Tom Stinnett Electric

Description of Work: I retained Tom Stinnett Electric to place 2 outdoor, 110 volt post lights on a new stone wall in front of house and 6 low voltage landscape lights in the garden also in the front of the house. He could never clearly understand how to wire this very simple project. He kept changing the price for the job, how long it would take and how many men he would have to bring over to complete the work. On Monday October 24, 2011 he started work at 9:15AM with himself and three other workers. They finished the work and left at noon. I had already laid out the wiring and the 6 landscape lights. They buried the cables, attached the 6 Malibu lights and installed 2 junction boxes. The night before he quoted me $500 for the entire job. My wife was a witness to the conversation. This ALSO included a charge of $85 to install 2 post lights which I had not purchased yet. This was to be done later once we had bought the lights.On the night of October 24, 2011 he came to the house and DEMANDED a check for $700 which I reluctantly gave him. We had been discussing another wiring project on our back deck but after this experience I told him I would never deal with his company again.
