Simpli safe is the best home security system on the market today. We have been a customer since 2010. It is a wireless system you customize and install yourself. Average cost is around $400.00 with no contract, but what is nice is you own the system and it is portable. We moved it to our new home and reinstalled it here. For the $24.99 monitoring you get instant text alerts and with the app you can control your security system from anywhere.

Simplisafe is a DIY home security system. The system is remarkably easy to install and the monthly monitoring fee is very reasonable. I would have liked an integrated video with the system and there is a rumor that one is in the works. I believe this is a good system for the price.

All windows and doors were alarmed plus motion sensor at fair monthly monitoring price. We bought the equipment so there was no contract.

Works great and saves me about $100 a year on my home insurance. Very easy to use and the monitoring service is only $14 a month.

You buy and own your equipment. Super easy to install, everything is wireless and took me about 2 hours to do the whole house and a shop. Base station is cellular, works well wherever you install it in your home. Monitoring is exactly the same as other major brand companies and works well. No contracts, cost monthly can be changed at any time depending on what service level you want. You can even drop monitoring if you want, no penalties or additional costs, then start up again at any time. I chose this system based on its flexibility and long term costs. I have Had this system for 8 months now, very happy with the system and the service this company provides.

We bought their security system and installed it ourselves. They provide monitoring for the last couple of years. We are pleased with the service and especially the low cost!

We bought a simplisafe2 system for our new 1907 home. They provide alarm system and monitoring, you install system yourself. Very easy to install. Even have videos on Youtube on how to install. Very good monitoring system.

The product lived up to the their website claims regarding performance and ease of installation.

It was advertised as a DIY product and that is what it was. I had no issues with the installation. It is working as advertised. The monthly fee is about half the price of competitors. The equipment reasonably priced. It is a month-to-month service that can be cancelled at any time, but I have no plans to cancel. I am very pleased with the service.

Certainly the initial impressions were highly positive. The equipment is very easy to set up and very logically laid out in terms of the operating system and menu system from within keypad/text screen. I had no problems setting up all the components as the original base station and keypad had those already entered - which is much appreciated as a convenience feature. It was also very easy to add additional components. And for several months, the system appeared to work flawlessly, using the android app running on a basic galaxy 3/4 smart phone. This allows you to turn the system on or off remotely and gives you very prompt text messages and status updates. So far so good. | |Trouble started however with the operating system within the base station malfunctioning after about 2 1/2 months such that we could no longer communicate remotely with the system. This necessitated our neighbor going into the property and pulling out the batteries and resetting the base station. Although this is a relatively easy operation, it obviously cannot be done remotely, and is a bit of a hassle to ask a neighbor to do this. | |Then in our third trip down to the property, the keypad operating system malfunctioned, and we came into the property but were unable to turn off the alarm despite multiple attempts at entering our PIN code. This apparently took place because the keypad would no longer accept keypad input and clearly had some remapping of keys such that the '3' key became mapped to the panic button (!). This resulted in multiple false alarms including one that was not canceled as we were away from our cell phone, resulting in a visit by the local sheriff at 3 AM - and a charge to us in relationship with that false alarm visit. Then there are the problems and actually reaching somebody at Simplisafe. Although they are very prompt in calling your number when an alarm is activated, they are exceptionally difficult to reach and it often times takes many hours before they will get back to you if there's any kind of technical support or other issue. | |All in all it's a bit of a mixed bag with a promising system that clearly needs debugging in terms of the basic operating system and a reduction of the number of times that either the base system or the keypad has to be reset by pulling out batteries. And there's simply no excuse for a 24-hour lag between a phone call to Simplisafe and a return call. | |So I give them a solid B but no better.

This is a very simple system to install in your home/apartment/business. Completely wireless so there is no land line required. Monthly cost for 24/7 monitoring is reasonable. Their dispatch time is amazing. You can use your computer or your smartphone to program the system as well as the keypad. I have vacant houses on the market and they have proved invaluable. I can move them fairly easily from house to house.

This is a self installed Home Alarm System with cellular connection (and backup land line if one is installed). It is customized so you buy only the equipment you need and can be installed in as little as 15 -20 minutes. It is also upgradable and can be moved from your apartment to a new home (or bigger home). It can be used with or without the optional monitoring service which cost an additional $15.00/month to $25.00/month. The $15.00 is more than adequate for me. It works great and certainly beats other services like ADT.

I bought the system on-line. The product was delivered promptly. The instructions are clear and installing the system components was easy. We now have "home" and "away" security monitoring on our home. The system has worked just as advertised. Very pleased with the system and, if we move, we will take it with us.

This is all ordered online and I installed it myself. It was really easy...that is saying a lot for me because I am very NON mechanical. The system setup was simple and straightforward. t/he monthly monitoring is inexpensive and accurate. I have had no false alarms and the tests are accurate. I looked at other systems and this was head and shoulders the best for the money. No wires to run, workmen crawling all over my house, and the maintenance is simple.

Switched from ADT. |Installation was very easy. The monthly monitoring cost are significantly less than the big ones. Had to pay for the equipment, but I broke even after 10 months and since then I am saving about $20 per month. And no lock into a multi year agreement. |Support is very reliable and professional. |Would buy from them again at any time.

We purchased a basic system and used their basic monitoring service. The equipment worked fine, though we had to adjust the location some sensors (infrared motion detectors are set off by direct sunlight). Monitoring worked well, was reliable.

There is a keychain which can set or stop the alarm and a panic button which can be used in emergency |One small problem: the screws are a little too small and sometimes do not hold the equipment properly |Otherwise it is a system that you can take w you where ever you go

I have loved SimpliSafe. They are easy to contact when I have questions and I love that no contract is needed. Very happy!

After 18 months, it's lived up to all my expectations. I purchase the $25 a month monitoring service as well. When an alert is triggered the monitoring service calls me within 30 seconds to ask me for my safe word. I check all the sensors every couple of months and everything works as expected. I did have to move the base station around a bit to get it to communicate to all the sensors and the t-mobile 3g network. But once I figured that out I haven't had a problem since.||For the cost and service, it's impossible to beat.

The home alarm purchased from them was affordable and works well. The monthly fee is very reasonable and there is no contract to sign for monitoring. Contacting the company for answers to questions and/or equipment purchases is easy. This experience has been far better than our previous nightmare with ADT. Highly recommend.

See their web site for details. They rely on the cellular network to signal fire or intrusion, and to monitor their equipment. No hard wiring, therefore no equipment failures and no danger of tampering.

They were right, the hot water heater had rusted through and was leaking. We are very thankful we had SimpltSafe.

The one time I did not turn off the system when I went out the police showed up at my door before I could finish walking the dog. Although embarrassing I was impressed with the responsiveness of Simplisafe in calling the police. The equipment is easy to set up and worked out of the box.
