Brakeway

It went well. They did a good job, and did what they said they would. They did it all in a timely manner. I trust them, and would definitely use them again.

My car smelled of cigarette smoke when I picked it up. It also took them about 4 hours to complete a simple brake pad job.

I had front and rear brakes serviced. They got me right in and changed them in a reasonable amount of time. The brakes didn't feel quite right so I brought the car back in a few days later and a technician rode with me. He said that it was normal for my brakes to rub and depress as far as they did. After I was told that I decided that I didn't want these people to work on my car again because they didn't know what they were talking about. Grinding brakes is not a normal sound. They advertise cheap brakes. You get what you pay for.

Never go there.  They changed the pads and the rotors in the back on my car.  1 week after the service, my brakes were chirping a on the front end.  They said the chirping was from warped rotors in the front and they needed to be changed also.  I don?t know how they could have missed this when they were changing my brake pads.

I took it to two other places for other opinions, and they noted that Brakeway did poor work and failed to reinstall the shims after switching out the brake pads in the front.  I am still trying to get Brakeway to correct the issue.

When I went to take my car back for the chirping, another gal was walking in at the same time I was taking my car back with a receipt in hand.  I asked her why she was coming in.  She said she just had her car here and it is still making noise.

Everything was great - price, professionalism, quality of product.

Brakeway does nothing but brake work and seems to be on a "first come, first served" basis.  The shop has a bare bones waiting room with a single person running the desk.  However, that person is well-informed and handles each situation thoroughly and completely. The entire procedure was well-explained. I requested an inspection.  After waiting for a while, my car had its turn.  The diagnosis was identical to the one I'd received at another place but the cost for repairs was considerably less expensive.  It was found that I had 90% capacity in the front brakes, but only 15% in the rear.  I asked for and received a total repair of the rear brakes. Again, the process was thoroughly outlined for me and all questions were answered.
 I chose to have the work done immediately and was given an estimate of the time it would take.  I left the shop for a while, but my car was not ready at the appointed time so I called my husband to come for me and left the shop.   When I returned a couple of hours later (I allowed plenty of time), it was ready.  The bill was rendered at the quoted price..
