I finally told Roy not to return to complete the work. He offered to have a different man come to finish, but this sub had worked here before and I had a problem with the man making advances at me. Not ok. He also argued with me about how tile work "should" be done as opposed to what I wanted. I feel that I should have in my home what I want without having to fight to get it. I continued to have to fight to get things the way I wanted them.
Description of Work: I had to babysit the sub contractor for the owner, Roy Dedder. I speak very little Spanish. I couldn't get the sub to understand that he was hanging wall paneling incorrectly. Consequently much of it was wasted. I asked Roy to take the man off the job. The man would not leave and came back the next day. I didn't let him in. Roy was supposed to come make the job right, but we couldn't agree on costs to make that happen. The sub had needed nails and I gave him a card with $88.00 of store credit on it to a home improvement center. He lost the card. I was not reimbursed. Roy has now complained that he lost money on much of the work he performed here. He agreed to the prices and his overages occurred due to his miscommunication with his subs and loose control he had over them. The workers are on their cell phones too much.
