Pillar just finished painting every room in my house. I am thrilled with the results! I feel like I have a new home after more than a decade of living here. I worked with Mike initially for a detailed quote. Everything I wanted done was broken down by room then walls, trim and ceilings. Rodney and Gam did the painting. They were professional, friendly and did a great job. Took the time to do the job right. I would hire this team again. Thanks Pillar.

Pillar painting had painted the exterior of our house earlier in the year. We were very impressed with the work ethic of the painters and of course the finished product. Because of our past experience with Pillar Painting we asked them to paint the interior of our house. We contacted Mike and he came out and gave us an estimate in the mid-September for the interior to be painted in the colder months when exterior painting would be done for the season. The paint job was actually completed in two steps. We had sold our bedroom furniture in early October and since our master bedroom was empty we asked Mike if he would be able to paint our master bedroom and bath before the new furniture arrived. He was able to break his crew free to complete this section of the entire paint job for us. Pillar Painting is more than willing to work with their customers and I and my wife were glad they could help us out. Pillar Painting came out in the first part of December to complete the rest of the job. Painting the interior of our home is no easy task. The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings, and the great room and foyer have twenty foot ceilings with crown molding which all had to be painted. There was some settling issues in our master bedroom and kitchen where the dry wall was marred at the intersection of the ceiling and wall. The painters were able to paint the marred areas where it looked good without us having to re-tape and mud the intersection of the wall and ceiling. We were especially pleased with the crown molding. The colors and quality of their paint are apparent. Our paint job pops off the walls! Looks great!!! I canāt convey in words how pleased we are with the finished product. Great paint job, great people, and great work ethic. Pillar Painting is that good.

I originally called Mike at Pillar based on a few other homes in our neighborhood they had painted. The colors looked saturated and stood out from other homes. After using Pillar twice in two months, our own residence and a rental property I would HIGHLY recommend this company. Mike is prompt at returning calls and questions. The crew was on time, professional and pleasant. They arrived when promised and the jobs were finished when promised. Most importantly, the painting was done right. So happy with these guys!

Extremely well. Owner Mike Pracht is great to work with. He is very customer oriented and accommodating to reasonable customer requests. His crews are professional and very efficient at accomplishing their tasks. His on site main painter, Mike, is also very knowledgeable and takes time to explain why they approach different tasks in the manner they do. These two jobs make the third time I've done business with Pillar Painting and Contracting, LLC. Each time they have done more than the bare minimum. They are staying at the top of my list for my next paint job.

The paint job with Pillar painting went very well. Mike came out and gave me estimate which seemed very reasonable. He was very courteous and thorough on his inspection of the job and listened as I explained what I wanted done. It was early in the season (04/28/16) and I told him any time this summer would work for me. I went on an eight week vacation mid summer and told Mike we would have it done on our return. He was very accomodating and began the job on our return the week of August 15th. His guys knocked the job out in a few days. It probably took a couple extra days because it rained during the week. I was very pleased with the job. There were a couple areas that I had concerns with and I called Mike and he made things right. The end result was a superior paint job. Very pleased and have already asked for another estimate on an interor paint job. I was especially pleased with the front door. My wife was wanting a new front door, but after the paint job was more than happy to keep our present door. A real money saver.

It was a positive experience from start to finish. I contacted Mike for an estimate. He came to the house and discussed what I wanted done, and provided a descriptive and reasonably priced estimate. He scheduled his crew, who did a good and safe job. Both Painters (Mike & Rodney) are professional qualified painters. The house was pressure washed, painted, and then inspected with me by Mike, all in one day. Yes, I would recommend Pillar painting & contracting.

Excellent! Mike responded right away with a fair quote. He performed the work within days of bidding the job... very fast turn around... other companies were more expensive and much further out on a timeline. Mike did a great job, too! Get them if you can. They are awesome. Pillar painting is a professional locally owned company that does exceptional work. The painters are courteous and knowledgable as well as skillful. I was so pleased to be advised multiple times during the day about the status of the job. They also chalked things I didn't expect. Washed my lights for me! So pleased with the look, the care of my property and the men's pride in their work.

Contacted Mike and he stopped by the same day to give me a rough estimate of the cost. He promptly sent an email with a detailed quote and several references, including addresses so I could drive by and check them out. I was impressed with Mike's initiative, attention to detail and quick response to my texts and emails. Due to a postponed job Mike was able to schedule me sooner than expected. The two man crew arrived on time, pressure washed, then took samples and went to match paint color. Their work was PERFECTION!!! Excellent clean up, efficient and professional! Very, very pleased!

Mike came highly referred. He was very prompt both in his initial response and on all responses. The bid was emailed to me promptly and since I was flexible on days, he was able to work me in much sooner than he promised. I love it when they under promise and over deliver! The job was completed in two days and turned out beautifully. He used zero and low VOC paint choices for my home at my request which was also important for me with my allergies. I am very pleased with the overall experience and will be calling Mike again and will refer him to others.

Because of a water emergency in the dead of last winter, I had to replace carpeting. I decided to not do carpeting on the stairs but instead do hardwood floors- dark hardwood with stark white on the steps and risers. I wasn't sure how the old risers that were stained would do being painted white.
I called Mike Pracht from Pillar Paint and he came the next day to offer advice. Within a week I had a beautiful renovated staircase in the two tones that I wanted and a freshly painted foyer.
I found them to be:

c. reasonable
d. extra helpful

"Someone recently informed us we had a bad review posted on Angie's List. I would like to respond to this customer. We do show up promptly for our appointments, and yes, we do make follow-up calls to show that we are genuinely interested in performing the jobs. As agreed, she was supposed to leave out her gallon of paint for us to match; however, the first day on the job she had left for work prior to our arrival and had forgotten to leave the gallon out for us. When we called her, she said we could take a chip of paint off of the house and take it to Sherwin Williams to color match it, which is common practice as most homeowners do not have the original colors to their home. We told her they would make as close a match as possible based on the chip. Chips off the house are faded from the original color, so we request Sherwin to match the chip, and then make it half a shade to 3/4 of a shade darker (such as 110%), in order to match as closely as possible without the original paint can. We have not had any previous customer complaints about this process and she approved this on day one of the project when she forgot to leave the paint out for us. Wet paint does dry darker and the sun can make it appear especially shiny and lighter while wet. At the time of completion, she did not have any complaints about the color of her home. Several weeks after the project, she called us and told us her neighbor had mentioned to her that the color was possibly not a perfect match and could be a tad lighter. She said she had not realized it herself, but took notice after her neighbor spoke to her about it. Most outlets on porches are not painted, so we did not paint hers, either. On the second day of the project, we arrived early before she left for work to intentionally walk her around the outside of her home to show her that the previous painters had left drip marks all over her brick home before we even painted those sides, because our crew noticed the brick the day we started, so that she would know at the outset the drip marks did not come from our crew. She confirmed she could see them and they were not from us. We did tell her that we could not come back and repaint the entire house for free. We did not believe that was appropriate, given that we had done the paint match according to the process explained to her and that she was satisfied with it for weeks before calling to complain that her neighbor said it seemed different to her neighbor. She asked if we could possibly just repaint the front of the house, then. We did come pick up the gallon of Porter Paint from her and told her we would talk to Sherwin Williams and see what they might be willing to work out with us; and that we had several projects scheduled over the next several weeks and, if it was possible, we would see what we could work out with her on the front of the house. Sherwin Williams did not have responsibility for any errors on matching the paint, since it was by a chip off of their home, so there was no recourse for the new paint color. The customer was not interested in paying for labor to repaint her home, and we were unable to provide free labor for a repaint. We should have returned the gallon of Porter Paint to her. We held onto it too long, hoping for an opportunity to resolve the situation. The crew disposed of all leftover paint at the end of season. We are fast, but not rushed. We do take care to provide a clean, professional job and have many satisfied references, even those whom we have returned to repair an issue of concern, which we provide with every estimate. We regret we have not been able to resolve this customer's dissatisfaction with us. She does have a beautiful home and we did treat her and her home with respect and care."

Mike and the crew did a fantastic job painting the house. We were in a tight time frame with a move and wanted to get the exterior done prior to listing the house. Mike was able to accommodate that time frame, provided recommendations to make the home more appealing, and ended up far exceeding our expectations.
During the painting process, Mike was at the house 3-4 times a day to answer questions from me, the crew, and ensuring the job was completed in a timely manner.
A few instances come to mind that stick out on this job:
1) The stain that we had chosen for the deck was transparent and you could see the streaks from the older stain through the new stain. Mike went and purchased a solid stain to match our desired color, put that on the deck, and it looks better than I anticipated it in the first place.
2) There was a threat of rain the following day. The crew stayed late to ensure that the job was complete in enough time to have nothing impacted by the weather.
3) Communication was top notch. Mike was always available by phone or text throughout the process (from bid to completion) and kept me in the loop on when the job would start and when it would be completed. The transparency was appreciated and took the "guess work" out of the homeowners side of the equation.
4) No hidden fees. What I was quoted is what I paid. There were no "hidden charges" even when the stain needed to be changed out on the deck.
All in all, I would highly recommend Pillar Painting to anyone who is looking to have work done. Everyone I encountered is a true professional in every sense of the word. Thank you to the entire crew (Mike, Mike, Ty, and Rodney) for a job very well done.

My wife and I are very pleased with the painting done by Mike and his crew. Mike was very helpful with suggestions when we were trying to decide what color to paint the shutters and front door. He selected a color that I would never have picked but after it was on, my wife and I loved it. The entire crew was very courteous and I would definitely recommend them. We already plan to bring them back to paint the interior of the house.

Provider was professional in all dealings. Work personnel were courteous, professional and pleasant to be around. Worked efficiently, cleaned up all areas and replaced any items that were moved back in original positions. Punctual in showing up for the work. As both homeowners could not be present at work's completion, the contractor actually came back for a second work review to ensure we were both satisfied with the work. Company provided customer service that can only be considered above and beyond what was called for in the contract.
