A Noble Sweep Chimney Services

My roofer informed me that something appeared loose on my chimney cap.  I contacted a local gas fireplace installer for recommendations to get the repair done.  I was given a list of chimney sweeps to call.  One of the sweeps I contacted never returned my call (in fairness, it is peak season for this type of contractor).   I contacted Mr. Norman last week to schedule an appointment for a repair estimate.  He answered his phone when I called, took my information and informed me of his inspection fee and scheduled the appointment for the following week.  He and his son arrived on time.  He inspected the chimney and was able to make adjustments and re-seat the cap to fix the problem.  He replaced the silicone seal on the chimney stack.  He came inside and inspected the fire box and the gas logs.  He gave me instructions on when and how to replace the vermiculite, embers, and rock.  I was given an invoice with details of the work performed and recommendations and comments on the inspection.  I felt his charges were very reasonable, he was straightforward in communication, and very honest in performing what needed to be done without up-selling services.
