Chris was on time and very friendly when he arrived to give us our estimate. He was really excited and enthusiastic about our project and helped us sort through the different options as far as unit sizing. His estimate was very fair and he left us with a high confidence level that these were the guys to do the job. The price was the best.The installers were meticulous and very professional and took their time to ensure the install was done to my expectations. These are my new HVAC guys for any future work or servicing on any of my systems!

Chris was outstanding.  Our furnace went out and he came out on Black Friday to look at it and give us a quote for a new unit.  He  was able to get our new unit quickly and the price was quite reasonable.  The technicians that came to install were prompt, friendly and very detailed with the work.  We would absolutely use DFH again in the future.

Donald F Hinkebein is his last name and it's his initials. They were terrific. They were great. They really were above and beyond the call of duty. It was in the dead of winter. I have congestive heart failure. So it was very bad. If he hadn't got that fixed, I would have had to go to the hospital. He climbed up on the roof and did all kinds of stuff. It had frozen up on the roof. We never had that in Louisville. I'm 84 and I never saw weather like that. That man was good. Really, I mean I would have had to go to the hospital. I appreciate them so much. I wrote a letter right away about that, that how much I appreciated that. I can't speak highly enough for those people. It is family owned and I really sent a letter and praised them right away. They're certified trained in all that kind of stuff. Their service man got up on the roof and it was frozen. I can't tell how bad the weather was and with congestive heart failure if you get too hot or too cold you just have to go to the hospital. There wasn't anything else I could do. So he saved me a trip to the hospital. So I'm very grateful to him. He was polite, clean, neat and efficient. I recommend them to everybody. I would tell anybody how great they were and how good they were to me because they kept me out of hospital.

Was a real advantage to not need to coordinate two contractors.

Overall DFH did well. Even though it took three trips to identify the problem, it had been several years since the furnace has been maintained. The workers were respectful and did what they were asked to do. My only problem was during the last visit, a motor had to be replaced that was more than $300. I was not notified and came home to a large bill I wasn't expecting. The owner of the company called to verify everything was fixed and apologized. However, it is fixed and running well. I would use them again, but have the furnace serviced more often to prevent this type of large bill.

It went pretty well. They were courteous and professional.

The gas company found a leak in the control valve of the furnace while perfoming service on our gas meter.  After calling DFH they were here within 24 hours to do the repair.  We had a 2:30 appointment and they did not arrive until 4:30.  The repair tech was very professional and quoted a price of $349 after an extensive check of the system.  He had the necesarry parts on his truck and the repair was completed in about an hour.  Upon presenting the invoice he had disciounted it to $299 and stated he was supposed to charge a $50 diagnostic fee, but that he waived it due to the gas company having already diagnosed the problem.   Very pleased with the service.

DFH replaced a capacitor on a heat pump.They were excellent in working with my schedule.They did a good job at a fair price.I would call them again.

In the early morning, I noticed a brief, but unusual hum coming from the vicinity of my furnace.  After determining that no air flow was coming from the vents in my house even though my fan was supposed to be running, I called DFH to determine if a service call needed to be performed.  The gentleman on the phone had me explain my observations and recommended that I shut my system down until they could send out a repairman.  He advised that they would come out the same day of my call and most likely in the morning, which I was thankful to hear since it has been very hot and humid.  Sure enough I got a call a couple of hours later (around 9:30 am) that a service truck was on the way to my house.  They arrived around ten and quickly determined that the blower motor in my furnace had died and needed to be replaced.  An hour later, my furnace had been repaired and the temperature was back to normal.  Overall this was a very positive experience and I was very thankful for the prompt service call and repair, which minimized my concerns for my family's comfort and safety on a very hot day.

A DFH repairman fixed my air conditioning unit.  Three days later my ac was cooling inefficiently again.  The repairman was very capable and friendly, but the  DFH office  personnel were unpleasant/rude.  I requested that they give me a couple hour window for my 2nd service call appt so I wouldn't be house-bound the entire day.  She refused with an irritated tone and said company policy would only allow a 30min call prior to the service call.  Even narrowing the time to am or pm would have been appreciated.  So, if you have a lot of spare time and don't mind having a limited schedule, then DFH is the company for you.  And don't forget your thick skin if you too are met with a snippy tone while making your appt.  I will not be recommending the DFH Company to anyone in the future.

1. Great!  Wonderful people.  Family owned and operated.  This is the second time they have installed for us.  First time was an air conditioner. 

The scheduling was prompt and effiecient.

We renovated a 70 yr old house DFH provided the advice on what and how to heat and air condition our house.  We moved the system from one that was in a hall closet with vents in the floor to the attic with wall and ceiling vents. It works great.  We enclosed a screened in porch and Chris figured out how to get heat to the new room.  The house is evenly conditioned throughout.  DFH knows their business.  The staff was professional, responsive and timely. The original estimate was the final bill.

The salesman was very friendly, and he didn't try to pressure us into a decision.  Furthermore, the installers were very personable, the installation went smoothly, and we were happy with the pricing.  Ultimately, everything went well.

I was very pleased with the installation.  They had great customer service follow up as well.

They are very good. I can depend on them. Everything they do is just right and works out for us. We feel safe with them.
