The tree removal went great. Got a quote to get a tree removed during the summer of 2016 but decided not to have the work done at the time. Made the decision to have the tree removed early 2017 during the winter since many trees had fallen in my neighborhood due to winter storms. Stumpy's arrived an hour early to set up all of their heavy equipment and started taking down the tree in sections. I think the entire neighborhood came out to see them crane this massive trees over my house. They did a great job taking the tree down, coordinated with the local police to get the street blocked off, and cleaning everything up when they left. They put down plywood in the driveway where there was equipment being used so they would not damage the driveway. A+ all around.

This was a large project with many large trees being taken down and trimmed up. The crew came right on time with their crane and other trucks. They were exceptionally professional and were quite willing to engage with me on my questions that I had and with suggestions they thought I should consider. They protected the lawn from the heavy equipment running back and forth. They cleaned up everything such that it doesn't look like anything took place. Overall, I couldn't really ask for better service and would definitely use them again if needed.

Like a lumberjack ballet, they are the best out there in my opinion.

Stumpy's team did a great job. I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently they worked. I was also very impressed by the final result of the stump grinding, leaving behind nearly no evidence that a tree was ever there. Lead time was a little long. (Overall, it ended up taking about 3 months from when I first contacted them to when they were finally able to come out to do the work.) That said, this is surely due to the high demand. Very satisfied. Would definitely use again if needed.

Performed work well and cleaned up well afterwards. We were on a "call and go" list, which meant they could come sooner if they were in the area and could get the job in. Appreciated them coming to do the work before a scheduled snow storm the next day, only minor issue is that they did not call us before they arrived.

I called 5 companies. One did not return my call. Another one was too busy. Another promised to come, but never showed up. Two companies submitted their estimates. Stumpy's was very reasonable. All services were performed as expected. The amazing part was their clean-up!

The 5 man team from Stumpies did a fabulous job. They are highly skilled and had complete mastery of what was a very complex job including trees in both the front and back yard. They demonstrated incredible precision in removing the back yard trees as they had to boom the crane over the house to pick them up. Nothing short of incredible.

They were amazing, they were daring, they climbed up like fifty sixty feet, they used huge pieces of equipment it was great drama and everybody watched in the neighborhood. They were good. I have recommended to friends.

They were here on time, with great equipment, and professional. Cleaned up afterward. Cut some branches not identified in the contract.

We want to recommend Stumpy's for tree removal. We had two trees both close to our house. One of the trees was a huge Master Pine Tree. Stump's tree crew was highly professional and very efficient. Taking down these trees was important because they were close to the house and we wanted to have these down before winter. We checked three different tree service companies and Stumpy's was the best deal. Not only did they give us the best price but their work was A1. They cleaned up and took away all the tree debris and no tree parts or branches hit our house. Since the trees were so close this was a big deal and they got it right. We enthusiastically endorse Stumpy's for large and small jobs alike.

Mark, who provided the estimate, arrived on time and was very professional. Jay and the crew who did the work arrived on time, discussed the job, cleaned up afterward. When I expressed concern about the stability of one tree, even with the weight to be removed, Jay suggested installing a cable and offered a reasonable price.

Getting a quote and locking down a date took a while due to the busy summer time of year and it seems the office is rarely staffed. However, when it came time to actually removing the trees they did fantastic work. They showed up exactly on time, worked efficiently with hardly any break, and left the logs that I wanted where I asked. The guys were all polite and hard workers and they banged out the large job in about 6 hours. This was the second time I've used them and I would use them again but maybe in the winter instead for easier scheduling.

Excellent experience. One of the trees was on top of my house and they removed the tree without doing any damage to the house and the tree was almost bigger than the house itself so it was an impressive feat.

They arrived at exactly the time they said they would. Their performance was excellent and took a crew of four a total of 4 hours. They placed plywood to protect the lawn, removed all of the trees and branches they said they would, then cleaned up the branches, leaves, and sticks that were scattered about the work area.

After numerous attempts by phone & email, I could not get someone to come and give me an estimate. A staff member emailed they were always on the phone and did not follow up with me regarding an appointment date that worked. As a final note, she addressed me with the wrong name.

We are having trouble with them. We have a whole row of Aphrodite across the backyard and after the work was done, it is not straight. It is not level and they refuse to come back and fix it. I would tell friends and family members not to use them.

They responded very quickly with an estimate and then were able to work my small job in within a few days because of a cancellation. The prompt service was a real boon because I was having other yard work done and wanted the trees out before that work started. The crew was pleasant and professional. They cleaned everything up before leaving. I could not be happier.

timely response to initial request. provided reasonable estimate. came on appointed day (...raining quite heavily) and did thorough and professional job.

The first visit was very professional and friendly. The gentleman, who was also the project's site manager, who came out didn't try and sell me on stuff he didn't think needed to be done to make my home safe and giving me a very good price for the work, and gave me a written estimate with a map of what would be done. He also explained to me when I asked about limbs overhanging my neighbor's house that if I did take the limb down it might de-stabilize the tree (something another tree company also agreed with), didn't need to come down as it looked healthy, and with this, due to state law, if it came down on my neighbor's house/ yard I would not be held responsible. When they came out they did good work with little, if any signs, that they were there other than the work being done (with much of it being done in my yard where it was harder to clean up). My 2 complaints were these: - After calling to agree to do the work, the rep told me they would schedule the work once they got 50% payment. This was a Wed. I got a call the next day from them stating they had a cancellation tomorrow and could see me, and to call them back if I wanted the appointment. I never did since I couldn't be there (would be at work) for the appointment to see what was being done, as they suggested, In addition, couldn't get them the 50% in time. The next morning at 8am I looked at my cell phone to find 2 messages from the team manager saying he was at my house to do the work and where was I? I explained the situation to him and he agreed to do the work without the 50% payment because of the mix up; but understandably couldn't wait until I got out of work that day to review the work, and to call with any concerns. - After the site manager left the site to leave his crew to do the work, one of his workers told my neighbor (the one I had previously asked the site manager about the issues with the overhanging limb) that they weren't removing the limb; but the whole tree really needed to come down, contrary to what his manager said (I think he was trying to make another sale). Since I went from booking the work to having them do it, I hadn't even been able to tell my neighbor we weren't removing it. This greatly upset my neighbor and I had to smooth things out. And partially, because of his assessment, I paid for 1/2 the removal of the tree 4 months later by a different company to keep peace with my neighbor. After the visit I did call with questions and the site manager came out as prompt as he could to answer them in person. Overall I do recommend them; but just ask them to better with scheduling and have the crew just do their great work and not try and make other sales at the time of the work. Leave that to the good site manager.

We decided to go ahead with our work and forget the extra firewood for our neighbor. We were called a few days later at 3:10pm, by voicemail to request work to be done at 8AM the next morning. We have a long thin very steep driveway. I told them, we could do any time other than 8-9:30 due to our work schedules. They informed me I could park my cars at the end of our driveway and walk up and down. I had just recovered from 3 days of fever, and had to take a 2 year old and 3 bags up and down the driveway twice in one January morning in order to accommodate their schedule, and asked if they could do it ANY other time or day. I was told there was no time foreseeable in weeks they would be available and they would not be able to accommodate even a 30 minute lag in their schedule! (For $600 of work!) Mr. Barbour's attitude to my requests was completely unsympathetic. As if he was not concerned at all about our business or needs. I called back and cancelled the work shortly after.
