Universal Plumbing Company Inc

I have a home warranty so it was a contract. They came out and actually determined the problem with my garbage disposal. They replaced it on the spot and I had wonderful service. I would call them again if I have a plumbing problem.

When my master bathroom toilet began overflowing, I turned the water off at the wall and telephoned my landlord who carries a home warranty insurance on the house.  The warranty people had Universal Plumbing telephone me.  I described how my master bath toilet had overflowed and that now, at this point, my guest bathroom was overflowing into the house at an alarming rate and my tub was filling up with sewer water.  They advised me to call the water dept to have the water turned off to the house and told me they had a 24-hr time frame with which to answer an emergency call.  They informed me that my problem was not enough of an emergency to come out immediately.  However, two hours later, a plumber from Universal Plumbing did show up.  I told him the problems (although I had done so on 3 phone calls to the plumbing company by this point) and he informed me he carried absolutely no equipment in his large panel van with which to clear the sewer line.  I then telephoned Unviersal Plumbing and told them to send someone out with equipment and they told me that at this point they would have to pay workers overtime and they would not do so.  The home warranty company then telephoned Universal Plumbing and told them they would pay whatever overtime the plumbing company workers would incur.  Universal Plumbing refused.  The next day, at 9:30a.m., two men showed up without uniforms, name tags, company logos, etc.  They had to borrow tools from my husband so they could access the sewer drain valve to snake out the line.  One of the workers actually entered my house smoking a cigarette!  Completely unprofessional.  Something that took the men 15 minutes to fix could have been done the first day.  I cannot believe a "plumber" would show up to my house stating he carried no equipment.  I have never seen such a shoddy, unprofessional organization as Universal Plumbing and h*** will freeze over before they are allowed to return to my house.

I have had them out here at least a half dozen times and they are always awesome. They are always good, always show up on time and always call before they come. They are always clean and I have no complaints about those guys. It only took them an hour and a half to come out on the Fourth of July. They were only here 30 minutes and did not charge me an exorbitant amount. I have never had to call them back; whatever they have fixed they have fixed it right then; I have had no callbacks. I will use them again in the future.

It was basically under a home warranty so that really didn't cost us anything.  They do the work perhaps because they are doing under warranty.  I can't complain too much about the work but the customer service was probably quite good.

We didn't personally have a choice, it was whatever our home service plan selected for us.  We've used them several times in the past, it was a coincidence that our home service plan called them.

They were very responsive. They have answering service and they called back very promptly when I left a message. We called them two times and both were in the evening, and they called back quickly. They were able to schedule for someone to come and do the work quickly. They were supposed to contact me again for something and they have not contacted me yet. They could have done better on that. I will check around, but I will possibly use them again.

I have used them in the past to install a hot water heater. I called them in the afternoon and they came the very next day, so I like them a lot. They are very good. I can’t say anything except good things about them. They do a good job, are punctual and professional. They were willing to help with anything I needed help. I have a home warranty and I think I paid probably around $110. I paid the regular fee and then I paid a little more so they would come immediately. They listen to whatever problem I have and are willing to come almost immediately. I have used them more than one time. When I am on the home warranty list, some companies don’t care at times if they do a good job for me or not but Universal Plumbing has been awesome. I would use them again in the future.
