Lexington Chimney Sweep

I recently moved and assumed the chimney needed to be cleaned. The sweep arrived on time and inspected the chimney from the inside and outside (even though the weather was bad). He took pictures and made recommendations on what to look for and what did and did not need to be done--which included having the chimney swept. He said there was not enough build-up to warrant a cleaning. Honesty is a great quality in contractors. He also took the time to explain his recommendations and why he made them. I learned a lot about how the air flows in a home. He definitely knew his field. I would highly recommend him.

Greg was very knowledgeable, neat and professional. He answered every question thoroughly. I learned a lot about the use of my ventless gas logs including that my old log set was very well made and so I decided not to waste money replacing them.

Greg is incredibly knowledgeable on chimney/fireplace maintenance. He was very informative and helpful, and we will continue to use his business to service our chimney and 2 firelplaces. He was on-time, and he beat Barnhill Chimney by about $150. Our fireplaces look great. He was totally professional.

It went great. Greg is an absolute professional and exceptionally knowledgable in his craft. He showed up on time on a Thursday and inspected all three of the chimneys at our home. Only one of our chimneys needed to be cleaned, and it needed it badly. He took several pictures and showed my in detail how one of them was in immediate need of repair. He referred me to an experienced mason to get a bid on that.
The day that he did the inspections, it started raining pretty hard. Therefore, he came back the following Monday to do the cleaning and he was finished within 90 minutes. Super professional guy, very fair price. Will definitely use again.

Originaly called and left message. Call was returned shortly. Gave a phone estimate of between $125.00 and $350.00 Arrived at exactly the schedualed time. Explained what he would be doing. Laided out canves tarps and brought in a lot of equipment. Spent about 2hours working. When he was done he explained a couple of things about my stove and answered some questions I had. He was very knowlegable and profesional about everything. He cleaned everything up better than I had it when he started and all in all it was a very plesant experience.

An EXCELLENT experience! Greg came out the day I called. He got right to work and did a great job, plus he cleaned everything up afterwards. He explained a lot about heating with wood that I had no awareness of, which was very helpful as well...I highly recommend Gregs services, I am completely satisfied with the work, the promptness and the PRICE!

Greg showed up on time and had all the necessary equipment to complete the job. He was very thorough and took his time while getting everything clean. He made sure to cover the floor very well and when he was done, you couldn't even tell he had been here. He took out a large bag full of ashes and soot. He wrote an entire report and gave recommendations on future use, buying a new grate, carbon monoxide detectors, as well as other helpful hints. Greg was very friendly and professional!

Arrived on time, inspected fireplace, buck stove, and chimney. Showed us a few things we will need to get repaired in the future and also told us what products to use if we attempted to do it ourselves. I highly recommend him.

This service was great. The fellow fit me into his schedule, drove over
in inclement weather, was polite, knowledgeable and well worth the fee.
He explained what he did and how to operate my fireplace. I enjoyed my
first fire last night. I highly recommend him. I could tell by our
discussions that we really knew what he was doing. Highly recommended.

Bought a used house with a fireplace, and I'm not familiar with them.
Greg gave us a detailed report of the condition of the fireplace,
including pictures and some recommendations for outside maintenance.
(Including materials to use, where to buy them, and how to apply them. No selling
pressure, he didn't offer to do the work, just explained what should be done to prevent future issues.)
Cleaned and reseated the damper, and showed us how to use it properly.
Greg took his time, and was patient with my questions.
Said we can burn another 40 or so fires before a cleaning is necessary.
Would gladly recommend.

It went really well. Greg is very detailed and told us our chimney did not need cleaned (which, to be honest, we were surprised because it has not had a cap on it for over 30 years . . . so I am hoping he is right!). It does have quite a few repairs that need to be done, and he detailed that out for us. The only (minor) complaint is that he didn't tell me it would cost $65. If I would have known beforehand, it wouldn't have mattered as he did a great job and was very thorough. I was just under the assumption it was a free service he performed. Again, didn't mind paying it but it would have been nice to have known that up front. Would certainly recommend him to others for his detailed notes and punctuality!
