The sales associate was very professional, friendly, and showed up on time as promised.  He also called and confirmed the appointment one day prior.

Overall, we were very satisfied with how he conducted himself.   Unfortunately, his original price quote was over four times the cost of a local competitor in the area.

He tried lowering his cost by 2/3; however, his final price quote was still $1500 higher than a competitor.

Overall, I was still satisfied by how he handled the negotiation.   If it doesn't work out with his competitor, I'll definetly call Champion Windows back for reconsideration.

At first it seemed all was going well the builder seemed to know what he was doing and told me that this was his second one on his own which made me feel a little uneasy. Well as you would have it they got the walls up and part of the ceiling and I asked the question where is the heater/AC unit going? They reply was you do not have a AC unit being installed in this unit. I Stated yes I do, then the builder looked at my contract and said I guess you do but now we have a problem, the unit will not fit with these type of walls , my supervisor must have given us the wrong blueprints, let me call him and see what we can do. I was told the best they could do was to put in a window unit to make up for the mistake, I said fine then I also want a deck put on to compensate for your mistake, the supervisor stated that the deck I wanted them to build was to big to make up for their error and he would not do that for free. I stated then take down these walls and build me what I am paying for I am not spending 37',000 dollars to have a window AC. Supervisor stated I can't do that. I said then build me my deck! Supervisor said I will get you a price, I said no you either give me the deck to compensate or tear it down and start all over. He then instructed his workers to tear it down. After they finished the sunroom on June 16 th I returned home to find wood pieces still all in my yard and cigarette butts from their smoking, during one part of the construction they were observed messing around and one worker was trying to set the other worker pants on fire with a lighter. One of the workers was more interested with what was going on with his phone, constantly on it. While inspecting the finished product as they left it I became even more upset as the chalk job they did all around the inside was terrible my 2 year old grand niece could have done a better job, dirty hand prints all over the ceiling, missing screws, area's that had been messed up were chalked over to hide the mistake, I did a water test on the side of the room on the outside and found that it leaked so I had to call the flooring company to move the install to a different date. I contacted Champion to express my concerns and they sent the crew back out a couple of days later to strip off the caulk job and redo, and clean the ceilings and fix the leak. Finally they completed the job to the best of their ability and it looks a lot better then they left it In the first place however the cleaning solution they used to clean up their chalk job took the finish off the cover of the Heater/AC unit so the worker stated he would be back with a new cover to replace. On June 23 I tested the outside with water again and could not find any leaks so looks like I can get the flooring installed on Monday. My goodness had I known I was going to have to go thru all this I would have just left my deck on or went with the competitor. Can't wait to finally get this behind us

Our original appointment had to be rescheduled due to weather; however, when we called t reschedule, they offered to come out that day! Everyone on the crew was polite & willing to work around our toddler's schedule (they did her window first so we could still get her down for a nap in time). Even though the job had to carry over to another day, the work was completed in a neat & timely manner. We were thoroughly impressed & pleased with the final results!

Bad communication. They waited 10 weeks to say the cannot make the window as sold. Agreed to put their window in my frame. They pulled my frame out, and installed to opening without vinyl core to save energy. Bait and switch!

At first all went well. The salesman was nice and I thought we were going to get a great product. The window installation manager came to measure the windows had made a few chauvinist comments, but I let that slide and laughed them off. Then a week or so before they got started on the windows I get notice that they cannot get the shake siding that I had picked out.  I decided that I would go with a wood siding that I would have put on later by another contractor. They were to refund me the price of the shake siding which I was told it was expensive when I selected it, but it would up being only $1500. Not as expensive as I was led to believe or I wasn't refunded the full price. Then when they showed up to move the door and install the windows, they were supposed to have a contractor move the plug in the hall.  They never scheduled this and I would up having to move the plug myself (here's to hoping the house doesn't catch fire...). The installing crew was very nice. After they left I got to looking and found two major issues.  The first was the window that was put in place of the doors that we moved. It came from the "bone yard" and I was told by the salesman that it would be perfect in our older home with five foot windows. It was an awful 3 foot tall and 6 foot wide sliding window that looked like it came out of a drive up liquor store - stuck in a hole that held a set of wood French doors on the front of the house! We asked for 5 foot tall windows, not this atrocity. The second problem was another window that was mounted flush with the inside wall rather than being centered in the casing. Who mounts windows like that - I couldn't hang a blind.  I called and complained and was basically told to live with it. I had to get my husband involved and wound up paying another $700 for them to come back out and fix the mess.  The salesman knew that the drive up window from the boneyard wouldn't match the rest of the windows. It was even supposed to have grids and didn't. I feel like he was looking for someone to pawn a junk window on. Not to mention that I paid for that junk boneyard window and it was smashed when it was removed on the second go around. So I am out the cost of that window (must have been $6500 based on the cost after the shake was refunded!) plus having to pay more for more windows. And the window installation manager telling me that I should just mount blinds directly on the wall rather than they doing the job correctly and the window being centered in the casing is unacceptable! As far as the sunroom, the installation went well.  I have had to have them come out and adjust the doors so that they will lock and they need adjusting again.  I believe I may be able to do this. I have noticed that they are sweating though and there are holes drilled in the outside flashing at the bottom like it was mis-drilled and instead of getting a new piece of trim, the installer flipped it over and drilled a second set of holes for the screws. I can already see this filling up with ants and water and leading to bigger problems down the road.  I would call and complain - but why bother. After spending nearly 30 grand with these guys, you would think I wouldn't have so many problems or have to deal with their people basically telling me to live with it!

I liked working with the sales man (Nate) who was very familiar with the product lines; I was able to select doors that matched the style of my house both inside and out.  The installers came exactly when they said they would, and spend most of the day putting in the doors. They were careful and skillful - managed to remove and re-apply the inside door molding without any damage at all. They were efficient and tidy, and cleaned up well when they were done. Overall I am very pleased - it was an expensive project, but ultimately I think the perfect fit, the insulation factor (a warmer room this winter will be nice!) and the known quantity that is "Champion" will be worth it.

We visited the Champion Window showroom after purchasing a deal. While there, we found that the sun room options were not in line with our design standards. Everything shown to us looked very generic and didn't blend well into the house into which it was built. We decided to go with another contractor.
