ABLE APPLIANCE REPAIR

After trying to get in touch with another service company that I had used previously, but wasn't answering their phone today, I called Able Appliance repair based on their Angie's List reviews. I called after 2pm today and Mr. Eric was out to my house by 3:30pm! I was not expecting such fast response. It was awesome! Very friendly and personable and after running a couple of tests, knew immediately what the issue was with my gas dryer. It was fixed in under a half hour. Will definitely call again!

Great guy. Called me back to let me know what was wrong, educated me on the problem and since there was nothing to fix, he did not even charge me. I am however sending him a check as his time and expertise saved me money. Chris T.

Excellent service. The gentleman called 20 minutes before he arrived. Diagnosed and fixed my gas dryer that wasn't heating. Fuse blown and excess lint in the wheel below. Replaced fuse and removed all excess lint.

I called Able Appliance Repair. He came out the next day. He scheduled the time for after I got off of work. He arrived on time, was friendly and professional. He explained what the problem was with the dryer. He replaced the fuse. He stayed and checked to be sure there were no other problems. When the dryer did not heat properly he found the problem and took care of it. He made suggestions which would help to keep this from happening again. He again checked every thing. He was sure the dryer was working properly before he left.

I found myself working from home on a Friday and called Able Appliance to see if there was any chance he could make it out to the house on the same day to repair a chronic issue with my refrigerator. I described the problem to him over the phone (and he was able to receive a photo I took of the label with the model number information). He said he would make it out that afternoon. He called before he arrived, as he promised he would, and he showed up on time. Based on my description of the problem on the phone, he brought the appropriate replacement parts with him to complete the repair. He was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and dependable. Able Appliance is now in my phone contacts under "appliance repair".

Eric was very professional, made the appt., called ahead to say he was coming,arrived on time, looked over the situation, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Very satisfactory.

Responded promptly. Showed up at scheduled appointments. Diagnosed issue correctly. Brought potential parts with him. Did extra repairs at no additional cost. Absolutely a trustworthy and reliable provider in terms of cost, expertise, professionalism, and punctuality. I'm usually too lazy to post a review, but this gentleman was a stand out.

The repair went great. I called for an appt. and he came the next day. Eric was very professional and helpful. The repair took about an hour. I would definitely use him again in the future.

I called on 12/31/2014 but he was busy and could not come that day. He gave me the name of another repair person who might give me faster service since he was on my side of the river. I told him I had already called that person and he did no answer his phone and that all my food was safe in ice chests. He said okey, he would come 1/2/2015 about 9:00 or 9:30 and he would call about 30 minutes 30 before he would arrive. He called about that time, arrived, and did the job in about an hour. He had a new timer with him. I was very happy. He even answered a bonus question about my microwave oven door latch. He explained what the problem was and how he was repairing it.

However, it didn't feel like it was coming out cold. So he said if it doesn't freeze some water tonight call me up. I'll give you your money back. He even texted me later to see if it was working. I texted him the next morning, and said it wasn't working. He said no charge. Very professional and honest. I even asked to pay for the visit, and again, he said no charge. If it would have worked, 140 was extremely reasonable since its a huge fridge/freezer. He also went to my coworker's house to fix a dryer today. He said the same thing. Honest and very professional. He even told my coworker, now tell Erin not to have that fridge fixed. its not worth it!

This is what you wish all repair people were like. Excellent service ,well prepared, prompt and knowledgeable . He came in and took care of the problem and had the washing machine up and running in no time. Checked the washer machine thoroughly .He is courteous ,professional and most definitely someone I would recommend

Great! Came to the house within a couple of hours after my call and had the machine working within minutes. Truly wonderful, fast, friendly work.

I called Eric to schedule an appointment because I read several good reviews on this company. When I called, Eric answered the phone and scheduled the appointment for the next day and said he would call before he comes out the next day between 10am and 12pm. He quoted me a price of $65 to come out and check my refrigerator and advised that he would let me know after checking the refrigerator if there would be any additional charges. I received a call about 20 minutes to 12pm from Eric that he was about 10 minutes away and would be at my residence. I advised my husband who was outside in the yard at the time that Eric was on the way. After about 15 minutes, my dog started barking and I did notice a white vehicle in front of the house but when I went to the door to see if that was Eric it had left. After waiting about a half and hour, I called Eric to find out if he was having trouble finding my residence but he did not answer so I left a voicemail. I waited an additional hour and called again and was directed to voicemail again where I left another message for him to call me to find out what happened. And I still have not received word from him or any other person with this company. I am very upset because I could have scheduled an appointment with another company to come out instead of wasting an entire day waiting on him while the items in my refrigerator was going bad. I did find another company on Angie's list that came out when they said they would and did an awesome job and were very professional for a fair price. Thank you Eric for providing another company who appreciates customers a loyal customer.

Called and set time for following day which he kept. Diagnosed problem and fixed it. Explained circumstances of age and how ampage was reading that repair could not be guaranteed for a specific amount of time. Appreciated his honesty.

Eric was great! I scheduled him on a Friday and he arrived at 9 AM the next morning. Finally, a repairman that shows up at exactly when he says he will! He was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and affordable. He was also very efficient - he had the issue sussed and resolved within an hour. And, he pointed out a missing piece that I didn't know was missing, and which I had no idea was the cause of the intense rattling sound my washer was making whenever it would run (I thought it was just an old unit!). He immediately called a local supplier and ordered the piece I needed. Throughout the process he gave me several friendly tips and pointers and a general education of Washer/Dryer 101. I will definitely be hiring Eric again any time I have an issue with an appliance. Thanks, Eric!

Eric was prompt, professional and apparently knows a lot about older (8 years) refrigerators. He had to go get a part but returned promptly and fixed the freezer perfectly. As he was leaving (after he was paid) my husband walked in the house and asked him if he had a suggestion on how to fix the door handle that kept falling off the freezer. Eric was very nice and tried several things taking another 15-20 minutes. None of the suggestions worked because the design of the handle is just really poor but Eric took the time to try and didn't expect more money unlike many repair people who charge for every second. Would definitely call Eric again.

professional, efficient and punctual. Eric unclogged an evaporation drain line in the freezer. Will use again. . . and in fact have a new issue with the same refrigerator and will be calling Eric again.

I was in New Orleans only for a couple of days to supervise the move-out/move-in of my tenants. The old tenants (students) did not tell me that the refrigerator had been leaking, so I needed somebody to come and fix it right away before the new tenants moved-in. I called the company I had used before but they said they could not do it on such short notice and suggested I call Able Appliance Repair instead. Eric came that same afternoon and was extremely professional. He took a look at the refrigerator and quickly fixed it remarking that it might have been the tenants fault that a clog had formed causing the leaking. He also gave me an estimate to replace the bottom shelf and drawers that the tenants had broken, suggesting that I should deduct the cost from their security deposit since to replace them it would cost me about $250 (I had thought it would cost me a only a few dollars). When he learned that the house was rented to students he also took a look at the washing machine, dismantled the top and cleaned everything leaving me recommendations to pass a long to the new tenants on what to do and don't do to keep all the appliances working well. He was fast efficient and extremely nice. His price was more than fair and from now on, he'll be the appliance repair guy I'll call if anything goes wrong. I highly recommend him!

My microwave door was not latching or staying shut. I found Eric on Angie's List and called at 11 AM this morning. He originally said no, I don't repair microwaves. When I explained that the door was not staying shut, he said "I know what it is - how is 2PM for you?" At 2PM, Eric was on my doorstep. 20 minutes later, the door was fixed and better than the original condition. Absolutely great guy, great price, great service and I was happy to pay $65 instead of $400 for a new under cabinet/over stovetop microwave.

Eric was great. Was able to come the day of for my first call and the next day for my second call. I have him saved in my phone for the next repair that I might need.

He replaced a part, with the explanation that the other non-working thing might be the compressor. I appreciated the explanations he gave me about what he was doing. Turns out the compressor was bad, so I'll be getting a new fridge (too old to try to fix). His service fee was very reasonable and I appreciated his advise.

Eric was so nice and efficient. I was impressed with his extensive knowledge of the 1970s fridge. I recommend Eric to anyone needing appliance repair. Thx Eric!!!

I recently ordered a gas range from a national home improvement store. They provded for free take-away of the old range, However, they wanted to charge an arm and a leg for installing the new range, plus they refuse to disconnect the old one. At the same time, my dishwasher stopped draining.Since they were scheduled to deliver it on Tuesday, I found Able on this site, and asked Eric to come on Monday and disconnect the old one and see what he could do with my old dishwasher. He came out on Monday, had the range disconnected in no time and then spent a bit of time underneath the dishwasher and got it working again. He then gave me some tips to maximize my dishwasher's performance. At that time, I asked him to come back on Wednesday and install the new range. He arrived on time on Wednesday and got my range installed in no time. He adjusted the feet to get it level (old houses, you know), bled the line and turned the oven on to burn off the bad smell new ovens have. He then checked to make sure everything was still fine with the dishwasher. I've definitely found my Maytag repair guy, lol. .

He was very nice and the cost was what I expected. He was polite and did seem knowledgeable. He was on time and came out the next day after we contacted him. He did a good job.

He is very reasonable I used him all the time and very quick.
