Ashcroft & Oak Jewelers

Son took the wedding ring back to Ashcroft & Oak.  They couldn't/wouldn't fix it, so son requested refund, but they refused that too.  The only thing they offered would require him to choose another ring, and they would take $1,000 off of that one, but they did not have a wedding ring similar to the one he bought, or that he liked and wanted to wear for the rest of his life, so he requested a refund so he could go somewhere else to buy a wedding ring.  The original ring was purchased on store credit, and now they're demanding payment for the ring, even though they have refused to do anything to correct the situation and they actually have the ring in their possession.  Son has been trying to get issue resolved for almost 3 months!  Salesperson who sold him the ring no longer works there!   Son was told he has to talk to District Manager but they won't give him DM's name and number!  If he doesn't pay for ring it will mess up his credit but they won't work with him!  What is he supposed to do?  They sold him a defective ring, they don't stand by their product, and they have not made a good faith effort to resolve the problem and refund his money.  No newlywed, or any other customer, should have to go through this hassle!  Now he has no wedding ring, no resolution, and potentially messed up credit!
