"I am sorry that you had a recurrence of your drain issue. When we completed the job everything was draining properly and continued to do so for about two months. We do not warranty drain cleaning because we cannot control what homeowners put down their drains to cause a blockage and cannot control roots growing into them. However, had you called back the next day with your sewer line still backing up we would have acknowledged that we must not have completely cleared the drain and come back out. If you have roots in your sewer line it will be a recurrent issue for you and that can be an unfortunate and expensive part of being a homeowner, especially in an older home such as yours. When you scheduled your appointment you had requested a specific day, which was three days later to accommodate your own schedule, so it is really not factual or fair to claim that as poor punctuality. We did arrive at your home on the scheduled date and time frame. After our service you never called to state that there was any issue with our clean up. Had you done so we would have addressed that issue as well. During our initial conversation we recommended that you contact MSD prior to our visit. They will inspect and often camera your line for free in the event of a backup and determine if the issue is on their portion of the line. If so, they will correct the problem at no cost to the homeowner. We certainly could have charged you more money to run a camera. We did not feel it was necessary since your line was draining properly after running our cable through it. It is a fine line between providing a good service at a good price and avoiding unnecessary up-charges that may or may not be beneficial. It is our general policy not to up-sell products and services to our customers. I think this is demonstrated in our numerous “A” reviews on Angie’s List, including an “A” review from you in July of 2013."
