Bayou Pools

Called Bayou Pool and Alex came out right away. I needed my in ground pool resurfaced . Gave me a great price and came out with excellent workers. He was onsite to prep pool and do resurfacing. Awesome job done on a 20 year old 11foot deep pool!

Work done quickly and efficiently/great job overall

Selected Bayou Pools, owned by Alex Schmidt, because of his timely response to my Home Advisor request and his professionalism during the initial meeting to discuss the scope of work for resurfacing and coping repair. Downhill from there. Workers came late in the morning, left early, never finished the most current project, and were rude. They did not want to answer questions nor be bothered by the paying customer. Alex was seldom on the job to provide control and direction. Alex missed all of our scheduled meetings (except the ones for the next payment) to discuss the progress of the job and any input I had. Projected time for completion was 1 to 2 weeks. Six weeks later (and no bad weather) renovation still not finished. I fired him. Work that was completed was not of good quality. Today, one of the new lights fell out and the new drain covers came off because there was only 1 screw. During the renovation, drain covers were removed but drains not sealed. As a result, a lot of plaster and debris continues to come loose. Plaster surface "good" in pool but "terrible" in spa. Alex has no knowledge about the technology of the equipment not programming of the remote. He is a good guy but his project management and supervision is weak. I could go on and on but bottom line, do not use Bayou Pools.

I had a crack in the side wall of my pool. I called several pool repair people & Bayou Pool came out within 2 days to give me an estimate, which was very reasonable. They fixed the crack 2 days later & all is good.

I hired him to resurface pool and they did a bad job. He was supposed to return and fix the bad job and he didn't come back and made appointments and didn't show. He was supposed to come back and fix what his guys did and he finally came back to fix the leak that he said was there before and today it still leaks and we had to pay for them to come back to do this fix. Now I have to hire another company to fix what they did. I would never recommend this company.

Alex is a nice guy, and for small jobs he is probably fantastic, but we are now in our 8th week of what was supposed to be a 2 week renovation job. Several of the items that have been "completed" need to be redone or repaired. Some of the guys have been coming over for just very brief periods instead of just getting the job done. HE may have a case where he is just getting spread too thin to do quality work.

I had a leak in my in ground pool. Due to it's age (circa 1963) detecting the leak was a bit of a problem. Alex referred me to C&C leak detection. Once the source was determined to be the lower return line. Alex returned dug out a 1 foot square approximately 3 feet deep to replace both the upper and lower lines. He also suggested an acid wash at a very reasonable price! My pool looks new again!

Alex is very knowlegeable. He detected a leak in our inground pool and repaired the leak saving us the cost of having to hire a leak detection company. We would highly recommend him . He came when he said he would and repaired the leak quickly.
