Went very well. It was some sort of board problem that at first seemed unfixable, but he stayed with it and eventually got it back in order!

Appliance Sale
gave us a price for it (including installation), and said we should call him if we decided to replace the motor (rather than scrap the washer and buy a new one). Said he'd apply the $25 visit charge to the price of the replacement. Two days after we called to say, 'Yes, replace the motor,' he was back, installed in less than 1/2 hour, and we've been keepin' the clothes clean again like mad!
