Workers showed up on the day that they were supposed to and returned the next day to complete the job. They did a good job of cleaning up all the discarded material. The roof looks good. They returned a couple of weeks later to replace the gutters and two downspouts. The gutters look great compared to the old gutters, it was pouring rain when I arrived home the day they were installed, the gutters appeared to be doing an adequate job. I also had a gutter added to one side of my detached garage, where there was not a gutter previously, this added gutter greatly helped to reduce the water that was seeping under the garage side door. We had a little bit of a problem with an incorrect total amount on the sales contract, but, Middletown took care of the issue and honored the sales contract. I was very pleased with the resolution, Thank You, Middletown Roofing!

I called Middletown Roofing for an estimate. They came when they were scheduled (which is no small thing for a contractor) and gave me an estimate. I had estimates from other roofers, that would bother to show up. Middletown was not the lowest but toward the bottom. They were, however, by far the most professional. I scheduled them to replace the shingles that were missing. They did not try to upsell me. They did the work when schedules and cleaned up after themselves. You couldn't tell they had been there.
I have since referred them to others. One person had water leakage in their home. Two other roofers came out to give bids. Neither actually went into the attic or on the roof. They gave estimates in the thousands of dollars. Middletown came out, actually went into the attic (seems obvious to me but apparently it's not) and determined the problem wasn't the roof at all but instead a loose drain pipe. They fixed it for a couple of hundred dollars. I'll use Middletown for any future roofing repairs I may have.

They came out quickly and provided an estimate which was very competitive. within a day or two. They came out and did the work within a week or so of our acceptance of their terms. Although the leak was reduced, the next big rainstorm we still saw a problem. When we called them back, they came out very quickly and made adjustments, Since then, we have had several rainstorms and have seen no further signs of the problem.

The service was good. They cleaned up after themselves. The price was good. They worked with me on the kind of shingles I wanted, because I have a lot of wind up here. They gave me suggestions. They were very responsive. I would use this provider again.

The person who came to give the estimate was very knowledgeable. He took his time measuring the roof and gave us a very thorough estimate for our roof. When they came and did the roof in the past, they got the job done very timely and did a great job. They cleaned everything up afterwords. He also gave me an estimate more recently for fixing my skylights. I would highly recommend them for any roofing job!

Everything went very well. Originally, they were going to re-flash the chimney, but the chimney was found to be in bad shape, so, for the same price, they removed the chimney and simply covered over it. It's an unused chimney that 40+ years ago used to vent a gas burning floor furnace. The furnace was long since removed and the chimney was just an aging remnant of that. The gutter work was done quickly and professionally and looks great and so far is working perfectly.

Have used them before and would use them again. First met them through a recommendation, and they have twice done a great job. Another firm was slightly cheaper, but that firm started trying to sell me other unneeded services, a little tiresome. I highly recommend Middletown roofing.

Excellent meeting with Parker, the estimator. Roofers spent only a few days removing old roof and applying new one. Totally cleaned up property following job. Excellent look to the roof after the job.

We contacted 3 companies for estimates and are so glad we decided to go with Middletown Roofing. Top notch experience all the way around. Parker provided a very professional estimate after examing our roof. He met with our insurance adjustor who was impressed with the fact that not only was Parker on time, but that he even showed up. Our adjustor said many times roofing reps. will set a time to meet and either not show or be late. After working out the details, the job began the next day. The crew that took off the old roof and installed the new one were prompt, polite, and finished in the expected time frame. The clean up afterwards was immaculate. We love the finished product and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing their services.

Middletown Roofing was very responsive in setting up an appointment to assess roof damage. Their assessment and remedy matched every other quote, except their quote was substantially lower than others. Scheduling was quick and, within a couple days, they came over. Work went quickly and they were considerate enough to take pictures of thier progress on the 2nd story roof. Repair and cleanup took about 1/2 day for the two-man crew. I've found only a couple small pieces of scrap material that they missed - no complaints there. So far the repair appears to be effective, though with only one rain storm since, fingers are still crossed.

Fast and reasonable estimate when called. Worked with us and the insurance company. Recommended great colored shingles. Also supplied reference homes to view considered shingles. Removed old roof and replaced felt paper, aluminum drip, re-flashed chimney, replaced plumbing vent flashings and passive air vents, also had some wood repair that was needed. Debris was cleaned up well (no nails left!) and we recieved 2 year warranty. The estimate process went great and the workers were fabulous in unbelievble heat. I would have liked to receive a follow-up phone call to see if everything went well, but we never got one. Still a good company and I would use them again.

We had a roof leak and some flashing problems. We wanted to know the price difference between repair and full replacement. The estimator, scheduled for Monday, called and asked to come on Sunday b/c he was not sure about the weather for the coming week. He was wonderful. He took time to show me the problems I called about and some other issues also. He also gave me a full list of topics to cover when anyone looks at a roof--acknowledging we should get other estimates too. The estimate was in line with 2 of the 4 roofers we called. (1 no show, 1 really expensive and impersonal, 2 about the same.) Once we chose a shingle, the roofers came the next business day and worked from 8 am to 7 pm. They nearly finished the entire project. They left the entire yard clean and debris free. The next day they had to come for about 2 hours to finish-up. They left the entire yard clean--I found no nails, shingles, tar paper! The roof looks GREAT! There were no surprises in the final cost.

After battling our insurance for months, (which a member of the Middletown staff took care of for the most part) we decided to use Middletown due to the excellent service they provided. They were very on top of things and were as helpful as they could possibly be. The workers arrived on time, explained everything to us and began working. They were done in a day and the clean up job was amazing. I have yet to find one single nail in our yard!

In April 2005 I commissioned Middletown to repair a leak around my chimney. This entailed re-shingling a portion of the roof and the repair/waterproofing of the chimney. The chimney repair cost $731 of the total $1,600 job cost. At the time I was lead to believe that applying a special type of cement was the correct and permanent way to fix the leak. Three years later the leak is back and I find the material, which was installed by a Middletown Roofing contractor, is paper thin and peeling or cracked over the entire crown (top) of the chimney. Upon calling Middletown, I spoke to the General Manager and was told there was nothing he could do as the contract stated that there was a 1 year warranty. On 12/5/08 I wrote the owner, Dan Brown, a letter explaining the situation, acknowledging he had no legal obligation, but I felt he had a moral obligation to help me out. As of this day, five weeks after my letter, Mr. Brown has not had the courtesy to respond to my letter. I must point out that I have been a customer of Middletown Roofing since 1992 when they re-roofed a previous home and they have also done all the work on my current home of 5 years. I m not a new customer! Ironically, if you look under the yellow pages for chimney repair, Middletown is listed when in fact, they farm out the chimney work. The General Manager recommended and gave me the phone number for another chimney repair company that wasn t even listed in the phone book. Another chimney repair company is currently doing the work for over $100.00 less money with a 15 year guarantee. Obviously, I will never use, or recommend Middletown Roofing again. With their contract, you re on your own after one year. I now find that I must have the repair done a second time (correctly) and must also incur the cost of interior repair.

I made an appointment on Friday afternoon. The receptionist said someone would be at my house "the first of next week." She also said that I didn't need to be there, and they would bill me for "a $295 job." The next Monday, I came home from work to see no work was completed. I left a voice mail, as the office was closed. I did not hear back from anyone by lunch the following day. So, I called again. There was no real apology, and a different receptionist said a crew would be out on Wednesday. Wednesday morning, after I had gotten to work, I received a call from a repairman who was on his way to my house. He said that I would need to come home to sign the work order. I got home, signed it, and was informed that because there were 3 pieces of aluminum to be nailed back, not 1, my cost was now $400. I did not feel like debating, so I went ahead and paid with a check. $100 dollars to nail back some aluminum is not a fair price. All I can recommend is to do all the small stuff yourself, because it seems like these people will nickle and dime you.

The two roofers arrived exactly on time, politely looked over the house, including inside where the leak was visible. They then went up on the roof, identified the problem, went about repairing it, came down and reported to me, and left.

Timely quotation. No pressure sales pitch from knowledgeable, friendly guy. Came as promised and finished the job, complete with great clean-up, in one day. Place was a mess during the process and I was surprised at how quickly they completely cleaned everything up. Roof looks great! I would recommend highly.
