My issue goes back to September 2012 when I first took my vehicle to this business. I thought it would be a good place because there were certificates on the wall of being BBB accredited.
I had a problem with my older truck. I had left it there to get fixed, because he said he could not fix it that day. I was told it would be a couple of weeks at most. It was not. Later, owner told me it was going to be around $100 to $150 job tops, it was not. A month or so later when it was finally ready I was told I owed $240 with no real excuse why it had gone up so much. I paid them all the money I had on me at that time which was $12.00 short of the balance. I asked the secretary it they could take care of the rest since the price had gone up so much, she acted like it wouldn't be a problem but never did anything because they still say I have a balance of $13.58. On the way home the truck started to break down again. I called immediately when I got home to try to get in but was told I have to wait until the next week or so because of some kind of family issue they were having.
Again my truck was supposedly ready. I paid the bill and when home. Less than a week had pasted when the truck just stopped driving altogether. It was in the middle of town broke down, so I called the owner and told him it was broke down with no way to get home. I asked him if he could get the truck no charge and tow it back to him since the reason it was broke down was because he did not fix what I had paid him for. He said that would be no problem. He towed the truck back to him to fix it. First he said there was another solution since what he did and charged me for did not work. He was supposed to be doing that, no charge. Weeks go by, I call and call. Every time there was a excuse for why it hadn't been fixed yet. A couple of month pass, I call one day and speak with him and he tells me the what he is doing is not working (the same thing he did the first time) and that there may be another solution and he'll try that now.( The solution from earlier that he was ALREADY supposed to be doing all this time.)
Months go by, we go by a few times being told every time that he is waiting for this new part and he'll let us know. I call and call, speaking with him a few times getting excuses. He seemingly is bothered by my calling and asking so much he tells me he'll call me and let me know. I call more times and the secretary tells me she'll have him call me. He did once telling me the same things as before. Then it turns into none of my calls being returned. One time for about a week I was told he was on vacation, it was always something.
The last time I talked to the secretary she told me that a tow bill of around $90.00 would be added to the new bill, the bill that is not supposed to exist because the repair and the tow were supposed to be NO CHARGE. I called other places and have been told that I could have had and should have had my truck back to me, FIXED, no more than a weeks time.
I had just put new $600 tires on it before I took it there. They are faded out extremely bad because they left in parked in the sun. It was my work truck so I literally lost thousands over the months that pasted.
What really got me wasn't just all the run around and trouble and money Timmy Barr caused me, but that he didn't even offer to refund my money, especially since he didn't do the job he was paid for. I was screwed over bad and the BBB were not helpful at all. They did nothing to help and two days after the case was opened they closed it.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE. Cause you'll just get redneck service with a smile. Then you'll realize you've been had once you get your vehicle back.
