Tim's Contracting

Started out great. Tim was very responsive, and we worked together to coordinate a schedule that was conducive to both parties. We came to an agreement of the work that needed to be performed and price to do said work ($9,100.00). Tim and his crew started the work and when he was wrapping up the job we walked through the property and discussed some trees that were missed (pictures attached). We decided that he would return to finish up at a later date due to his busy schedule and he asked that payment be made for the worked that he performed less $1,000.00. This was on August the 8th. I wrote him a check for $8,100.00 but told him I needed to transfer the money to my checking account before he could cash the check. Money was transferred and I texted him on August the 9th and told him to go ahead and cash the check. He did and payment was received. I did not hear back from him until September 25th by text & he stated that it was too wet to come out & he would follow up soon. I responded and said I would have a check ready for him for the remaining amount & asked him to give me a few days' notice so I would be around. Did not hear back from him, so I left a message in October, and he responded on November the 1st stating he got my voicemail, and he would follow up this week (he was finally getting caught up from storm stuff). I responded with a "Thumbs Up" by text. Did not hear back that week so I texted again on November the 15th inquiring on when he would return. No response. I called again & got text message back on December the 16th stating he had bicep surgery a few days ago & had been out of it but his guys were still working & he was hoping for dry conditions so he could bring back his big truck. I responded back & asked him to keep me posted so we could get on the same schedule & wished him good luck with his recovery. No response back. Have left voice messages and two additional text messages with him & still no response. I have a very busy schedule and do not have time to constantly get this resolved. I appreciate that Tim is a small business owner with a small crew and is juggling a lot of different jobs. (Screenshots of text messages are attached). He seems to be a decent man, and I have taken that into account & have been way beyond patient. I just want him to do what he said he would do & stand behind his word. I reached out to Angi initially in hopes of finding a contractor that would do a good job & be reliable. It stated out that way but has not proven to be true. I am hopeful that Angi will be able to work with Tim & myself to get this work completed and demonstrate that Angi is a trustworthy source for homeowners to use when and not merely a company that charges contractors a fee to be on their website and doesn't care about the services they provide. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing back with your thoughts and action plan to move forward.

Tim’s crew came on time and with no drama set to taking down a massive tree. They had it down fast and carefully, taking all the debris with them. Efficient, professional, and pleasant to work with. We will use him again.

The tree was cut down and stump grinded-a lot of debris from stump left in yard My yard has war wounds from equipment and Vehicles. My driveway was cracked from the heavy equipment. Tim used a filler/patch material and it looks bad. It wasn't damaged before his equip sit on it. My chain length fence gate is warped. It has had issues because it's old but it was never warped like it is now.

I hired this guy after he came by and looked at what I needed done. Agreed on the cost. Then he replied to one text like he was still coming. Then he just disappeared and didnt reply, not even to say he couldnt do it anymore. Nothing. During this process I waited a month+ and finally decided to hire someone else.

Tim and his crew are the hardest working group of guys I have ever had the pleasure of hiring. Cut down a 40 yr old Bradford Pear and ground down the stump. Excellent work at a fair price. Cleaned up everything before they left. They will be first call for any future jobs I have!

Amazing prices. He quoted $1200 less than the other contractors. Wasnâ t afraid to get in there and work with his guys either. 10/10 recommend.

They were the only company that I contacted that would do the job of cutting down a giant tree in a reasonable time and price. It feels like a lot of businesses will only talk to LLCs and large estates these days. I highly recommend if you want a job done and donâ t want to take out a second mortgage for removing some trees!

Tim showed up when promised and provided a quote. The other two contractors I contacted failed to show. Tims estimate was what I thought very reasonable. Tim had an opening on Friday and he and his crew showed up that morning. The crew had the job almost complete when the stump grinder broke. They let me know they would have to come back the next day. As promised, they showed up and completed the job. Very professional, great price and thorough work. Would definitely use again.

Timâ s Contracting did a great job staying in touch and answering all of our questions. Job and cleanup were smooth and great. A couple pieces of our fence got broke in the process by accident and they fixed it without hesitation. Definitely worth the wait!
