General Electric Service he was able to diagnose the part that was needed. The other company that came said, "you've got a relay out and I don't know how to fix it." Once we called the number they scheduled the visit giving themselves a three hour window. The repairman arrived within the time scheduled and called right before he came. He was here for a very brief time. He came, diagnosed it, ordered the part while he was at my home, scheduled his next visit and departed. At exactly the moment when he said he would return he was there. The scheduling was as advertised and the job was done efficiantly, fast, and without trouble. It's a post modern company, General Electric Service is great.

They are beyond outstanding.  You can understand them; they are located in the United States.  They are so helpful we are buying another stove.  They got us a new stove at a tremendous discount including installation.  The lady we spoke to was phenomenal.

I called their 800 number for service. I got a not very friendly person on the phone. She kept reading from a script and was hard yo understand. Finally she set up an appointment for the same day. The repairman arrived promptly. Although ha had a GE Service van he seemed to lack the basic tools. He had to borrow a step ladder, a flashlight and a cleaning brush. When that didn't work he wanted to borrow an air compressor and then a shop-vac, neither of which were available. I suggested that he use canned air. He went out to his truck and found a pressure tank that worked. After he was done he showed me the dirt that he had cleaned out which he had blown on the kitchen floor. The refrigerator appeared to be working normally so I paid him (he did have an efficient system for using charge cards). Then he left and never cleaned up his mess.
