The manager would not work with us on our purchase.  He would not take it back. He only offered a store credit.  He was very rude to us. I had to go buy a king size matress because I had to have a place to sleep.  After speaking to our attourney, the owner offered to give us 2 queen size beds but he would keep the difference in cost which would favor of the matress store.  The attorney feels that this is not fair.

I went to Mattress Direct because a friend recommended them based on location and good quality mattresses. However the choices they had were either good quality that were priced higher than competitors or cheaper knockoffs that were in my price range, but obviously wouldn't last long. The mattress that I considered had a 5 year warranty whereas I went elsewhere to get a 10 year full warranty. Even though the delivery is free, you will pay for it by the slightly higher prices of the mattresses and the mattress protector (which is required if you want your warranty to remain in effect). In terms of the service, the salesman was professional but had tactics that are not successful for a consumer like myself (I don't like pandering.) As I tested the mattresses and after interrupting me when trying to explain my preferences and concerns, he decided to "educate" me on which position I should sleep and that I shouldn't narrow my choices on what type of mattresses. If he wouldn't have interrupted me, he would have known that I have already researched the different types of mattresses.  The nail in the coffin was when he discussed the sleeping preferences/habits of previous customers. I am there to buy a mattress, not to hear stories on others. So I left and happily purchased one elsewhere.

I felt really uncomfortable with the salesman there and I just wanted to get out of there because there was a lot of pressure. My husband and I were looking at a bed to try one out to see how it was like and my husband crossed his legs. Then the guy came along and grabbed my husband?s leg. He lifted it up and dropped it down and said that it wasn?t being relaxed with the legs crossed. So, it was kind of weird. He didn?t leave us alone and we couldn?t even have a discussion about the bed. It was an uncomfortable type of pressure. So, we didn?t buy anything from them and we would not go back.
