Muirfield Mechanical Services recently installed heat pumps in my single family home. From the initial appointment to the very last installation day, all staff were professional, informative, helpful & respectful of our space. Each day they left the work space clean and exactly the way it was when they got here. The price was right where I expected it to be and they were very transparent with the work that was being done. The office even helped me with the rebate paperwork! I highly recommend this company! You will not go wrong having them install and maintain your heating/cooling system.

Their price was competitive They returned email and phone calls Their installation crew seemed knowledgeable and professional When I was ready to commit to the project, they moved very quickly. The time between my sending a deposit and a finished instillation was eight days, though this is probably quicker than usual. They made a few decisions such as placement of the cables and of the compressor, which were not quite as I expected. This was a relatively minor matter.

The job went very well. Worked with Nate to plan the project and installed by his team Jeff and Mike. Professional and very efficient. Would definitely use Muirfield again.

I had an excellent experience working with Muirfield Mechanical Services regarding installing a central heat pump in my older home and highly recommend them. I was initially in contact with a MassSaves contractor and contacted Muirfield for a second quote after a recommendation from GreenNewton. Nate, the project manager, seemed far more knowledgeable and the quote for installing the Bosch HP was competitive. On the day of my install, the Muirfield Team did excellent work, kept everything tidy inside and out and even spent extra time with me to program the thermostats and explain how the system will work in conjunction with my existing gas boiler. One of the team members (Steve?) came back a few days later to make sure that everything was in good order and even showed me how to clean my mini split filters and changed the overall home filter. Finally, Linda was extremely helpful with getting me set up with a heat loan and also helping to apply for the tax rebate. This was 5 star experience!

Reasonable estimate, professional employees who answer questions, come on time when they say they will come. They really know their stuff. Helped me navigate the Heat Pump rebates. Had a cancellation in their schedule and fit me in before we were scheduled. Would. not hesitate to recommend this local company for HVAC needs.

One of our two A/C units went out on us recently. I called Muirfield Mechanical because I had previously dealt with them 3 years ago when they did a check up on our HVAC systems. We were in emergency mode since the unit cooled the upper floor of our house, and the temperatures were in the 80's and 90's. They went out of their way to get us a new unit installed as soon as possible and did a great job. All of the staff I dealt with were courteous, patient and helpful. The installers were professional - polite, knowledgeable, and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend them!

Everything went very well. Courteous and knowledgeable installers, great clean up and a very neat install both inside and out. System has been working very well even on the hottest days. We have been surprised about how quiet the interior units are, you can hardly hear them even when they are on full blast. We will have them install additional unit in the spring.

Muirfield offered the best quote among the firms that provided estimates, and I found them highly responsive and professional. The install was completed quickly and neatly, and the team was courteous. I'd hire them again, and I've already referred them to a good friend. Five stars!

As an architect I have worked with many contractors in the past, and found Muirfield to be professional and creative with their design, reasonable in cost, and punctual for scheduling. The installation crew was very responsive and collaborative in working out some field details, including adjustments where visual appearance was important. They finished early and everything works great, definitely a pleasure to work with them.

A great experience from start to finish. Muirfield Mechanical did a great job installing a gas furnace for us during a no heat situation in March. Our current HVAC company diagnosed the problem Monday morning in our 19 year old system and the part replacement was so expensive it made sense to look at replacing the whole system. The cost for the replacement was very high and I then called several competitors including Muirfield for estimates. Linda in the office was very helpful and Nate came out within 2 hours to give us an estimate. We were not current customers, yet he went out of his way to meet with us quickly. He said we did not have to replace the entire HVAC system and he suggested we replace the gas furnace only since the air conditioning coil and condenser were still working fine. This was welcome news since our current HVAC company did not tell us that. We made the decision to go with Muirfield Mechanical Tuesday morning. Nate ordered the furnace and his install crew headed by Dan showed up first thing Wednesday morning. They completed the job in the early afternoon and we had heat again! The installers were very courteous and professional and they left the house cleaner than they found it. Linda filed for the warranty for the furnace and thermostat that Friday, and she applied for our furnace rebate from Mass Save on Monday. Not having to worry about any of that paperwork was a bonus. We are going to move our PM contract over to Muirfield going forward and will use them in the future for any of our heating and air conditioning needs. We highly recommend them!

Muirfield Mechanical did an excellent installation job of our complex home heating system, including replacing an AC unit with a heat-pump to provide cooling and heat to our hot air system, a mini-split system to replace a existing gas boiler, and a backup instantaneous hot water system for our solar hot water system. Their crew was courteous and effective doing most of the work the dead of winter. From initial estimate to completion took a month, which included trouble shooting unexpected issues. Their online invoice/billing and communication system works well. Supervisors are accessible and responsive.

Muirfield installed a heat pump with two mini splits for us. We were especially thankful for how they set expectations appropriately for what they were going to explained what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. While soliciting bids for the project, the tech opined on what to consider for future plans based on other projects they have done and how to meet those objectives. It was a positive experience and I plan to reach out to them for other future work.

When my 70gallon hot water tank was leaking during thanksgiving holidays, I called few local plumbers for a quotation to replace with new tankless water heater. Muirfield (Jeff of Sales) gave me the quotation which is very reasonable comparing to others. After finalizing them with 50% deposit, they started the job within 2 days. Matthew came and completed the entire installation professionally from start to finish (including wearing masks in the house) and did a great job. After the job was completed, the team of 4 came next day after a big storm and removed the old 70gallon hot water tank in 30 minutes. Amazing team. Finally, Lisa at office applied Mass rebate on behalf of me. Total Complete solution and I wouldn't hesitate to use Muirfield again!!

I utilized the Mass Save energy assessment services to start the process for a new furnace (I had a Weathermatic from 1968) and new AC to replace a failing system. Muirfield was recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be happier. They came quickly to assess my current equipment and give me a quote. They were helpful in answering all my questions as I applied for the HEAT loan through Mass Save. They were able to schedule my install very quickly. The installers were prompt and efficient and friendly. I felt safe and comfortable with them in my home. After the install, they have been helpful with submitting rebates and following up with the best way to maintain my new equipment.

I had three Mitsubishi units installed as part of my town's Heat Smart initiative. Their representative's first visit to the house was informative and professional. I had a little problem with responsiveness (i.e., waiting too long for replies to my emails) after I had initiated the process, but the installation team was very professional. They did a great job cleaning up! Their offices also handled all my rebate paperwork. I am very happy with my system!
