If I could give them a negative number I would. This company has been out to our home several times because they have a relationship with our home warranty company. This was the last time. One time the owner came out, could not diagnose the problem. The next day a different company came out, diagnosed and fixed the problem within an hour. Then they fixed a furnace with issues. When we had our regular company out for the bi-annual service, they found that Max had not reconnected parts properly, the plate protecting us from a carbon monoxide leak had not been secured, and multiple screws were left all over our attic. This was after waiting THREE WEEKS for a part to come in. Last weekend we had a power surge which took out multiple appliances, including two furnaces. Max was scheduled to be here between 9 and 1. I was running about 10 minutes late. I called the company to say if he gets there at 9, please wait, I will be there. I pulled in at 9:07. He was PULLING OUT. The lady on the phone didn't have the courtesy to call him and tell him. He came in, diagnosed the problem, was finished at 10. By 3:30, no call had been made to the home office or the warranty company to order the parts. An entire day... wasted. And, when I called to follow up, their voicemail is not set up. No one answered at 3:30 in the afternoon and you can't leave a message. Today, I heard nothing from the company. They did not call with an update, they did not give me any kind of report. It's going to be 16 degrees here this weekend. My children had to sleep outside the house all week because it was so cold in their rooms. There is no urgency, no customer service, no care at all from this company. We took it into our own hands and called Prudential. They came out, same day, diagnosed the problem and fixed both furnaces all within a couple hours. Worth every penny to not have to deal with a shister company like Max Heating and Air. Save yourself the hassle. If American Home Shield says you have to work with them, demand a different vendor.
