About us

FREE Written Estimates! No Money Down Contractor! Celebrating 16 years in business! A New Rooftime began in 1996, when Ricky and Sandy Feltner started a small family business that they operated out of their home. By 1999, Ricky's company (Preferred Roofing), had grown large enough to include his son, daughter, son-in-law, along with some terrific work crews. Together the company earned a ranking in R.S.I. magazine's Top 100 Contractors in America (Oct 1998) Ricky passed away at the end of 1999, and the company struggled to carry on without his dynamic leadership. Today Ricky's legacy has been preserved by no less than five roofing contractors that were once part of his vision, all successfully operating their own companies using the same principles and ideals he established over 15 years ago! At Rooftime, Sandy's daughter Missy still answers the phone (even at nights and on the weekends) and Ricky's grandson Justin is now an Owens Corning certified Roofing and Insulation Inspector! A New Rooftime is a true family owned and operated business with deep community roots; over fifteen year's business experience, and is now into their third generation of serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. A New Rooftime has been certified by Owens Corning as a "TOP OF THE HOUSE" professional. The company attends annual training certifications to keep current with VENTILATION, INSULATION, RADIATION and how they affect roofing shingles and property values. A New Rooftime exclusively sells and installs the Owens Corning line of roofing and insulation products. In addition to being experts at roof repairs, new roof installations and attic insulation, their other services include professional SKYLIGHT repair and installation using the VELUX brand, as well as chimney repairs and Box gutter repairs. Estimates are free and include an attic inspection & color digital pictures of what the estimators find. A New Rooftime utilizes all the best of today's technology such as thermal imaging cameras to pinpoint hidden leaks and decay, and satellite measurement software to offer 'to the inch measurements" for "to the penny pricing'. Visit www.time2roof.com or call Miss Mona at 513.753.TIME (8463) to get a free inspection of your roof, attic insulation, skylight, and chimney or gutter system.

They did an excellent job. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Our salesman, Dale, was polite and helpful. He came to check on the job both days the crew was at our house. He made sure we were happy throughout the entire process. The crew was extremely nice. They worked hard and did an excellent job. Once they removed the two layers, put on the new roof, and left, you would never know they had been at our house. They cleaned up everything. We got about four estimates and this was the least expensive. In addition, we got a higher grade shingle than any of the other estimates. Again, I highly recommend A New Rooftime. The quality of their product and employees is excellent.
Description of Work: They removed two layers of shingles and installed a new roof. They also installed new vent pipes and flashing. They closed our box vents and installed ridge vents.

She is being modest, in that, she ahs already helped us earn her next door neighbors business, and two other people on her street, collected a business card for us to offer a FREE estimate too! Your house looks great; you picked the exact right color! Thanks for the kind words and the work!

The options were offered and made sense to us as we had been concerned with our utility bills. Other options were offered that we declined. There was no pressure at all during Dale's visit to look at the job site. We made choices based on our needs, not his salesmanship. The office scheduled a quick instalation date, and completed the job in less time than I expected. Dale came out to oversee the project. Clean up was quite satisfactory and exceeded my expectations as insulation can be quite messy. The service providers were professional throughout.
Description of Work: We purchased a special offer from Angie's list for attic insulation. We opted to add additional insulation, replace/connect two bathroom vent exhausts, add a "tent"above the attic access and also change out our bathroom skylight.

This is a BEAUTIFUL home in a great part of the city. We love installing VELUX skylights, and switching her old light out, really made a difference in the outside 'look" and the inside utility bills, because the VELUX skylight is an ENERGY STAR efficient window

After discovering that 2 of our 3 large 15 year old skylights were leaking this spring we obtained five quotes for the replacement of all, from highly reputable Angie's List roofers/skylight installers. Although there are many roofers listed on Angie's list we found it difficult to find contractors with a lot of experience with skylights. We specifically searched for installers that used Velux skylights and had a great deal of expertise with this particular product (3 star Velux installers). We also had them quote us for an overflow problem on a long run of gutter on the back of our house and 3 intermittently problematic pipe vents. Only 4 of the 5 quotes were returned from the other roofers. One installer from another company did not even examine the lights from the roof and incorrectly insisted that the skylights were curb mounts. Another installer called 3 weeks after his visit and never gave us the quote, stating that he "just couldn't get it done." A New Rooftime was very professional, knowledgeable and responded promptly to our quote request. Dale was very thorough and professional as well and provided not only the written estimate but also immediate detailed photographs of each skylight (sent during his visit to my email) which clearly showed their overall poor condition and broken seals. Although 2 of the lights had recently started leaking we had no idea that they were all in such bad shape. Dale also noted that our gutters had not been hung correctly and that by simply adding the additional hangers that had been shortchanged our sag and overflow problem might improve without replacing the entire gutter. He suggested that in the future we should also consider a larger gutter based on the size and pitch of our roof, but that it would best be done when replacing the roof which we didn't need at this time. We greatly appreciated his honesty in this assessment as our other quotes all suggested total gutter replacement. After reviewing our quotes we decided to go with A New Rooftime based on their professionalism, knowledge of the product, detail oriented quote, honesty and overall cost (middle of all quotes). We opted for solar shades on our skylights which increased our upfront cost but felt that with the tax credit (30% federal tax credit for solar shades in addition to the 10% credit for replacing skylights with energy efficient models) it was well worth it. We ordered our skylights and scheduled an estimated install date. The week prior to our vacation we woke up to a completely new leak in our kitchen(from one of our pipe vents) after a very heavy rain. We called Dale who came out and replaced the pipe boots on a Saturday morning so we were able to leave on vacation without worrying that our roof was still leaking. The skylight and gutters were done after our return from vacation. The installers did a great job removing old skylights while taking care to not damage the framing and area around skylight. They also had to remove old aftermarket skylight blinds that were caulked and sealed. New skylights were installed in one day with a crew of 3. They did an excellent job on all aspects of removal, installation, and clean-up. We are very pleased to have had no evidence of new leaks despite having had many days of heavy rain since install. We are very impressed with this contractor and would recommend them highly to anyone needing to replace their old skylights!

I called Thursday around lunch about a leaky roof we had experienced. I had a call back within the hour, and two guys scheduled to come out and take a look the next day. The next morning they were running ahead of schedule and were able to come earlier than promised, which really worked out well for us. They identified it as a relatively minor issue with leak around one of my bathroom exhaust vents, and were able to fix it and all of the other ones, on the spot. They also reminded me of their Angie's list coupon. Great experience!

We started by selecting the top three roofing firms on Angie's list and having them bid the roof work for our 25 year old roof. Rooftime had the lowest bid by about $1500. Dale was very knowledgable and has been in the business for 30 years, plus his Angie's List reviews were outstanding. He explained exactly what was to be done with the roof, recommended a solar exhaust fan, and only suggested that we replace one of our three skylights. We felt confident going into the installation. On the first day, Greg and the crew appeared on time, backed the trash truck up to the garage and began to scrape off the old roof. They were careful to only remove only as much roof that they could reroof during the day. Due to the significant pitch of our roof and its multi-slope segments, I got the feeling that this job was quite a bit more difficult than their average job. But no one complained and they completed the job in about 4 days as opposed to the 3 days in the estimate. The roof looks beautiful. Instead of replacing the same color shingle (same as our neighbors) Dale and my wife agreed upon a different shade to match the brick. An excellent choice per our neighbors comments. However, this now means I need to repaint the trim, so maybe the job is a bit costlier than I first thought! Overall, I'm very satisfied with the entire team at Rooftime and would recommend them to anyone needing a roofing solution.

A New Rooftime came and installed two skylights in a bonus room we are finishing out. They did an amazing job. We are enjoying having the extra lighting in the space and know that once the space is framed and drywalled, it will add an amazing dimension to the room that will bring in lots of sunlight. The staff were professional, quick and flexible. We also needed a vent installed in the space and they quickly ran to Home Depot, got the parts required and installed it in a matter of minutes, saying us time and heart ache. I would reccomend this company to anyone who asked us for a roofer or skylight installation. We will be contacting them in a few years for a new roof!

Thanks Member! The room above the garage we worked on, is going to be a wonderful way to re-claim un-used space in your home! We put all 15 crew members through the VELUX 3-Star Certification, just so that we could tackle projects like this one as professionally as possible. We look forward to some day converting the 2 old skylights in the family room to match these!

Justin arrived on time for our scheduled appointment to provide an estimate. Rooftime was one of 3 companies I contacted. Their estimate was in the middle, however, Justin identified storm damage and suggested I have my insurance company look at the roof. I specifically asked the other 2 companies if there was any damage my insurance would cover - one specifically said no, the other that it was a "long shot." My insurance company agreed there was damaged and paid for most of the new roof. I also discussed replacing my gutters since one portion had pulled away from the house. Two companies gave me estimates. Justin thought the gutters were still in good shape and suggested a repair. There were many weather related dealys after the job was scheduled, but someone from Rooftime always kept me informed. The crew was clean and respectful of my property when doing the work. They finished within the timeframe promised once work began.. New roof and gutter repair was completed over 6 months ago. Through the fall and winter storms, I have not encountered any problems. Rooftime was an honest, pleasant company to deal with.

I apologize for the lateness of this review; the fact that it was important enough for me to get back to indicates how pleased I was with the service. Dale and his crew are the real deal and A New Rooftime is one class act. They were professional, attentive, and Dale himself was always available to answer questions and run defense for little glitches that are bound to happen on a large project. I never felt out of the loop: whenever I had a question Dale took the time to call and explain what was happening, and despite rain delays the project was completed in a timely fashion. Dale actually found ways to save me approximately $500 off the original bid. I would not hesitate to use A New Rooftime again and I am grateful to Angie?s List for recommending this outstanding company.

I first contacted A New Rooftime back in Sept. to get an estimate on vinyl siding, new gutters, and a small chimney repair. This was the third company I had contacted, and before talking to Dale I was heavily leaning towards a company on my side of town who had an excellent reputation. Dale, the owner of the company, came out to do my estimate in person and I was instantly impressed. We walked around the house together, with Dale taking pictures the whole time and asking me exactly what I wanted done in each area. I would point out the areas I wanted done, and he would then tell me exactly what they would do, how they would do it, and why they would do it that way. Dale spent about an hour here talking with me, and told me he would e-mail the estimate to me within 24 hours. The estimate did arrive soon afterward with a full set of pictures of my house, and all of them had been marked up to indicate what would be done in each area. I found this to be a very nice touch, it leaves little room for doubt as to what will be done. The weather kind of played havoc with scheduling, but the work crew did arrive Fri. Nov 18 to start the job, and finished it the next day. His crew was very nice and professional, they did not mind me asking questions as they progressed and were happy to explain anything I asked them about. When the job was done they cleaned up the entire area very thoroughly. And I think they did one terrific job. My house looks entirely different, the siding is beautiful, and several of my neighbors have already told me how nice they think it looks. A few days after they were done we had a day of very heavy rain. I stood outside and watched as all the rain water went into the gutters and down the downspouts instead of washing all over the foundation as it had been doing with my old gutters. In short, I was very pleased with this company, and I have no hesitation in recommending them if you are looking for the same type of work. I initially found them by reading previous reviews by other customers on Angie's List, and hiring someone you are not familiar with is always a little nerve wracking, but this could not have turned out better. Thanks to all of you who had previously reviewed this company for sharing your experience, and thanks to Dale and his crew for a job very well done!
Description of Work: I contracted A New Rooftime to install Vinyl Siding, new Gutters, and to do a small Chimney repair. I own a one story brick ranch home, and wanted three gables and all exposed exterior wood covered with Vinyl siding. I also was having a lot of trouble with my gutters which were installed 12 or so years ago when a roof was also done. The gutters leaked and suffered from run-over in heavy storms so I wanted the old gutters torn off and new gutters and gutter guards installed. I also had a small crack in the chimney that needed repair.

I was so impressed with A New Rooftime. The first first phone call was great from the beginning. They asked good questions, seemed to be fully engaged in the conversation and understood the urgency. They sent out Jutin Shoemaker - who really did a great job of listening to my issue and quickly taking action. He came down from the roof with PICTURES of the issue!! I asked him to email me the photos from my records and to show my husband and it did it right there. I couldn't believe it. He also thought we might have a second problem ( 2nd leak), he estimated where it might be and sure enough we walked into that room, looked up and there was another ceiling water spot We (home owners - with kids off to college) would have never noticed/known about this until it was a big issue. I was so thankful Justin took th initiate to look further than my originally stated problem. He also understood the urgency now with 2 "holes" in my roof. He had someone come out the next day. They saw another issue, took care of it ( as I wasn't home) and did even charge extra. Even when I talked to someone in the office - as to where to mail my check she was very helpful and understanding on the phone. After the call, she called back to make sure I knew I got a 2% discount for paying by check (vs charge). She didn't have to do that - but I sure did appreciate it!! I've already told all my friends how impressed I was and to use them if they ever have a roof issue
Description of Work: Had a leak in the ceiling - didn't know what the issue was. So guessed I had a roof issue but had no idea how to even start with this problem.

They did a complete tear off and a reinstallation. They are terrific and it's a terrific company. An individual named Justin came out and gave us our initial estimate. He didn't force anything on us and was actually very accommodating. When the time came he worked with our insurance adjuster to get the immaculate benefit for us. He did a great job in terms of discussing options for shingles and what might look good on the property. He also discussed where we might be able to get the most and didn't try to up sell us unnecessarily. In several cases he was fairly frank and told us that he could try to sell things but that we didn't need it. He said we could buy that for less money which was fantastic because we were within our budget for this project. The follow up was terrific. They've been great about communicating. I've received two calls so far today just to update me with the progress. I've not physically been onsite yet. We actually found them on Angie's List and they came highly recommended. They offered a discount as they were through Angie's List. So far they've lived up to our expectations and the other reviews that we've read. We went through several different companies to give us quotes and they were very competitive.

They let us know that it was better for us to use the old shingles as a barrier. They showed us pictures before they started the job. So we used their advice and went this route. They gave us a quote using a Owens-Corning shingle, which is a very good brand. We had rain and they could not come out on time. Once we got it scheduled, they were nice and did a great job. They cleaned up pretty well after they were done. They completed the job in a timely fashion. The price was very reasonible and was a lot less than others. We have a very steep roof. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.

My wife awoke Friday morning to find a leak in our dining room ceiling...I had already left for work. We found A New Roof Time on Angie's list and gave them a call. On the phone my wife was put in touch with Dale who indicated he was nearby and would be over within 1/2 hour...this was very comforting. As he indicated on the phone, Dale was on our roof within 1/2 hour and after a brief inspection had diagnosed the problem as a missing shingle and a thumb-sized hole. Dale then spent some time inspecting the rest of the roof and clearing our gutters. By then it had stopped raining so we scheduled an appointment for Saturday morning. Dale also indicated, as we expected, that the roof was in poor condition overall. There are gaps between the gutter and the roof and there is flashing missing. As scheduled, Dale arrived promptly at 9 am on Saturday morning to fix the issue. Dale indicated that his fix would last a long time but that other areas of the roof showed signs of weakness. We asked Dale to provide an estimate for a new roof along with gutters and downspouts. My wife and I have been very pleased with the service and attention that we received from Dale and A New Roof Time and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Dale from A New Roof Time performed a roof and gutter inspection in addition to the scheduled repair. We also had a general discussion regarding the overall condition of our very old roof and our options moving forward.

I selected 5 roofing companies from Angie's list with grades of A and several good revews to contact. I wanted to get 5 estimates for the roof tear-off and replacement. Sadly, only 3 companies even called me back - and one of those I had to call twice. Two others, though I left several messages, never responded. Rooftime actually has a person answering the phone when you call. You don't need to leave a message hoping someone calls back. You discuss your needs and set up an appointment for an estimate right away. Such a pleasant alternative to the answering machine that I got at every other roofing company that I contacted. As a matter of fact, every time I called with a question, I talked to a person and got my anwer right away. Justin came out the next day, looked at my roof and discussed options with me. I had already decided on a tear-off and replacement, but he let me know that there were less expensive options. I still got the tear-off, but I appreciate the honesty. The estimate was detailed and very clear. It was comparable to the other estimates that I got, but I noticed a couple of items - like the 30# felt paper - were better quality than material quoted by others. Everything about the process went exactly as described. The material was delivered when expected. Except for seeing the work in process and the dump truck in the driveway over one night (which they asked permission to leave first), I would not have known the crew was there. No mess, nothing broken or disturbed. Nothing for me to clean up. Very considerate. What made me select Rooftime is the confidence with which Justin presented the estimate and described the process. He obviously was certain of his company's capability and history. That added to the number of years they have been in business made up my mind. I don't expect to have any problems, but I want to know that they will probably be there in a few years if I need them. After the job, Justin came by, brought my final bill, moved the leftover bundle of shingles into my garage for me and answered any questions that I had. Bottom line: the price was fair, the workers acted in a courteous and craftsmanlike manner, the roof looks great, everything when exactly as planned. Great job! Great experience! I would definitely go to these guys again.
Description of Work: Rooftime tore off the old roof, hauled everything away and installed a new architectural shingle style roof.
