His attention to detail is about the best I have ever seen. He can finish trim and install windows in difficult situations and no square corners in a 1920's vintage cottage so that it looks amazing. His paint and drywall repairs are fabulous.

This is where Paul impressed me. Members of my family happened to be at the house, and one of them is an expert in all things construction. Paul and he floated some ideas about how to solve the problem (replacing the original door with a storm door, getting a smaller door and fitting it in), and then it was decided to remove the door entirely and make a wall. Paul didn't skip a beat. He said he could do it and would start immediately. He quoted a price for labor, which in the end was exactly on. This went from a half a day job to a complex multi-day job in a 213 year old house with irregular measurements. This was not easy, but Paul never complained. He was getting second-guessed very frequently, but he always entertained all ideas with a welcoming smile, and taking all comments in stride, occasionally changing course to accommodate. He was the pinnacle of professionalism, and he went well above and beyond in being flexible and being patient. Frankly, I'm not sure I could have done what he did in dealing with multiple opinions. He educated me as we went about the issues related to the job, and easily switched between talking to a naive person to speaking with an expert.
His work was meticulous, and since this job suddenly appeared and was time sensitive (there was a hole in the house), he insisted it needed to get done ASAP. I learned later that he had to balance it with a much larger on-going job, and got the clapboards up before the rain got going two days later. He worked extremely hard, and came at irregular hours to fit in the work; he was here to 8pm on two consecutive days! He is an expert, but as mentioned before, what makes him particularly extraordinary is that he goes out of his way to listen and to be professional. We found him to be a multitalented carpenter as well as an able diplomat. We were lucky to get him.

I called Paul because at the last minute, I learned my cabinets needed to be leveled before the granite could go in. I called Paul and he came the next day and spent several hours making sure everything was perfect.

Paul was excellent! His price was great and the work was completed as promised - no surprise extra costs. Best of all he was easy to work with and I trusted him in my home while I was at work. I would most definitely use him again and would whole heartedly recommend him to anyone.

Paul is a professional, and takes pride in his work, he did all the work himself, and is a great guy, very easy to communicate with and responds promptly. The painting was of high quality, but I wouldn't say it was in-expensive. If you want high quality, you will have to pay more for it.
Installing the microwave was a really tricky space and angle, and he took care of that quite well. He installed laminate flooring in two small rooms. He did a good job with this, he ran into a few problems, and I was surprised he hadn't ran into those problems before, so it slowed him down a bit which ended up costing us more than quoted. However, the floors do look great.
Paul really excels on any of the woodworking. You can tell he's highly skilled and passionate in that area. His custom designed L shaped bench came out fantastic. He also painted it really well with several coats, it's super sturdy, and matches the design and feel we were going for when we and quot;drew it outand quot;. The bench also I felt was a great value considering the final work.

He started with finishing the drywall in the basement and then framed two rooms for us with doors. Then he painted the entire basement as well as hallway and one bedroom upstairs.

It went very well overall. Paul is professional, honest and hard working. He came and gave a reasonable estimate in July and began to work on our house in early September and worked for about 2 monthes. The final cost was more than the original estimate, which was at first hard for me to understand. But he convinced me that there were many hidden rotten woods that need to be replaced or fiixed before he can stain the house, and I believe his pricing was fair and resonable.
I am also happy that he used cedar clapboards and stain for the repairing and the painting, as both were used originally in the house, unlike the other company guy who told me without checking carefully that our siding clapboards were pine and that paint, rather than stain, should be used. Our house looks so much nicer after the work is done, and I really appreciate the fact that stain was used so we can still see the cedar wood texture.
Both Paul and his helper, Alex, worked very hard and professionally on our house, and cleaned up afterwords. Paul was also very courteous, patient, and willing to help out with many other problems that I encountered in the house keeping as a new, first time home owner, from moving a piano to showing me how to use some basic tools that I had never used before.

The owner Paul, called and arrived at our home within a week of our emailing him with our request. During the job estimate and discussion, he had no reservations about completing the job. His mother's house was of the same design, so he was well acquainted with the structure. During the discussion about the attic door, my husband asked how difficult it might be to install a whole house fan (which was too large to squeeze into the crawl space we had for attic access) after the attic door was installed. Paul welcomed the request and agreed to install the fan in addition to the attic door. The day Paul came to build the framing and create the access point for the attic door, it was a record heat day. despite the discomfort, he stayed with the job and completed it without a hitch. He returned the following day with his nephew to help create the access point and install the fan. Both installations were completed in two days. Paul and his assistant were very conscientious of the noise created from cutting wood and sawing through the ceiling. They kept the noise to a minimum and let us know (our home office is at the end of the hall) when we needed to close the door. They kept us appraised of their progress and asked if we had any preferences when customizing various aspects of installation. The entire job was professionally completed, right down to the framing and moulding of the attic door and the louvres for the fan. Paul did not have an electrician he could bring to the premises to re-route some of the electrical wiring in the attic in order to accommodate the door and fan installation. He worked carefully around the wires to ensure nothing was disconnected or damaged. Construction debris was kept to a minimum and he made sure the attic insulation was swept up and not tracked through the house. Excellent Job!!! We will definitely recontact him for any future projects and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Went very well. We LOVE how the walk in closet turned out. Beautfil custom made cabinets, hardwood floor, wood trims and moldings, and well installed adjustable Rubbermaid shelving grid system. In our 50's house, this was an unusual and tough space to work in. But careful attention thru all the construction steps resulted in a closet that looks like it's always been there and provides wonderful functionality. Our kitchen patnry was another oddball job that turned a tiny broom closet ito a highly functional kitchen pantry with roll out drawers. Approach was thoughtful and allowed for discusison along the way to modify and improve things so end result was even more storage, and more flexibilty for re-arranging shelving components than we had hoped for. A non-closing shower door and jamming bedroom door were also quickly repaired in between these 2 other projects. When next project or repair project pops up, we know who to call!

He's a household kind of a painter. I loved everything about him. He was detailed and very good. I asked him to use a different kind of paint but he used something else. It still looks fine though but it wasn't exactly what I had asked for. Other than that, he did a great job. Everyone liked the deal but I think he tends to be a little expensive. I will use him again in the future.

We have remodeled three homes so far -- including major changes to rooms and walls, new bathrooms, kitchens, floors, fine cabinet work, etc. Finding good contractors is critical and challenging. Many, unfortunately, do not arrive on time, juggle too many projects and delay completion of yours, run costs up, don't call back, do not have enough experience, etc.

Paul has been consistently reliable and professional -- delivering high quality, on budget, every time. Can't ask for more than that!

They were awesome. They were very professional. They gave me an estimate first. They did a good job, and they stayed within the time frame. We had a few issues and we were worried. However, they stayed within the time frame given. They also did a little bit of carpentry work. The owner was great. His brother also did some painting, and he was great too.

Result is just amazing. The space is completely transformed. Workmanship throughout is excellent and we are very pleased. In this 50's house nothing is quite level or straight. So it was important for some things to be carefully scribed or fitted to create a result pleasing to the eye as well as functional. Some of what we wanted was only a vague idea and Paul helped us figure out how to best implement it in a cost effective and reasonable way. Paul is very professional, keeps things clean and tidy while work proceeds. Easy to work with. Project ran longer than we expected so cost was ultimately a bit more than expected. Everyone warned us that remodeling a basement takes more time than you think and it did, but we are very happy with result. We plan to have him return to do additional work on the house upstairs and would recommend him to others as well.

Terrific! Reasonable price for excellent work done on time as estimated. Neat and efficient work style; takes care not to clutter areas with his tools. Cleans up thoroughly at the end of each day. The result was beautiful. Also provided helpful advice on other household projects and completed those as they came up and were agreed to within budget and on time.
