We had a salesman come out to the house to perform an estimate on replacing 10 windows. The windows were of good quality but the salesman was pushy. The estimate received was $6000 and when I told him that I would need to talk this over with my wife he was not very receptive of this idea and I felt belittled. He did call the house to perform a follow up and when we told him we weren't interested he took that answer without bothering us anymore.

They were on schedule: very thorough and cleaned up as they proceeded with the job. We have used them before and would recommend them, happily!

We were visited by three different parties. First was the salesman, who recommended to us certain windows, and after my research they appear to be the right windows for our home. Second was the person who measured the windows, which he did from the outside, so no one had to be home, but we happened to be home when he came. LAS then took these measurements and created the windows themselves, instead of ordering the windows from some third party in another state. I like this about LAS, and they claim to stand behind their product. Third, a two man crew came out and removed the old windows and installed the new ones. It took them about four hours. This can be traumatic, as you see these people tear into your home, but in the end it was a vast improvement on both the inside and outside of the windows. Their window product appears to be very good. We are enjoying these new windows. These windows have warranties, LAS is local, and they told us to call them if we have any problems now or in the future. I am not very knowledgeable or comfortable when it comes to construction, but LAS made this a low stress experience.

Salesman was punctual, polite thorough and attentive.
Installation of windows was timely and professional, although somewhat messy in places.
Installation of patio cover was a nightmare. Although the installation was noted as and quot;priorityand quot; by the salesman and the gentleman who came out to verify the measurements, it took about 2 and a half months to finalize the installation. First, we were promised on several occasions that the installation would be in a few days. Later we were told that the materials were not even delivered yet and finally got an installation date. Unfortunately, the middle panel on the patio cover was ordered by LAS WITHOUT the fan rail built in as we had ordered. We did not see this until the patio cover was installed. The installer said that he made a mistake in ordering the panel but could and quot;fix itand quot; with an exterior rail. This was unacceptable to us and the middle section had to be re-ordered.
The patio cover was installed professionally (both times) and installers were very pleasant about having to repeat the installation.

We like the windows, but they weren't the best. When they took the old one they broke it and left glass around. They were kind of not very tidy on the outside, I found a few cigarette butts and I actually stepped on a piece of glass in the middle of the house not even close to the window. They made a couple of mistakes on the screens, they had made two of them too small and they rattled when the wind blew. So, they have to come back and do that and there was another problem with the big window in the front, there was some stripping that they had put on that came off. They fixed everything to our satisfaction, but of course they have to comeback three or four times to get it right. It just seems everybody we hire these days they have got to comeback and fix something that they didn't do right the first time. The material is nice, but I had problems with the installation. It was a reasonable price. Everything so far is fine.

We found the price to be much better than other quality windows, and the sales person, Garrett Wibel, was very friendly and worked with us on the price. The installers did an excellent job, and after more than one year we still love the new windows.
The windows come with a lifetime warranty, but we have not had need to use this yet.

The sales person was very friendly, informed and professional. He brought a sample and explained the benefits of the windows as well as the holes in the competitors pitches. The windows from LAS were higher quality and more energy efficient. the next individual I spoke with at LAS regarding the measurements was also professional and extremely friendly and they were done ahead of the proposed date so there would not be any delay in the order. the windows arrived a week ahead of schedule and I was able to get installation very promptly. The installation process was smooth- super fast, clean and they look fantastic.

AMAZING! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for windows, shutters, and doors. Especially if you want custom manufactured products. I had 2 other window companies come out to give quotes. I did not like they were and quot;standardand quot; sizes and manufactured up north. I did not understand what would fill the gap between the wall and window.. .caulk? foam? If I had a problem, I would have to contact manufacturer, which was no where near where I live. I knew the quality and service would be outstanding since after Katrina I had shutters and 2 doors from LAS. The shutters have been great during hurricane seasons. I just shut them and leave and know everything is safe. I felt completely at ease during Isaac. Very proud and happy to have a LOCAL company with such outsanding products and services.

There was nothing we did not like; from the moment the salesperson came out he was very professional. They got the windows and did not have any problems. We ordered a door that had glass tinting but it came in without the tinting. They offered to take it back or give us a discount. We took the $700 discount. Everything has been great; we have had the windows for a year and the utility bills have gone down like they said they would. We have not had any issues at all.

They worked quite late to finish on the day they came - there were only 2 guys, so they worked pretty hard. There was a problem with one of the window air conditioners fitting, due to a measurement error, but one of the workers came back on Saturday to help my husband fit that one properly. The price seemed a little high, but the windows are very good quality and overall we are happy.

The LAS salesman was punctual and brought a sample window with him. He demonstrated how then windows would work and the features and took measurements of my windows to give me an estimate. Then he calculated an estimate telling me the retail value of the windows were approx. 16k but they had a 50% off special that was just ending and the windows would cost me 8K. He asked if I had gotten an estimate from someone else already and I admitted that I had. He wanted to know how his estimate compared and I mentioned that compared to the one I had gotten already that his was a little high. He wanted to know who I had gotten my estimate from. I didn't give the vendor's name but he assumed the estimate came from Window World. Then he showed me a checklist similar to the one that I had probably gotten if I had used Window World for my estimate then further explained the kind of sales pitch they'd used with me saying that they'd conveniently forget to checkoff all necessary items to give a low estimate then raise the price later saying that they'd made a mistake by not checking off all required items for the estimate. He then proceeded to explain how superior in quality the LAS windows were to Window World and mention that LAS windows are manufactured in LA. I wanted time to this about the estimate, the but was told if I wanted to get the 50% price I had have to let him know that day if I would purchase the windows. I did not like the pressure tactic, but told him I would call later with my decision. After careful consideration I called the LAS salesman and told him I had decided not purchase their windows. I did not feel comfortable that I was getting a good price for the product and I did not like the bashing of another vendor and its product.

They broke out the old windows from outside in, so all the broken glasses were in our house. The windows and the doors that we got from them are fine; but it took us a month to get the glasses out of the carpet. We have pets. We have never heard of anything so ridiculous in our life. The glasses were onto our beds, and onto our carpets. They did for all the windows. They do that on purpose and it was not an accident. This is the way they break it. We love the windows; but the way they went about it, we wouldn't have had them do it. They were competitive with the other people. They did put some sheets while breaking the glass, but it didn't do any good.

They had the best sales presentation. We had looked at two other places and their windows seemed to be of the best construction for the price. They had the best price. The one thing they did that went above and beyond is that, our windows are not typical windows and when they took the old windows out, they actually had to cut away some of the structure because the old ones were very strange old windows with transoms and all sorts of extra woodwork. It wasn't a typical case where they just take the old windows out and put the new ones in, and they didn't charge anything extra for that. The one thing that they could have done better was to ensure that the windows stayed up at the top. One of the windows tends to slip unless you really push it up, but it still is an improvement over the old windows. I would call them if I had to replace any other windows.

Called company for an estimate re hurricane shutters. We were given a grant to have them installed. The man we spoke to refused to come out to the house for an estimate telling us to call back "when we had the money" (we didn't actually have to wait for the grant to come in to install the shutters, we had the money to pay for them, but he didn't bother with that). Such rudeness in a service organization is appalling.

On 5.5.2011 I had someone from LAS come out to give me a quote. He seemed less interested in actually quoting me and more interested in showing me the videos of the installations on his iPad. It was especially odd that the gentleman was clearly surveying my home's interior as if to determine how much I could afford to pay. My wife and I were both uncomfortable with how he kept looking around and commenting on things like furniture and cabinets. Eventually, the salesman went back to his vehicle for about 10 minutes, and returned with a quote. I thanked him and let him know that I'd be in touch after discussing things with my wife. He left again and came back, knocking almost $1,000 off his initial price with some explanation that the company has met the month's quota so he was able to offer me this lower price. Since the number he came back within my budget, I accepted. Please note that LAS has you do the following.
- Pay 50% up front
- Sign a notice of cancellation, (allowing you no more than 3 days to cancel the 'contract')

I was told that it would take about a month for the installation to take place, as they had to fabricate the shutters. This was more than acceptable as I had other work going on at the time that needed to take place before the installation. However it wasn't until 2 months later that I finally received a call that my shutters were ready for installation.

The quality of the product is satisfactory, but they failed to install one shutter. They mounted part of the hardware, but not the shutter itself. I just figured that there was a mistake and they would fix it and come back out to complete the work.

After 3 weeks of hearing nothing, I decided to call. I left multiple messages with the receptionist as well as voice mails on some of the scheduling people's phones. None of my calls were returned. When I finally asked to speak to someone in management. I was told that my '..shutters are being built now, and they will be painted next week, since they rotate colors.' I didn't even bother to clarify that it was one shutter that remained, obviously I was being given the generic excuse.

It took another couple of weeks before I got a phone call (early in the week) saying they they'd like to come out and complete the installation. I told LAS to come out at any time. Friday I got the same call and again, I told them 'any time'. Finally they managed to get there and complete that last shutter. The installation was finally completed on 8.5.2011

I made a point of notifying LAS that I was leaving town the day after the installation, so that I'd have to pay them the balance when I returned the week after next. Again, it seems that this company doesn't really pay much attention. I got a phone call in the middle of my vacation looking for payment. What's worse, he wanted to know when he could 'expect to receive the balance'.

That was what did it for me. I informed this individual not even a week earlier that I was to be out of town, and the same person calls me looking to 'shake me down' for his payment. I certainly wasn't going to pay the day the installation took place, at least not until I had time to inspect it. (I don't get home until 5 some times) so LAS was simply going to have to wait for the balance for an extra week. Never mind that I had to wait 3 months for my shutters.

I would not recommend LAS to anyone. I've already said as much to a couple family members and they've gone to other companies. There is nothing competitive with their pricing, their product is the same as anyone else's, and the level of attention and the quality of service that they seem to offer is short of insulting.

I like my shutters, I regret having LAS install them.

We were pleased, they did a good job and took a long time with the measuring. The door looks great. We did have an issue with them ordering one without the colors but they refunded us like $384 for it so they settled it. We were happy, we were pleased.

We looked at Hurricane Shutter quotes from 3 different companies. LAS came out and did a presentation; the salesman seemd knowledgable and brought samples of shutters. We were very impressed with the presentationa dn decided to go with LAS. He gave us a quote, but after somoe haggling, he came down in his price. The shutters took about 10 weeks to be made before we recieved them. During this time, we wanted to know if it would be possible to put up trim around our windows before the shutter were installed. I called the salsman, and he never returned my call. So we never got to put up the trim. I was pretty angry that my phone call was not returned. Finally came the day for the shutters to be installed. We were very happy with the Bahama shutters, but we got Board and Batton-style shutters for the front of our house, and they are not that attractive. They are very big and bulky, and require a metal bar to be put on the front when you want to close them. Not very attractive, and it's kind of a pain to put this bar on. After they were installed, they had to come back and tighten some things- they would not stay open properly. We also got black shutters and are ALREADY noticing some paint chipping after 4 weeks. I know I could pray-paint it, but am disappointed that I have to even THINK I have to do that. We have yet to recieve our warranty papers- I will have to call about that soon... I would look elsewhere. $6000 is a lot to spend, and I was not happy with the customer servie, or the final product!
