I was very happy with their work. They did an excellent job installing the new burner and water heater. They were flexible and worked with me on my payment schedule. I have been using them for almost 10 years and have been very pleased with them. They have always been responsive. I would use them again in the future.

All Hohmann staff & team members were excellent to work with; they were kind, considerate, careful and extremely thorough. It was very much appreciated that they put down drop clothes to protect personal property, kept the work area clean/orderly and then completed a post-job clean-up. There were no additional costs to the job so the entire project come in on-budget and on-time. I honestly can’t say enough good things about them without gushing! I highly recommend using this company and will personally recommend them to anyone needing these types of services.

They are expensive. I’ve been dealing with them a long time and I prefer one guy over the others because he seems to do a thorough job. I recommend them.

A Hohmann and Co repaired the electrical work of my furnace in Jan. 2008 and I have not had any problems with it since. They were on time and they had the problem fixed within two hours. They were honest with their prices and I paid what had been previously arranged.

I called and set up a time for them to come and fix the faucet. I called when he was 45 minutes late and they checked in with him and said it would be another hour and they would call back about 30 minutes ahead. About 45 minutes later, I got a call that he was sitting outside my house. He took care of the job and replaced the faucet quickly. It works great.

I really and truly can not remember what we were charged for the work Hohmann did for us. I will say it was absolutely very reasonable and we would be pleased to use their services in the future. We felt valued and satisfied.

During my home inspection, I was told that I had a minor gas leak, nothing major but something I should check on. I hired Hohmann's, and Tom Sr. came to my house to check it out. He said there wasn't a leak and that an issue like this would be addressed in a routine cleaning. I didn't know this. He told my mother, who was with me though I was in another room at that moment, that he would see what he could do on the price and that maybe they could give me a discount on the cleaning since he had already come out to do some work. I mentioned this when I called the dispatcher, and she said that she would call me back with a price, but she never called back. When Tom came, his memory of offering a discount had vanished, and he charged me the full $195 for 45 min. of work. When the issue was raised, he said ''he didn't make the rules'' and didn't acknowledge his offer to my mother. His first visit took 15 min., and cost was $95. I feel like I could've done better had I shopped around.

I called Ed this summer ready to install the boiler. Ed and I discussed the options and he recommended a boiler. Then I kept him waiting... My financing was held up and I had to wait until October to get everything settled. Ed was very patient and able to schedule the work very rapidly once I was able to get the financing. The installation took 3 days, as Ed had promised. The installation and removal of the old boiler was smooth and clean. Ed will be providing my heating oil as well. His company is clearly interested in providing a service. Another service call to ensure the system worked in cold weather was required and the visit was scheduled in less than a day.

Both types of plumbing repairs were done really well. These people know what they are doing. They provide good plumbing services. The hourly rate seems steep ($95), so the overall price climbs quickly. But it's worth it to have a neighborhood plumber who gets the job done well.

VERY FRIENDLY ON THE PHONE. QUOTED AN ACCURATE PRICE. REPAIRMAN WAS ON TIME, VERY HELPFUL FOR ANY QUESTIONS, AND FOUND A PROBLEM WITH THE CHIMNEY CONNECTION WHICH WAS REPAIRED ON A FUTURE VISIT.

THEY DELAYED THE JOB BY A DAY, AND I HAD TO TAKE OFF ANOTHER DAY FROM WORK, AND IT TOOK ME 3 MONTHS TO GET THE WARRANTY PAPERS.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ARRIVED ON TIME. RATES SEEMED COMPETITIVE.

GOOD COMMUNICATION AND FOLLOW-THROUGH. NO HASSLES. ON SCHEDULE. DECENT PRICE.

THE PLUMBER WAS COURTEOUS, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I JUST FEEL THE GOING RATE OF 89.00 FOR APPROX 15-20 MIN OF WORK SEEMS A BIT HIGH. BUT IF THAT IS THE GOING RATE?? I WILL SAY I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY BEFORE AND AGAIN WAS PLEASED WITH THEIR PROMPT ARRIVAL. THEY CAME OUT RIGHT AWAY.

ED HOHMAN RUNS A WONDERFUL, HIGH-QUALITY NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS WITH PERSONAL SERVICE. WHEN MY BOILER, WHICH HAS BEEN IN THE BASEMENT FOR EONS, STARTED LEAKING, A TEAM SHOWED UP ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AND CLEANED UP THE SPILL. ONCE WHEN (DUE TO MY ERROR) THE OIL WENT DRY AND MY HOUSE WAS FREEZING, THEY SHOWED UP ALMOST IMMEDIATELY TO FILL THE TANK. THEY HAVE ALSO SHOWED UP AND BAILED ME OUT ON SHORT NOTICE FOR PLUMBING PROBLEMS. I BELIEVE THEIR OIL CUSTOMERS GET PRIORITY FOR EMERGENCY PLUMBING NEEDS.

I HAD ASSESSMENTS OF THE SYSTEM AND ESTIMATES BY SEVERAL COMPANIES. HOHMANN WAS VERY THOROUGH WHEN THEY DID THE ESTIMATE AND HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS.

FAMILY BUSINESS WELL ESTABLISHED IN THE DORCHESTER AREA. THEY ALSO INSTALL HEATING SYSTEMS AND ARE A FUEL OIL DEALER. COMPARED TO OTHER PLUMBERS I HAVE DEALT WITH, HOHMANN CO. HAS FAIR PRICES AND EXCELLENT SERVICE.
