ACADIANA WRECKER SVC

One wheel of my son's Honda Civic got off our concrete driveway.  Since the vehicle is low to the ground, it was impossible for us to get it back on the driveway without help.  We needed a tow service to simply lift the vehicle and put it back on the driveway.
I called Acadiana wrecker for an estimate to do the job, which he told me it to likely be $40.00 since it wouldn't actually be towed and would be quick.  He had it lifted within a minute, the while it was still attached to his tow truck, he told me that his charge would be $150.00 to release the vehicle.  When I raised objections and reminding him that he have me an estimate of $40.00, he told me that I must have misunderstood, because he was required by law to charge me $150.00 (which was a blatant lie.)
Them I told him to just put the car back where it was before, and I would just get someone else to do the job who was more honest, he threatened that if I didn't pay him $150.00 in cash immediately, he would tow the vehicle off and my costs would be compounded.  Since I live out of the city limits, I told him that I would call the Sheriffs' department and let them settle the dispute, he laughed then hopped in his vehicle as said that they'd have to come see him at his storage location ... where he was also towing my vehicle to immediately.  At that point, since my car was already hooked up to his vehicle, I went ahead and paid him, knowing that if I held him a gun-point till the Sheriff Deputy arrived, it would unlikely end the dispute in an acceptable manner.
He told me that he would only take cash, and only released the vehicle when he got the cash.
Finally, after he set the vehicle down, I found that he had twisted the bumper.  This was all done by the owner of the company. 
Obviously, this guy is a crook and used his tow service to literally extort money out of people.
