We've been loyal Pet Suites customers for many years and have always been pleased with the service.  The facility is very clean, and there seems to be enough staff in the front and back to care for the customers and the pets. We also like that Pet Suites does not have "group" playtimes, but "individual" playtimes.
I wanted to express some disappointment, however, in our checkout during the last boarding. As I mentioned, we have been customers for many years. I was running late and had to pick up our dogs 45 minutes past the check-out time. I would have hoped that Pet Suites would not have charged us for an additional day of boarding for two dogs. But that's exactly what happened. By showing up late, the representative charged us the entire boarding rate for both dogs.  At the very least, Pet Suites could have discounted the rate, or simply charged a small late fee for the inconvenience.  Although, I would still be disappointed with any fee.  This was not a holiday period and the kennel was not full. I was disappointed that the company would do this to loyal customers. The bill was already pretty expensive when boarding two dogs for nearly a week!  We have chosen not to board our dogs at PetSuites and instead try our best to have a family member stay at our home. This really irked us and now they have lost our business.
For those wishing to board your dogs here, don't be more than 30 minutes late when you pick them up!

I am completely happy with them. We are happy with the whole thing. The place is clean, and they take care of the dogs, and our dog is well and healthy when we get back.

They do a wonderful job. They were the only one who can handle our dog. The actual grooming that we had done was $70 and that's a very reasonable price because of his size. The boarding we haven't used it for a while so I can't give you a price on that, but they did a good the last time we took him. The place is spotless.

Our visits to Pet Suites are consistently pleasant. The staff is courteous and efficient. Our dog loves it there.
For grooming, they have a morning drop-off option that we love (they call it the and quot;Day Spaand quot;), because we can drop her off on our way to work and pick her up after work, and it doesn't impact our work schedules. Our dog is more than happy to spend the day in the company of other canines.
Before deciding to board her there, I took a behind-the-scenes tour. The facility was spotless, and smelled clean - an amazing feat considering the number of dogs there. The dogs were happily and quot;chattingand quot; with each other; I didn't notice any unhappy howling. When we boarded our dog there, they took great care of her.

It went great. They were very understanding when plans changed and my dog ended up staying there over the arranged time. They were wiling to work with me.

We went to go look at it and, we have a Mastiff, so we needed someplace that was big. Professionalism is hard to tell because you're not there but I guess I would give them a B. Honestly, no, I wouldn't use this kennel again.

We have been using Pet Suites for 7 years. The last time we used their services was when they had our pet for about 9 days. You get to choose how many play time do they get and the cost adds on for that. You have to pay the 50% upfront as a deposit. The overall experience went well. We had a little problem with the groomer. We were having our pet groomed as he has very long hair. We've had him groomed there before and we had no problem. They did a good job. But, this time they cut the tip of his tail and we had to take him to an emergency. Pet suites was very good. They covered the cost and they took him down there and made sure he was taken care of. They handled everything and was very responsive. As far as the services, we've used them for years and they've always done a very good job.

The facilities are extraordinarily clean. There is definitely enough staff. It is convenient because you can have your dogs groomed while they are there. They also have doggy day care.

We dropped off our two dogs for boarding as both of us needed to be out of town. They were given the incorrect room, they were not exercised as discussed, they were dehydrated when they were picked up 24 hours later, and due to the inability of their staff to explain their billing, we were charged for 2 days of service. Granted, they checked the box on their form that states that they discussed how their billing works, but it wasn't explained when the service was scheduled. While I can stomach inattentive staff when it comes to billing, I will not suffer my dogs coming home not having been properly exercised or watered. That's the entire purpose of a boarding facility, to care for our furry friends when we're unable to do so. This place is overpriced and over-marketed for a facility with little desire to properly care for your pets.

Needless to say, when they were picked up and both the billing issue occurred as well as the dogs being dehydrated and not exercised, we were irate. Not being one to avoid confrontation when a service isn't being fulfilled they were told exactly how upset we were, to which they responded that we should watch our tone of voice or not be allowed to board there anymore. Now, I'm not upset about not being able to board there as when we left we still were allowed (by a regional chain boarding business), but I'm fairly certain that the best way to upset someone further is to provide poor customer service in addition to poor service.

My advice to the facility. Learn how to provide good customer service, which may require you to swallow your pride to make your customers happy when they leave. And more importantly, learn how to properly exercise and board animals. The dogs that you take in are a part of many of the families that are leaving them in your care. This requires proper exercise, elimination breaks, and training of your staff to properly respond and care for the animals.

My advice to someone looking for a boarding facility. Don't be lured in by the flashy signs and website. Find a local boarder who's more interested in the animals and providing excellent care.
Response from Pet Suites Pet Resort & Spa
"As the manager of Louisville PetSuites, I felt it important to respond to this report. We strive to provide exceptional care to each one of our guests. We offer great hours and an extremely clean resort. We are owned and operated by animal lovers and treat each guest like we'd want our own pet's treated. While we are sorry that this customer is unsatisfied with his experience, we did try to accommodate their demands. We had them booked in a townhouse and they stayed in a townhouse. But when the customer picked up and stated that they had not wanted them in a townhouse, we adjusted the bill. However, we stand behind the noon check out time, as it is clearly stated on the signed contract, signage in the lobby, on the website and in all brochures. We also go over policies and procedures upon initial reservation. We provide an abundance of fresh, water throught the entire pet's stay. They received fresh water every morning and their water bowls are topped off numerous times daily. Our water bowls hold 8 cups of water. It is not unusual for a dog to want to drink water when they come home or pant. This is how a dog sweats and is a stress reliever for them. Each of the dogs was provided additional exercise as requested. They received the standard two potty breaks and then also got a mid day play session and additional pm pottybreak. The comment from the customer that they did not receive additional execise is incorrect. I did try to further contact this customer to see if there were any further questions or comments but was unable to reach them."
