The wait to see the vet is never more than 10 minutes and when they call you to the exam room the vet is waiting.

I have been using Dr. Revels for over 20 years. I trust him with all of our small animals. (He does not do large animal services, like horses.) He is very friendly, as is his staff.

Living in a small, economically depressed parish with no animal control program to speak of, from time to time we find ourselves in a position that requires us to intervene in a case of an animal in a precarious position. Recently, we noticed someone had abandoned a puppy at our local trash dumpsters. The puppy was gradually outgrowing the collar left on it. Finally, it came to the point where my husband and I felt human decency demanded us to take action. We captured the puppy and contacted Dr. Revels at Rapides Animal Medical Center to have the puppy examined for injuries and/or sickness. At the same time, we made an appointment for a routine yearly exam for a previously rescued kitten, ironically from the same location as the puppy. On the day of the appointment we were processed by a courteous staff member and, within 10 minutes, were escorted to an examination room. Almost instantly, Dr. Revels came in and greeted us very warmly. He was courteous and cordial as he inquired to the nature of our visit then immediately began his examinations. He was gentle and thorough in the exam then fully explained his diagnosis and recommendations. Test results were rendered in a very timely manner and prescribed medications were explained. Dr. Revels is involved in animal rescue actions in our local area and he often volunteers his time and expertise to assist in these matters.
We have been clients of Dr. Revels for over 20 years and have always been very satisfied with his service. He is an excellent veterinarian and outstanding person. We highly recommend him to anyone needing small animal medical care. Other friends we have referred to him often thank us for directing them to such a caring person.
