My very positive review reflects everyone else's - these guys are awesome.  I'll add that I went out and got quotes from 3 other fence builders from Angie's list.  The same simple fence job received a quote of $3,800 at the high end.  Raatz came in at $2,100 and the next closest one was $2,900.  The bredth of quotes amazed me.
I'll add that the quality and speed of work were impressive.  They removed a chainlink fence for me (at $150).  While other quoting companies said they would remove the chainlink by cutting it with a sawzall, Raatz pulled ever post out of the ground- they really went the extra mile here.

I was very pleased with the result.  The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time and the workers cleaned up the work area after finishing the job.  I would recommend Raatz again, and if the work was masonry only, I would recommend Masonry and More.

Raatz came highly recommended by my pool builder and they did not disappoint.  I met with a sales person a week before the work began and he measured the area as well as took pictures of the area to make sure the workers understood the plan.  The cost for the ornimental aluminum fence with 2 gates was very close to the estimate given by phone.
The day of the work, a team of 2 showed up on time and they again walked around the area to understand what I wanted.  I made a small change to the placement of 1 of the gates and that did not present a problem for the team.  They were happy to make the change in the plan.  As the work progressed, the team lead checked with me several times to make sure everything was looking good and was to my liking.
The work was completed in 1 days time and the gates swing perfectly and everything continue to look great.  Now 3 months later, I continue to be pleased with the workmanship and quality. 
My only complaint on the whole process was I did ask the salesman to also give me an estimate for installing some poles around the pool to hold a sun shade and he never called me back with the quote as promised.  Overall, this was not a huge deal but thought I would mention it.

We had a great experience. Everytime we needed them they showed up and also called. The workers were always on time and worked hard. They only took a lunch break and worked the rest of the time. They were nice and professional. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.  It only took two days - one to install the posts and one for the rest.

They are good and I love them. They are prompt, knowledgeable, and dependable. They answered the phone. They are a little pricey.

I liked what they did.  Their pricing was competitive with anybody else, but it was still expensive.  They did great.

Raatz was outstanding. Price was  a little high, but quality is exceptional. Had one minor problem a few months after installation and they were out the next day to diagnose and fix. No issues since. Fantastic to work with.

They were completed within time frame they stated- However they placed part of the fence the opposite way of the rest they installed because it was next to a shed in our yard and said they could not get their equipment to fit in order to turn it the proper way.

I received several quotes from other companies and I liked the man who did the quote and measurements so decided to go with this company.  There was only one thing I did not like, the woman who schedules the appointments dropped the ball.  She called and was thinking she was giving me a reminder that they guys were coming out to work on the fence tomorrow but that was the first call I received and that was a little bit inconvenient for me.  Other than that I really like that fence and installation crew. They were great and the fence looks wonderful.

Our only purpose of installing a fence was to keep two small dogs in the back yard. They were easy to schedule and quick to come out and give us an estimate. Greg came out on time and was great and gave us the cheapest estimate of the other companies we had seen.  We set to have the fence installed on the 12th of January and came home from work that evening and it was completed.  We went to check out the new fence and let our dogs out with us, while we looked around.  Within minutes the smallest was escaping from where the fence was suppose to meet the ground. After pulling her back to the our side of the fence I promptly called Raatz and left a message letting them know that the fence had too many spots that were 3-4 inches above the ground level and it wasn't dog proof like the intial estimate that we had got had agreed upon.  They called me back the next morning to have someone come out and look at it and correct the issue a few days later.  We came home to find random sections of the fence (4-5 boards) longer than the others and butted up against the ground. It was very sloppy and unprofessional and looked like a quick fix job to hopefully shut us up.  We called again the next day and left a message with the admin. We didn't hear anything that day and called back the next day.  We then got a phone call and set up an appointment to meet and discuss what the issues were and see what needed to be done to fix them.  The guy came out and looked at the fence and said this was not how they do business and that he would have it corrected and fixed. He was not at all pleased with the work that had been performed.  Needless to say his crews were out there in full force in the rain replacing the majority of the fence until late that evening.  They were there once I got home from work around 5pm and I left for dinner around 6pm and came back an hour or more later to find them finally finishing up and leaving. The fence looks pretty good, and there is still one or two spots that I wish was cleaner cut.  Not a bad company just seemed to have a disconnect in quality with different areas in thier company.  I'm not sure if I would recommend them to anyone else just because of the hassle and length of time it took to correct however I am satisfied with the final product.

The experience was great. They were very professional, they showed up on time, the estimates were accurate and they cleaned up the work space very well.

We were very pleased with them and were satisfied. We thought they were very, very good. We pleased with the presentation that they gave us when they came to give the bid. The workmen were very thorough and did everything we asked. We had a little hill in one area of our backyard and they paid a little extra attention to that. They were very good and I would use them again. I will use them again in the future.

.They did a fabulous job on our fencing. I had to contain my dog while they worked and they put up a temporary fence for our dog at no extra charge. I get compliments on my fence all the time. It was a little expensive but the service was well worth it. Someone damaged my fence in the summer and they came our quickly to fix it.

We are very pleased with the work done by the at Raatz Fence Company installers.  Our garden is about 50 years old and it wasn't an easy install. Although we had cleaned up the area and dug out ornamental grasses and other plants, they had to work around irrigation water pipes and cut through concrete slabs. We were impressed that they had all the equipment to take care of the problems. They did excellent work and were professional. They were good with my dog.

We got two estimates for the job and choose Raatz. Because they were busy,  we had to wait a few weeks but they were very punctual when the date came.  The two men who worked on the fence were polite and respectful.  It was one of those extremely hot summer days and the temperature made working outside more uncomfortable. They were fast and careful about my plants.  The fence turned out beautifully, and the gate works very well.  They came out once since when I called to have them adjust something little.  I also asked for an extra handle which they gave me for free.  Their office called a short time afterwards to see if everything was fine.  They said they wanted their customers to be 100% satisfied.  We know why this company has been in business for so long and with such a good reputation.

I think I emailed them first and then they called me back.  They were very prompt in coming out to take care of it and it was done quickly and right.  I am very happy with the work.

As a matter of fact, I did find them on Angie’s List. I was familiar with the name, but that was where I went to research it. They took longer to start the job than they said they are going to, that was disappointing. We did have a week and a half of rain, so that held it up. That was understandable but after that they said they got little busy and they did not get to it. I had to call back again to get them to get started. That was necessary because that would work. My son was moving in to the house, he had two big dogs and we needed the yard fenced. I was a little bit disappointed with the timing they started the job but once they did start they finished it as promised and they did a good job. I would say overall experience was very good. The only hesitation was the timing it took them to initially start the job. However, for the fencing job itself I would give them an “A”. In terms of responsiveness, the salesman came out right away with the estimate but they did not start the work. I would use their services again in the future.

We recently moved into a new house and needed the back yard fenced for our two greyhounds.  We called and requested an estimate from Raatz to submit to our homeowners's association (HOA).  The person providing the estimate was on time and left us with a detailed, written estimate.  After receiving approval from the HOA and making a change to the dimensions of the proposal to accommodate a neighbor, Raatz installed a wooden five foot tall cedar picket fence with three gates.  The posts were installed on a Friday with the remainder of the fence installed on Monday.  The installation crew was polite and completed work promptly.  We're pleased with the result and able to let our dogs out without concern about them wandering.  

Raatz did a great job - they came out on a Monday and completed demo of all of the existing fence including removal of previous posts.  They got all new 4X4 posts set as well on the first day.  Then they completed the new Cedar privacy fence on Tuesday including one gate.  They kept the yard clean (although some tire tracks were seen in the grass).  Great price and great service!

Contacted two companies. The first company, while the same price, was a little negative as to the fence that could be build. Raatz on the on the other hand was very positive. From all the phone calls, the sales/estimate, and installation everyone was positive, cheerful, and helpful. The guys that set the post and put the fence up, while working in 20 degree weather, were helpful and fully explained everything they were doing. As I walked around, inspecting the work, they answered questions and help me understand what they are doing. Raatz is a top rate company. I fully recommend them and will use them again.

The quote was done quickly, and any delays were on our part as the customer. We were not hounded by follow-up calls, and had many questions answered via e-mail in a quick manner. at time of quote When we decided to go with Raatz, our fence was ordered and arrived in no time at all. On the morning of our install, three installers showed up early. By the end of the day, there was an additional team of installers (total 6-7) on site so that we wouldn't have to wait to have our fence completed. I wish that the fine print on the contract had been discussed at the time of quote as our land required jack hammering for the post holes, which incurs an additional charge. However, when I called the office, we were able to reach a fair compromise, and I am extremely satisfied with our final product.

The whole process was very quick, from the sales call to the installation. I had gotten a couple of fence quotes last year, one from Raatz, but hadn't gotten the work done at that time. I called them again, the salesman came out and gave me a lower quote than I had gotten before because he said materials were a little cheaper now. They started the following week. The whole process took about 2-1/2 days - we have a pretty big yard. After they finished up I noticed that the wood pickets in the gate were kind of splintering in a few places and it didn't look very good. I would probably give them an A- because of that if I could. But they came out a few days later and fixed that.
