Description of Work: They came on very short notice on a Friday evening to install a dishwasher. I had pulled out the old one but needed professional help to install the new one. As it turned out, there were other plumbing issues under the sink so the job got more complicated. Still they were able to finish the job efficiently. Very professional; did a great job. More impressive...we had a small leak under the sink which we noticed a few weeks later. We were sure it was a drain (PVC) issue leaking. We called Lancer to come check it out. They determined it was not the drain but the water sprayer nozzle above the sink that needed replacing. This is a fairly easy repair that escaped my eyes. They told us how to fix it and DID NOT CHARGE us for the second visit. I highly recommend using Lancer Plumbing!

LANCER CONTRACTING TAKES CUSTOMER SATISFACTION VERY SERIOUSLY. WE WILL DO ALMOST ANYTHING TO COMPLETE A JOB TO THE CLIENT'S SATISFACTION. NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAT MAKING THE CUSTOMER HAPPY. THIS JOB WAS COMPLETED IN THE YEAR 2000 SO WERE ARE A BIT PERPLEXED TO HEAR OF THE CONTENT OF THE REPORT AFTER NO COMMUNICATION FROM THE CUSTOMER FOR APPROXIMATELY SIX YEARS. OUR COMPANY PROVIDES LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR WORKMANSHIP BUT WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY INQUIRES TO COME BACK FOR ANY WARRANTY RELATED WORK. AFTER COMPLETING HUNDREDS OF BEAUTIFUL BATHROOMS AND KITCHENS, WE DO GET CALLS FROM TIME TO TIME FOR WARRANTY RELATED WORK. WE GET IT DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER AND WE DO IT WITH A SMILE. THE SIMPLE FACT IS THAT THIS WAS A VERY UNPLEASANT PROJECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF LANCER. THESE PARTICULAR CLIENTS WERE ELITISTS THAT TREATED OUR WORKERS POORLY. THEY WERE CONDESCENDING AND DISRESPECTFUL. THEY EXPECTED EXTRA WORK DONE FOR FREE, MADE UNREASONABLE DEMANDS, CONSTANTLY COMPLAINED AND WERE EXTREMELY UNREASONABLE. ONE EXAMPLE: AFTER THEY ASKED OUR CARPET INSTALLER TO DO SOME EXTRA WORK THEY REFUSED TO PAY HIM EVEN THOUGH HE DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY ASKED. THEY YELLED AT HIM AND REFUSED TO PAY HIM. WHAT WE FEEL SETS US APART FROM MOST OTHER CONTRACTORS IS HOW NICE ARE PEOPLE ARE. WE HAVE MANY UNSOLICITED NOTES AND LETTERS FROM CUSTOMERS WHO SPECIFICALLY REFER TO HOW NICE EVERYONE FROM LANCER IS.

Peter, from Lancer, has done the heating/plumbing on my house for years. He was able to give me a fast estimate which was below the other one I received, and for a more efficient boiler. The work was scheduled quickly, done efficiently, and my basement left cleaner than before. We had a problem a few days later and he came over on his lunch hour to fix it. Julie, in the office, is friendly and helpful and has usually been able to schedule work within a few days. I have always had a good experience with this company.
Description of Work: Installed new energy efficient gas boiler, removed old boiler.

THEY REMODELED TWO BATHROOMS. VERY GOOD JOB, PLEASANT PEOPLE. VERY CLEAN AND EFFICIENT. THEY ARE HELPFUL, AND WILL DISCUSS ANY PROBLEMS, HAPPY TO DO ANY LITTLE THINGS. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

CLEAN, NEAT, EFFICIENT & PROMPT. FINISHED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE. CAME ON SATURDAY TO WITH THE FACING BOARD/DOWNSPOUT TO FINISH THAT JOB IN 24 HRS. FAIRLY EXPENSIVE, BUT CAN'T REALLY COMPARE TO PRICES IN CAMBRIDGE, AS RECENT RESIDENT.
