I am a return customer for Cole, this was the 2nd time I have used their engineering services. Cole is very professional, prepared and customer-oriented. The evaluation went as planned. The engineer was timely, efficient and punctual. Debbie the office administrator is awesome! I also want to point out that my need for these services came up suddenly, but Cole Engineering really came through for me. They fit me in their schedule and Debbie is very organized, timely and just a pleasure to work with, even in last minute situations. She was patient with me through the entire process and I couldn't have asked for better service considering the circumstances.

Jeremiah Cole inspected the house's foundation and the land around the house, identified problems, and wrote a report describing the problems and probable types of repairs.

It seemed like a pretty big waste of money.  Mike crawled under the addition and noted a couple items.  He also checked under the deck and noted some joist hangers that were rusted.  But on these inspections no one wants to take ownership, so in the end we didn't get much out of it.

When it comes to the report, it took way too long.  We had the survey at 8am on Monday morning and didn't get the report until nearly 2pm on Friday afternoon. Debbie Spurlock was pretty rude when responding to our inquiries about when we would get the report.  When we did receive the report it didn't have any information we didn't already know.  But it was full of fluff about the weather in Cincinnati and how the freezing and thawing makes foundations shift.  In the end we wasted a whole week of negotiations for nothing. 

I wouldn't use or refer Cole Engineering in the future.

The engineer was flexible about timing so that my brother could also attend the inspection. He took his time explaining where the weight bearing was. He confirmed that we were able to remove walls.
I had earlier had the same engineer(Rick Graman) come to my house because I had received 3 different recommendations about what kind of piers to put in ($5000-$7000) from 3 different foundation repair companies regarding a stair step crack in my brickwork. Rick recommended that I just observe the crack rather than any repair at present. Over the next 4 months after rains, the crack has almost completely closed.
He did however point out another area of the foundation wall on the other side of the house that was bowing recommending that if I put in some support now in order to avoid problems in the future.

It went well. He was on time and provided an unbiased report that helped us determine what needed immediate correction and what could wait until the budget allowed further repairs.

The engineer was extremely knowledgeable and took time to answer any questions I had while he was onsite for the inspection.  He delivered his report on time and with a good level of detail.  I would recommend CES to anyone with foundation questions about their home or the home they are buying.

Fabulously. Have put my home on the market, and wanted to be sure my garage was fine. Later discovered that Cole is widely respected by many local realtors for doing home inspections. When potential buyers' realtors found out that Cole did the assessment, they told their clients that they could trust his judgement.

We are remodeling our home and looking to remove an interior wall between the kitchen and living room. After reading Angie's List ratings and reviews, we contacted Cole Engineering Solutions. They set up an appointment right away and Jeremiah (the engineer) arrived promptly. He was extremely professional and thorough, and answered all my questions. Mr. Cole was on time, very professional and did a fabulous job! He gave me a full report in a expedited timeline considering our deadline for inspection. He was able to give me very clear information which helped us to know exactly what we were purchasing and what needed to be done to bring the home up to standards put in place by engineering standards. This gave us negotiating room to be able to allow for future improvements that are needed. We did decide to purchase the home and will be doing the suggested improvements necessary. Thank you for the great service. It was the best service I received during the whole home purchasing experience no question about it.

Wow. What more can I say. The engineer was informed, patient and did his homework. We had a great discussion and he answered all of my questions.

The engineer, Rick Graman, was excellent to work with. We are selling my mother-in-law's house in Cincinnati and we live in California. Rick spent a good deal of time with me on the phone explaining the report which was super helpful. Debbie in the office was also excellent. 
Rick recommended 3 companies to do the repair. The company we chose was very familiar with Cole's work and it was helpful that they have a working relationship.

The engineer showed up a few minutes early and spent a lot of time investigating the wall in question.  He looked both inside and outside the home and made several measurements to get an accurate assessment of the magnitude of the problem.  During this time, he encouraged me to walk with him so we could discuss the issues and his findings in real-time so that I better understood the problem.  He was very thorough and found a few other minor issues that were in other parts of the house even though we did not contract for him to look at those areas.  Within 2 days I received, via email, a detailed report about the problem.  I was then able to email back and forth several times discussing the report and better understanding what our potential options might be (even though we did not pay for that service).  I would HIGHLY recommend Cole Engineering Solutions!

It went very well. Great communications and the appointment was exactly as described. A set of stamped drawings were provided to me at an additional cost which is included in the $1000.00 outlined in the survey.
The drawings were clear and concise.
I would definitely use this firm again in the future and would recommend them to anyone.
