I heard about them from friends and co-workers. They sold me a very good mattress. The thing about them that I like is their in home delivery and that I do not have to flip the mattress. I can sleep very well on the mattress. I would use them again in the future.

I bought my mattress direct from Temer Pedic. I bought the type that raises the feet and head. Their service was very good. They delivered it on time. They took the mattress back twice, to make sure I was happy. They took the time to answer all my questions. One time, the package was ripped, and the mattress was dirty. They gave me a terrific financing option. I only have to pay a little over $100 per month for 4 years, with no interest. I know it's a expensive, but I really wanted that mattress! I am thinking of buying a least one more!

I had it for two years, and it was sinking. I had to roll out of bed, that’s how bed it was. The mattress never sprung back. In order to get a replacement, you have to take it off the bed, go through a process to take photos of it, and deal with Tempur Pedic instead of the salesman or company that you bought it from, and they should just send a salesman to take care of it. In the end, I went through three mattresses, and after the third failure I called to get my money back, which I did get back (minus one of the bases) after a lengthy process and necessary calls to the BBB. It was not what they said, because they advertise to make you think it is Tempur Pedic foam, but really the top layer is the memory foam and the majority is the egg crate.

They are well aware of these problems and it is not in their advertising. Their 90 day warranty only applies if you buiy a mattress directly from them and not from a store. They do not honor their warranty if you buy it from a retailer. This is deceptive advertising. Sleep County USA is complicit in this becuase they allow you to buy the mattress knowing that the warranty says there are no product returns. It negates what is in the Tempur-Pedic ad.
Description of Work: A year ago May we purchased a queensize Tempur-Pedic bed from the Jantzen Beach Sleep Country USA store in Portland, Oregon. We mentioned that we use an anti-allergy type mattress cover and a mattress pad but were told by the sales person that use of these items would negate the warranty on the bed, that only the ProteQueen mattress cover (for $120.00) could be used. We went ahead with the purchase but were shocked and dismayed to find that the mattress emitted an extremely strong and repugnant chemical odor. I called the store and was told that it wasn't dangerous and would dissipate in a few weeks. I washed the sheets and pillow cases several times a week but it was no help. When I called the store again they pointed out that the purchase receipt (printed out after the purchase was made) indicated that there were no returns or exchanges. I then contacted Tempur-Pedic and they suggested that we put a heavy blanket or mattress cover on the bed. We did this but the odor was still very strong and the bed, which we were told we would have to "break in" was so squishy that my back and hip problems were worse than every. I contacted Tempur-Pedic again and was told that the room temperature should be kept between 65 and 72 degrees. Our automatic thermostat lowers the house temperature to 65 degrees after 10:00 p.m. and further, we sleep with our windows open so our room is cooler than that, but body temperature is 98 degrees and I cannot imagine that this mattress is not sold in Southern parts of the U.S. where temperatures are much warmer. Tempur-Pedic advertises that they have a 90-free trial and money-back guarantee but in their communications with us they said that the warranty is up to the store of purchase. Nowhere in their ubiquitous ads is there any mention of the strong odor emitted by the foam used in this mattress, nor is there any mention that body and room temperature can make the mattress much less firm, nor that you MUST break in the mattress. I have since heard from others who have slept on these mattresses that they are VERY, VERY warm and squishy. Something must be done about forcing Tempur-Pedic to reveal these adverse characteristics of the bed. Tempur-Pedic did offer to replace the bed stating that the bed be bought was probably defective, but I do not want to have to go through dealing with that ghastly odor again or "breaking in" the bed. I would like to have them pick up the bed and give me a refund. Even a 50% refund would be better than nothing. My recommendation is that unless you have no problem dealing with foul odors and unless you like sleeping in a very squishy soft bed and/or sleeping in a frigid room, that you stay away from buying this mattress.
