CLOSETS BY DESIGN

They came to measure 2 weeks. The individual they sent out was very nice and very knowledgeable. We discussed additional concepts, but declined because their regular prices seem high. They are coming Monday to install our design. They haven’t called back to verity the appointment yet though.

Everything went very well. They were very busy with the number of specials that they sold. I had to wait awhile. That was okay because I bought the closet towards the end of the special. They kept to the time line that they said they would. All of the representatives of the company were very nice and polite. From the sales woman that came to my house to help me plan out my closet, to the men who installed it, they were all very professional. They all asked me what it was I needed and showed me many options on what I can do. Now I can finally hang something up.

It's okay. I ended up purchasing more. It was fine. The additional purchases required really can mix up the little products. It's a little misleading. Their ability to answer questions or concerns were good. They knew their stuff.

Initially sent an email addressing the ad on Angie's List to see if they serviced my area...within the hour received a response, which led to initial email correspondence until the appointment was created. Punctual, the designer showed up with all of her tools and submitted her report. The only flaw was the length it took to actually get the 'date' to install but that wasn't as bad as it may have seemed. The morning of the installation was right after an ice/snow storm and yet the installers arrived on time and worked until complete. Cannot say anything bad.

The designer and the installation people were all very good to work with. From the time that we ordered to the time the product was installed was about 7 weeks, but that was due to production and their order log. Everyone was very prompt to answer our questions and explain the options.

The service has been good so far. They haven’t installed the unit yet but they came as scheduled to take the measurements.

I had to pay 50% when I signed the contract for the closets. I was told I had to pay the other half by January 13th when they came to install the closets. I thought that seemed unusal, but I paid the balance so the work could be done. I was told they would be here between 8:00 and 8:30 on Monday, January 13th. They did not arrive until around 9:30 no earlier. They were upset, because the installers felt they were not give enough days to do the job. The first day they had to tear out and that is all they could do that day. The next day they came around 9:30 again to install and started all closets at the same time. They left around 3:30 so they could get back to the shop to prepare what theh needed for the next day. They same two guys came back on Wednesday to complete the job only to let me know they were not going to get finished. They had not put backing on all the walls, because they informed me the only place they put backing was were shelves, drawers, and hanging rods go. I had paid for it to go all over. I called the designer, Jennifer and she came over and said she did not realize that and she would get a painter in to fix the places where there was no backing where shelves had been torn out. |Then the installers told me they had another job on Thursday and would not be back until Saturday. I had paid for my job and to me they should finish my job, before going anywhere else. I was in a mess and I called the designer and I left her a message that I thought my job should be finished before another job should be started. I told her I was going to call my Credit card company and dispute the charge. We then started texting one another about my job. Finally I received a call the next morning that if I would be there the lead guy would be over in 30 minutes. I told them to have him come over. He came around 9:00 and left at 4:45. They sent someone else on Friday to finish a couple things that he did not have with him. They came out and were finished in no time. On Monday, January 20th the painters came and were here 3 hours. They did a great job and were very professional. When I had someone come and clean the dust off the shelves, etc. They showed me one area was not even anchored to the wall and that some shelves were not even |level. I am getting someone else to anchor the area that was not done. I really don't want to have to go through dealing with having someone come back. The designer, Jennifer never followed up again with me or checked to see if I was satisfied with my job. I was told she was new, but that is no excuse. You should always follow up with your customer, especially considering all that happen on the job. Word of mouth is your best or worst advertising. This is my only bad experience with a company that Angie's List has rated good.

They were awesome. I called them to get more shelving for the one that I already had and then I called them this morning to cancel it. I plan on buying another Deal for another closet and it was a big saving, too. They were very professional. He gave me some ideas we hadn't thought about. The designer was a million. The installers got to the job and cleaned up after themselves. Everything was pristine. I really enjoyed the experience. It took so many weeks for them to cut the closets. The designer came out pretty quickly and design the closet. But it was in a timely manner. I went with a very simple design but it works, it's so awesome. I was really surprised. I had those storage boxes which makes it very organized and very neat and tidy. It just gives me so much more space. This closet can hold in twice as much as it did before. From what I compared for the cost in big box stores, that was very economical and I also don't have to do the work. I was really happy. The money was very well spent. I didn't have a problem handing over that at all. There wasn't any sawdust, it was like it's always been there. They were nice guys. They got the work done and got out.

Awesome! Will be using them again in the future to remodel our Master Bedroom closet.

Working with Tarrah was great from the start. She showed up on time for the estimate and left me with a quote/design that I could share with my husband. The next day I called with a few small changes (no problem!) and scheduled an install date. When I stopped by the showroom in Westport Village (to pick out hardware and verify wood color), Michele was so friendly and helpful. The two gentlemen who did the installation did an excellent job. They were clean, neat and very professional. Working with Closets by Design was the easiest part of our master bedroom/bathroom renovation. We LOVE our new closets. I am anxious to do some additional renovations to our house and work with Tarrah and company again!

Tarrah was my designer, and she did an excellent job. I could not be happier with my closets. She took an awkward hall closet and maximized the space. The bedroom closet turned out great also. I would definitely recommend Tarrah and Closets By Design.

Working with Tarrah was great -- she promptly drew designs and gave us quotes; she was very professional and easy to work with; she answered questions promptly; and she was very accommodating with special, last minute requests -- she tried to find answers and solutions rather than saying "no" ; Michelle was great to work with on scheduling and Michael and Dwayne did a great job installing. Everyone involved in the project was very professional. I gave price "good" because it is more expensive than doing it yourself but you are paying for expertise, experience and service. Prices were comparable or better than competitors. Look for coupons that are often found in Valpak.

Initially worked with another closet company - after 3-4 weeks we only had a hand drawn design and no quote. First company could not provide design with center island in closet. We called Closets by Design - they were out the next day, took measurements, and had detailed computer printed design and quote for review. The design INCLUDED the center island in master closet. Tarrah discussed different material, finish color, drawer, basket, and other options to best meet how we were going to use the spaces. Price was within our budget and provided the specific features we wanted. The other company didn't come close. The installation was scheduled, completed on time, no issues with installation vs design. All materials and workmanship are high quality.

Installation of garage system went through a few iterations due to reviewing designs to see what would work best. Visited show room several times to see materials and to make selections. The installation itself went really well. They did a nice job, did some additional trim work to work around some existing garage structure/electrical items, and cleaned up after themselves. Similar experience with the kitchen pantry. Removed and hauled away old system in the pantry and installed a system that was a bit more functionally and provided ample storage space for canned/boxed goods; included some pull out wire basket type drawers and tilted shelve for certain canned goods. Provided additional storage that is more organized.

The company came out to my house and spent a lot of time designing out the spaces, then refined the design and sent it to me to review. I scheduled another design session with them and got the look to exactly what I wanted. They installed the garage over two days, and I had 4 issues with the results that they immediately fixed to my satisfaction. The garage looks great, and there is a lot of storage space that I did not have before. The 4 closets took 2 days to install and they did a great job on those as well. They were always punctual, very professional, and really displayed a high degree of craftsmanship in their work. When a cabinet was not going to fit quite right, they called me with 3 options on how they could fix it. They didn't just say, "Oh, well, this is how it was designed and built". I would recommend this company to anyone that wants quality storage put into place. I probably should have gotten a competing bid, and would recommend that. I believe that I got a fair price on the service and products that were installed; but believe it could have been a little less had I had another competing company involved.

Amelia Presler follows a project from beginning to end so the clients have a point person for questions and concerns throughout the project.

Our designer, Jennifer, listened to our needs. She also asked our son what he wanted out of his closet. The new design stores his toys, clothes, belts, shoes, etc very efficiently. My son finds it easy to put his things away and I no longer find the toys all over the floor in his room.

Unless a customer is willing to conform to their schedule, I would by-pass this vendor.

Everything went just as they had promised, they were always prompt and the quality was good.

We just bought a home and the closet is one thing we wanted to fix up. I made an appointment that was convenient for me. They arrived on time and was very professional. She measured the closet and provided me with 3 different quotes containing different options I could choose from varying in price- the basic to the complete top of the line. She brought her own computer so it was very personalized. I have a basic 5x5 master closet. The quotes ranged from $1400.00 to $2700.00. That includes install and taxes thought. There were no hidden fees. I've put this project on the back burner for now but probably call them to do the work when the time comes.

I chose another vendor due to price. Closets by design was professional and the examples looked good. I had considered using this vendor.

She was great! She brought her computer and was able to show me different measurements and designs for the project, which was really cool.
