About us

FREE Written Estimates! No Money Down Contractor! Celebrating 16 years in business! A New Rooftime began in 1996, when Ricky and Sandy Feltner started a small family business that they operated out of their home. By 1999, Ricky's company (Preferred Roofing), had grown large enough to include his son, daughter, son-in-law, along with some terrific work crews. Together the company earned a ranking in R.S.I. magazine's Top 100 Contractors in America (Oct 1998) Ricky passed away at the end of 1999, and the company struggled to carry on without his dynamic leadership. Today Ricky's legacy has been preserved by no less than five roofing contractors that were once part of his vision, all successfully operating their own companies using the same principles and ideals he established over 15 years ago! At Rooftime, Sandy's daughter Missy still answers the phone (even at nights and on the weekends) and Ricky's grandson Justin is now an Owens Corning certified Roofing and Insulation Inspector! A New Rooftime is a true family owned and operated business with deep community roots; over fifteen year's business experience, and is now into their third generation of serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. A New Rooftime has been certified by Owens Corning as a "TOP OF THE HOUSE" professional. The company attends annual training certifications to keep current with VENTILATION, INSULATION, RADIATION and how they affect roofing shingles and property values. A New Rooftime exclusively sells and installs the Owens Corning line of roofing and insulation products. In addition to being experts at roof repairs, new roof installations and attic insulation, their other services include professional SKYLIGHT repair and installation using the VELUX brand, as well as chimney repairs and Box gutter repairs. Estimates are free and include an attic inspection & color digital pictures of what the estimators find. A New Rooftime utilizes all the best of today's technology such as thermal imaging cameras to pinpoint hidden leaks and decay, and satellite measurement software to offer 'to the inch measurements" for "to the penny pricing'. Visit www.time2roof.com or call Miss Mona at 513.753.TIME (8463) to get a free inspection of your roof, attic insulation, skylight, and chimney or gutter system.

We called Rooftime and they came out and gave us several quotes. They were creative in finding a solution to our animal damage. Their pricing beat out several competitors (we initially received three bids). Dale went out of his way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted (going over pictures of the downspouts with my husband). They came out and finished the job in 2 days. We are very happy with the results!

The process went very well. They were very open with their quote and took the time to explain everything, allowing me to ask questions along the way. I felt like I had options on getting my new roof without them trying to up sell me on items that were not mandatory. They called me in the morning saying they had an opening in their schedule since someone just moved their appointment and were able to complete my roof all in one day, which was pretty amazing considering they did a tear off. I was pleased with the speed and quality of their work. I also liked that they didn't have to park a huge dumpster in my driveway since parking is tight on my street to begin with. A New Roof Time came highly recommended on Angie?s List and I agree with bestowing a strong endorsement of their services.

I had a new roof installed 2 years and we had a skylight removed. When the skylight was removed it was just covered with plywood and then shingles and patched from the inside. I was very impressed by the tools that this company used to monitor the temperature changes throughout our house. The tool instantly picked up on this patched area and I could visibly see the difference in temperature. They were excellent to work with. They called yesterday as they said they would to confirm our appointment. The guys have been very professional, clean and orderly. Their van got stuck in our driveway because neither by husband or I were able to shovel. One of the workers went and got salt and spread it on the driveway for us. The job took them longer to complete than expected but they did a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend them to others.
Description of Work: They installed 4 in of blown in insulation into our attic to bring it up to a rating of R60.

It was a perfect job! The owner's son arrived on time to give me an estimate; he was very thorough -- he climbed into hard-to-reach areas that other contractors had ignored; he took the time to educate me on the entire process so I could make an intelligent decision; he was willing to patiently answer all my questions; he provided me with an estimate the same day. The price was a little higher than other contractors but I felt it was well worth it. The owner's son and his assistant arrived on time to install the insulation; half-way through the job the owner himself came to my home to oversee their work and he saw some holes in the roof and fixed them for me at no charge. They had some extra insulation so they used it to bring the insulation level up to R-60 in several places, also at no extra charge. They finished the job within 5 hours as promised. They removed all debris and swept the garage before leaving. Also, they were very pleasant. A real joy! Two days later, the owner called me to find out if I was satisfied. Later he dropped off the Owens Corning rebate forms and the invoice for the supplies and explained how to get the rebate on my tax return. This company could teach other companies about how to treat customers!
Description of Work: Prepared attic for installation of new insulation over the existing insulation; installed 40 soffitt baffles to prevent vents from getting clogged; installed 9 can light covers over existing light fixtures to prevent possible fires; fabricated 1/4" rigid insulation board around hatch-way and furnace to fence them off from insulation; installed 9" of AttiCat Expanding Blown-In Pink Fiberglas to the level of R-49.

I had interviewed several roofers over several years. I finally made a decision to go with Rooftime this summer - they truly stood out above the rest in their qualifications and their price. I waited until the cooler temperatures of fall to actually sign the contract. They arrived on Thursday and finished on Saturday. They needed more shingles than was in the contract but ate the difference and left me with the rest of the shingles in the pack. The crew & team leader was very professional and worked very efficiently together. They arrived at the expected time. The owner checked on the job every day and kept me informed of what was going on. They cleaned up as they went. At the end they did several passes of the yard and driveway with a magnet to pick up nails. The owner inspected the job and gave me his personal assurance that it was complete. He told me not to hesitate to call them back if I had questions about anything. I am very pleased not only with this job but with the various hints the owner gave me in general home maintenance. He seemed very customer oriented and very knowledgable during the entire bidding and installation process.
Description of Work: Rooftime tore off the old roof, replaced it with felt paper underlayment & architectural shingles, ridge vents & existing box vents and built a cricket. This was on a roof so steep that one roofer had declined to estimate the job. Rooftime also put in copper counter and drip edge trim for the bay window.

This is a good company to do business with and I would use them again. This is a family company and they go out of their way to make sure things are done right.
Description of Work: I purchased a best buy from angies list for this company to do an attic inspection to determine if I had adequate insulation. Like most attics I needed to add insulation to bring it up to R60 value. I was quoted a price that seemed reasonable and they refunded the $75 it cost me to sign up for this program. The job has been completed and things went well.

Justin, Dale and Missy were all great to work with. The quotation was detailed, explaining exactly what materials would be used and the work that would be performed. I had originally intended to do a nail-over, but decided to pay the $1400 extra for a tear-off. I'm glad I did, because they discovered a rotten section of OSB that had to be replaced. The large work crew seemed to work very well together, and they were finished by 2:00 in the afternoon. They helpfully re-installed the Amateur Radio antenna mast that I had previously removed. The new roof looks great, and I am convinced that it will stand the test of time and weather.

The technician performed an exceptional job and though the quote was out of our range, he agreed to write up a quote for just the repair portion of the job and not the added insulation that he suggested but did not require. I thought his honest assessment was something that would bring me back to that company when needed. Great work!
Description of Work: Inspected the attic and placed an insulated cover over the attic stair opening. Took thermal reading of the entire house and gave a recommendation of course of action. He suggested that we install hoods over the attic fan and the bathroom fan to channel moisture efficiently to the outside. He also suggested that we blanket an additional 4 inches of insulation to arrive at projected government energy guidelines.

Dale and his crew arrived at 8 am and immediately went to work. They took great care not to harm any landscaping around the house and even had one person dedicated to picking up debris around the propery throughout the entire day. They also removed 2 skylights and replaced them with eneregy efficient ones. While one crew was on the roof another was in the attic sealing any air leaks replacing vent baffles, installing 700 square feet of radiant barrier and adding 15 inches of insulation. The Rooftime crew went over and above their duty, were curteous and complely professional and finished by 5pm. My second floor rooms were extremely warm during the hot summer months, but since the added insulation and radiant barrier instalation they are quite comfortable. The second floor is only 3 degress warmer than the first floor. I am extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship of my new roof and energy efficient attic.

It turned out that the damage was very minor could be stopped simply by simply cleaning out the nearby gutter and better securing it. Dale went up on the roof and cleaned out the gutter and, ultimately, didn't charge me for the work. I asked Rooftime to give a roof repair estimate the same day because Dale pointed out the roof needed new shingles (which was not news to me, I had known it was coming). He didn't bat an eye at the request and started the estimate process. He answered all my questions and didn't make me feel silly for asking them. Very professional and prompt service. I would recommend them.

Justin came in and took ceiling temperature readings, measured attic dimensions, counted soffit baffles and measured current insulation thickness. The estimate also include cost to raise the R value even higher and garage door insulation options.

Response from A New Rooftime
Thank you for the kind words! This lady was very nice and we enjoyed meeting her and bidding her projects. While we know it would be impossible to get every job we bid, there are some people that are more fun to work for, because of how they treat other people, she falls into that category! So while we are sad not to get to work on her home, we are happy for her that her projects turned out well!

Rooftime was selected through a bid process, primarily because they were timely, professional and thorough in their bid, and their price was competitive. Once selected, they performed their work beautifully. Our attic is quite large, and because of the home's hip roof construction, it is divided into several compartments, making the installation work challenging. However, installers were courteous and diligent, and throughout the process they kept us informed of progress. They were also very honest in their approach to billing. As an example, I was certain that there were vent hoses in the attic that had not been vented to the outside, so they added work in their original bid to correct those conditions. However, once the installers were able to find the hoses and confirm they were properly vented, they informed me and deducted the corresponding work from their bid. Since it would have been nearly impossible for me to confirm the existing conditions, they could have easily remained silent and billed me the original amount, but they were totally forthcoming and deducted that amount from the bid. I sense there is a strong ethos in Rooftime to do good work, at a fair price, to be transparent about pricing, and to be fair with customers. Those are not attributes found in all service companies, but Rooftime has them. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Rooftime for any insulation-related work. And the really good part is that our home is more comfortable, and I expect that additional comfort to be reflected in lower energy bills.
Description of Work: Our 20-year old home needed work done to improve its energy efficiency, and through a bid process Rooftime was selected. They performed a range of services including: clearing blocked vents, installing insulators over can light fixtures that were missing, installing soffit baffles to improve ventilation, and checking fan exhaust hoses. They installed insulation, bringing the energy efficiency up to the R-60 level, plus they recommended and installed an Owens-Corning reflective barrier on top of the insulation to improve its performance. Lastly, they rebuilt the attic hatch and installed an attic stairway insulator, all of which was done to a high standard of quality.

There was a sudden, strong rainstorm that dumped about 5 inches of rain in about an hour. Water was dripping from my dining room ceiling in a small stream and also around my side door. I called Rooftime, a company I had used before; and even though it was last-minute and they were not sure they could send someone, Dale was at my house in less than an hour. Some debris that had been washed down was forcing the rain under the shingles and clogging the gutters. Dale cleared off the roof and didn't charge me. He also took photos of the roof, including a place where a limb had broken off a piece of skylight.

He came and gave me an estimate after reviewing the situation and was able to repair the chimney and the skylight for much less than another roofer was going to charge for replacing the collar on the chimney and the skylight. It pays to get an opinion from more than one service person when doing a major project. He was very personable and followed up with me after the work was done and we had a rainfall to see if there were any leaks.

Overall process was exceedingly easy on me. They were courteous, professional and well informed. The work began the day the materials were delivered and was completed in 2 days, so minimal inconvenience for me.
Description of Work: Rooftime performed a complimentary roof inspection to determine the source of leakage in my house. They then worked with my insurance adjustor to agree on the scope of the replacement that would be covered by insurance. They provided me with updated estimates for insurance portion as well as for the part that would not be covered. They talked through options for replacement shingles (original shingles no longer in production), and then scheduled the job within 3 days of my approving the work.

Dale and Sandy are very friendly and professional people. My appt for the estimate was scheduled promptly. I received a call that day asking permission to move the appt up which fit into my schedule so much better. Dale was very honest about my options and his services. I like the fact that he uses his own crews. Once we decided on the color of the shingles and the options we wanted, our appt was scheduled promptly. Roof Time did an excellent job replacing our roof. They also gave us good advice while we were selecting the kind of shingles to use. Their brochure is genuinely informative, by the way. Roof Time uses proper techniques on edge strips and valleys, areas where some roofers get it wrong (or get it cheap). Ask all your roofing candidates about these issues before you make a decision. The Roof Time crew went to work two days after we signed on the line. They were efficient and considerate. Two days later the new roof was up. They left the house and grounds clean. Least important, perhaps, their price was really good.

RoofTime had the best estimate of the four companies we had out. The job was done in a timely, professional manner and the guys on the job were very nice. Since then we have had two instances of minor problems with the flashing. No leaks, just some movement due to wind. Each time someone was here the next day to take care of the problem.
