-ons from other companies initially. Their freebies sounded good until you actually looked at what you were getting plus you were locked into a 2-year service contract. The actual equipment they were offering "free" would not have been sufficient for our home and we would have had to purchase a lot of add-ons. While I had not heard of SimpliSafe before the reviews of SimpliSafe were good and I liked their online web site. No contracts. No nonsense. Money back guarantee if you were not satisfied. I could buy exactly what I needed. I did order an additional alarm and 2 more door monitors for the garage door access and also the storage barn after doing the original installation. Wireless installation was as simple and easy as promised. We have the monthly monitoring service for $14.99. When the alarm has been accidentally set off they are in immediate telephone contact with us. My wife likes the system, too. It makes her feel more secure at night. All in all we are very pleased with the system. SimpliSafe delivered exactly what it promised.

This alarm company sells the individual alarm sensors and the customers install the components themselves. The company also has a 24/7 monitoring service as an extra service and I have that too. The sensors were easy to install. Luckily I have not had a break in so I'm not sure how fast the monitoring service would contact me if a break in were to happen. The cost of the monitoring service is $24.99 per month. The cost of the individual sensors is obtained on their web site, but the cost of the total sensors obviously depends on how many a person needs (for windows, doors, motion etc.)

Customer service answered all our questions. It was very easy to install and is working very well.

I did upgrade from basic plan after a few months so that could track who enters home, and control monitor from smart phone.

SimpliSafe is unique in that all the equipment can be installed by the. user. I installed "trips" on all my doors and windows and motion detectors outside and in rooms that I do not enter during the night.|I have their loud alarms inside and out. Everything is wireless.|I set the alarm before I go to bed confident that the alarms will scare off any potential intruder.|I have not signed up for the call center feature so I avoid the monthly fee because it is unlikely the police will arrive in time to make a difference; but I may do this at some future date.

I have ADT in my main house. I needed an alarm system for the newly constructed basement unit and was looking for something cheaper than the $55 per month I pay currently. I knew I could possibly find something cheaper, but wanted to make sure there was 24/7 monitoring. When I discovered SimpliSafe on Angie's list I was a tad skeptical, but decided to go for it based on the hundreds of reviews. I am also not technically savvy and was concerned about the installation process. I placed the order online (easy to navigage website). My order was promptly shipped the next day and arrived on time. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy installation was. Everything went without a hitch. I activated the alarm and now it is fully functional. I recently recevied an email from SimpliSafe confirming that the basement is now being fully monitered. What a phonemonal company. Easy installation, great service, and 24/7 monitoring for $15! Amazing. It'll only be a matter of time before I dump ADT for SimpliSafe in the main house...I've recommended SimpliSafe to my parents and friends as well so they can replace their old and expensive alarm service...The Angie's List ratings are definitely accurate for this provider!
