I liked that they had next day installation service for all of their carpet. They came to my house to show me the samples. They showed up in the morning to install the carpet and they did not stop until they left at 5:30 pm. They walked me around to make sure I was happy. We negotiated with them about the price.

They did a very good job. The salesman came as scheduled and had samples of all the rugs as well as recommendations. He was polite and very professional. The installers came and did a good job, even staying late to figure out some tricky configurations in the basement. I didn't like their pay in advance policy. Three years later, the basement still looks great.

The salesman arrived on time for his appointment, and was extremely courteous and professional. He provided samples and estimates, and worked with me on a variety of options. The installer arrived on time, also, and was amazingly professional in his work: he cleaned up after every step of the install, worked straight through from 8AM - 3PM, and checked with me at intervals to get my input. He took great care in moving furniture and replacing it. The floor looks terrific, the price was decent, and my experience with Empire Today was outstanding. I would definitely recommend them!

They worked hard. There was a problem that they had to come back and fix. They used sub contractors that Empire backs up so you go through them to get a hold of the company that does the work. The estimate was unreliable. she was 3 hours late and didn't apologize. I never received a phone call informing me of their tardiness. The floors do look beautiful, but there were a few problems like glue left on transitions. The seller on this company is the financing which 0% for 18 months. So if you can deal with the tardiness, the financing averages it out. I would use them again in some cases but I would definitely research other vendors.

About the only good thing I can say about this company is that they answer their phones and show up when they say they will. Unfortunately, the salesperson who came top my house was a crook working on commission who vastly inflated the square footage of carpet needed. When the installers arrived, they roll of carpet they brought only had about 60% of the sq footage I had paid for (and was more than adequate). When I called after the installation to point out that they had charged me for considerably more carpet than they had even bothered to bring to the job, all I got was a run-around, with claims the the "manager" was out of the office and would return my call (which he never did). After about two weeks of playing this game, I finally initiated a charge-back through the credit card company. That finally got their attention and they finally refunded the amount over-charged. The quality of the work, particularly on the stairs was terrible.

They were the first company available for an estimate. They worked with our schedule and came back a second time to answer additional questions. Once we decided on them they offered to be back out the next day for the install. We chose the following Saturday instead. The crew of three showed up on time and worked straight through until the project was done. After they left we noticed that they only installed one two-shelf caddy (rather than two). We also discovered after showering that there was a drip from the replaced trap. We called Empire and they sent the crew back out the following day. They explained that two may look cluttered so we opted for one three-shelf caddy instead. One quick adjustment and the problem of the drip was solved.

Empire Today didn't measure the right amount of carpet the first time so they had to come out with the proper measurements and install our carpets. I guess that is why I wouldn't give them A's across the board. They did do a good job on my carpets and I am pleased with their service.

Empire has a great sales team that doesn t put so much pressure on you that you feel coaxed into anything. This time around they understood that I wanted something not so expensive to install because I was leaving the home in two years after the lease was up. They knew just what to do and the salesmen helped me pick out the right colors and informed me on the procedure. The workers that installed were very professional, courteous and extremely good at what they do. The entire process was very smoothly done.

I took the day off from work for estimates from Empire for siding, carpets and hardwood flooring. Thirty minutes after my first appointment, they called to say no one was available, for carpet/floor estimates. I previously had an extremely high estimate from them on windows, and used another vendor I was happy with. I have found them unprofessional, misleading on sale terms, and unable to deliver anything but slick ads.

THE SALESMEN CAME LATE TO THE ESTIMATE, THEN AFTER WE ORDERED THE CARPET HE MADE SOME OBSCENE JOKES TO MY HUSBAND. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO INSTALL THE CARPET TODAY.. NEXT DAY... I WAS NOT OVERLY PLEASED WITH EMPIRE CARPET. WHEN THE CARPET IS LOOKED AT CLOSELY YOU CAN SEE CUT LINES. CARPET WAS NOT WRAPPED ON TOP STEP OF STAIRS. ISSUES WITH PRICING. I CALLED TO CANCEL THE ORDER BECAUSE I FELT THE QUOTE I RECEIVED WAS WAY TOO HIGH. THEN I WAS TOLD THEY COULD TAKE 1000 OFF SINCE THE CARPET WAS OVERSTOCKED. SO I BASICALLY ENDED UP GETTING THE CARPET FOR HALF PRICE. HAD I NOT CALLED TO CANCEL THEY WOULD NOT HAVE OFFERED ME A DISCOUNTED PRICE.

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. WE WERE IN A RUSH TO GET THE BASEMENT CARPETED FOLLOWING A FLOOD AND SO WE WERE PERSUADED TO GO WITH THIS COMPANY. YES, THEY CERTAINLY INSTALLED IT QUICKLY, BUT, I THINK THAT THE QUALITY IS TERRIBLE FOR THE PRICE. IN ADDITION, THEIR 'EXPERT' INSTALLERS UNROLLED THE CARPET IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHILE IT WAS RAINING IN ORDER TO CUT IT! THEY THEN HAD AN ATTITUDE WHEN I COMPLAINED. THE INSTALLATION IS UNEVEN AND UNRAVELS AROUND THE STAIRS.
