Phillips Waterproofing and Concrete

Kevin delivered what he promised. He and his crew were on schedule at a fair price. They showed up on the day they said and completed the job quickly. They cleaned up the area better than most contractors when they were done.

Kevin and crew never showed up when they said they would. No call, nothing. I had to call him repeatedly to find out when they would show up, and only a couple days later did I get my answer. Completely unprofessional. Good luck trying to get a hold of this guy. My concrete now collects water in the middle because it is not level. Horrible job. No accountability either. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The guy was late on the project. There was no communication. Phone calls did not get returned. Showed up 3 days later and pushed my project back and caused massive problems with my project. It seems this guy is hit or miss based on other reviews. There are more trustworthy people than this guy. Good luck getting your phone call returned.

Shoddy work. Work came undone. Unprofessional. You can never get a hold of the guy Kevin, he either doesn't answer the phone or he lets his inbox get full so you can't leave a message. Would not recommend. He'll leave you high and dry.

Was supposed to get 48 hours notice before they started, we did not. The crew that showed up spoke little English so explaining things I wanted done were ignored. A section of the new sidewalk is where a tree stump was ground out, the wood mulch should have been dug out and replaced with nearby dirt but, that did not happen. That section of the walk is barely 3 inches thick in places. My metal detector picks up no sign of metal reinforcement. New window ledges were poured but, no one has returned to finish the windows as was noted on the description. My calls, texts and e-mails are ignored. They got paid (my 90 year old mother was home, they told her they were done so she paid them), and do not seem to care about anything else. Other aspects of the deal were off-putting as well. Could not find anyone local to do the job so went with who responded on Angis List. At least it is done ( for the most part). No , I would not recommend them.

Kevin and his crew where very efficient and professional , would recommend them for any concrete work.

If he just brought my battery that would be great, I have been calling since July 14th and still have no battery.

Great experience and easy to work with. No major issues that was not resolved on the spot. Went out of their to give my project what it needed to be a quality job. I would recommend them for all your flooring needs.

Very fast response time on the estimate and very fast response time after excepting the bid...They were very professional and did an excellent job....I'm not sure they could be outdone. GREAT JOB!

This company is very professional, responsive to questions, on time, their work is of the highest quality and the prices are very reasonable. The owner takes pride in his company's work. I would highly recommend this company for any and concrete foundation work.

Highly recommend them for concrete and block work. We used them for our doublewide mobile home footers and block installation plus the vapor barrier. We have already hired them for the concrete work we wanted next. Don't hesitate to get a quote! They drove an hour and a half to quote and do this job.

On time every day and worked late if necessary to get the job done before weather moved in.

Two years ago, Phillips Concrete replaced our porch and part of the sidewalk. The job was postponed several times. They would give me a date, but not show up or call. We signed the contract with them in July, but they did not do the job till December. It was sloppy, concrete was splashed all over the brick, it was not level, and was much too rough for a porch. Kevin Phillips came out and promised to make it right. Since it was now January, he said they had to wait for the weather to warmup. We were placed on the schedule in July. They did not show up or call and I had to call continuously to get another date scheduled. It was only when I told them that I was calling the Better Business Bureau that a crew was sent. They did not tell me they were coming and I was out of town. All they did was scrape some of the concrete from the brick. Kevin said they would be back to smooth the porch. Again, I would call monthly, they would promise an approximate date but no one would show up. The job was never completed. I DO NOT recommend this company.

They were very professional, did the job in less time than expected. everything I asked for was done. Had one small issue once they were gone, but they came back out the same day I called them about it and fixed the issue immediately.

They took months to complete, other than that they did a good job. Would not hire if I needed something done in time though.

Phillips Waterproofing was excellent. They were completely professional, prompt, courteous, and performed excellent work. The cost of the project was more than reasonable. I would not hesitate to use them again, and would definitely recommend them to others.

They did me an excellent job. Did me a better job with a much lower cost then another local company bid me.they went above and beyond what they said they would do. The system is working great

I can not recommend Phillips Waterproofing for your concrete needs. To be fair, they were helpful up and until concrete poured. Where they fall short is follow thru and completing the project. I have discoloration, saw lines incomplete, saw lines doubled and not straight, pits needing repair and fiber mounds needing amended. They are quick to request payment, slow to finish work. To date, still not complete after starting in January. After several calls and texts, they have become unresponsive.

Hired Phillips in May 2020, they said the work would be done in 6-8 weeks. The job itself would only take a few days but they needed to order a special door. i gave them a 10% down payment to get started and to buy the door. Instead of the job being finished in June. The kept saying they we're having problems with the door. In early August they said the were coming out to start the project, finally. We took off work to be home with the workers in case there was question. They never showed up or even called to tell us anything. I called but no one would answer, then finally a few weeks later they called with another start date in early September. They again no-showed, after that i called no answer, but then my wife called from another number and they answered the first ring (funny huh). She promptly fired them in early September, we couldn't take it any longer. In the call they agreed to refund our money minus the custom door. Come to find out the door wasnt ordered until late August they did even have an eta on the door when they scheduled the September start date. We finally got the custom door in late October, they pulled up and left it in our driveway in pieces. We're still waiting on a invoice to get the remaining part of our downpayment. I've been calling almost every week since October and still this isn't resolved. Its the end of December and we're still not done dealing with this company. This has been a horrible experience, i even told them if they would just refund me my money, i wouldn't leave this review. I would highly recommend NEVER using this company unless you want to be frustrated, lied to and you like not getting what you pay for. We're pretty sure the only way were going to get a refund is to take them to court.

I felt disrespected, I feel they do not think my time is important as they kept telling me they were coming and didn't show up or came out unannounced. I feel they are ignoring me as a customer.

The price quoted by the Salesman, Dylan, was a fair price; however, the labor performed did not meet that fair price. Some minor problems have occurred that I will repair myself. I was supposed to have broken blocks in the foundation of my porch replaced/repaired. Old broken pieces of stone/blocks were used and covered up by stucco. A crack has emerged and the place of repair is indented. The hole dug to repair my crack in the foundation has sunk six inches at the first rainfall, while this is to expected as the soil settles after being dug up, my wife voiced concerns that the dirt/clay was not properly filled in. The sealant in my garage started to crack along one wall because the epoxy solution was not mixed properly. After voicing concerns, I was told, I would be contacted after they got back to town. This seems to be a great company and I hope this was only a hiccup.

The work was started in May and was not completed until October 7th. I was told numerous times that he was going to complete the work. He never called me to tell me anything. The complaints Department at HomeAdvisor helped me resolve my problem. Lesson learned.

Finish work is very unprofessional, will not send me the warranty paperwork, so I do not have any warranty on the work completed. The project started two weeks late and now the paperwork for the warranty has been going on for over a month and still waiting even after being promised several times that he would take care of it in a couple of days. I would not recommend Phillips contractor to anyone. The pier system is only as good as the person installing it and if you do not keep your word which is in the contract then the project is never finished and the customer is not happy. A lot of money for a un warranty project. Should have gone with ram jack. instead of trying to support a local business.
