Cherry House has for years been our trusted go-to place for quality furniture, but this experience was disappointing. Our sales person was friendly and helpful, and when we didn't find what we were looking for in Sherrill, a brand we'd had good luck with, she steered us toward Smith Brothers. We eventually ordered a couch and loveseat from Smith Brothers and a chair from Sherrill. All of it came as scheduled and was delivered to us after a little more than 6 weeks. Unfortunately, the arms of the loveseat were not upholstered correctly: the fabric was stretched too tightly over the arms where it is secured with staples, so that the arms were noticeably bumpy. I sent an email with attached photo to Cherry House and they immediately agreed that the loveseat should never have left "there" looking like that - whether she meant Smith Brothers or Cherry House, I do not know, but clearly there were TWO lapses in quality control right there. Cherry House picked up the loveseat and shipped it back to Smith Brothers. We got the corrected loveseat back 9 weeks later. I know that Smith Brothers shuts down the week of July 4th, and our scheduled vacation delayed delivery as well, but I am not pleased that Cherry House did not seem to be in any way advocating for us: I believe our repair went to the back of the line, instead of the front; Cherry House did not make any calls on our behalf or call me with updates in that 2 months the loveseat was sitting at the Smith Brothers factory, our sales person did not respond to my emailed inquiries, we never received an apology for our inconvenience, and no one checked with us to make sure we were satisfied with the repaired loveseat. The whole experience left us feeling that no one really cared about our satisfaction after the final check was written. Note to Cherry House: a sincere apology would have done much to smooth our ruffled feathers. If we ever shop at your store in the future, we will be very careful to inspect for quality and very specific in asking for the level of service we feel should be provided.

It went very well. They helped us pick out exactly what we were looking for. They helped us find colors and designs. They delivered exactly what they said they were going to do. They even brought it in and set it up for us.
Description of Work: We got a custom leather recliner, custom love seat, and a custom full coach.

Description of Work: We shopped for leather living room furniture during their 1/2 holiday sale. The sales lady was friendly & helpful and the had nice stuff, but we felt even with the discounted prices it was too high.

They've got an enormous showroom. The only bad thing about the showroom is all of the stairs. For someone that can't get around too good, like my mom, it would be difficult for her. They don't have an elevator or anything. The showroom is well displayed. They have furniture that you don't see at Macy's or other big chains. It's different stuff. It's very nice quality stuff. They're very reasonably priced, I thought. Some things might be more expensive. If you're looking for quality furniture that you want to last for a number of years, this is the place to go. Dianne is the girl that I talked to. She's like an interior designer. She helped me figure out colors and fabrics for my chairs and sofa. I took pictures of my room and she kind of gave me some ideas, too. She's very good and I really liked her. When we bought our bedroom furniture, Mary Ellen helped us. She was very nice and helpful, as well. So it's not like you go back to the same person every time.
