Keith was very responsive and pleasant.  He was on time and worked quickly and efficiently.  My only criticism was that he could have cleaned up better; there was debris left on the floor.

Keith came out for a free estimate in a timely manner.  He was prompt, professional, and seemed nice during the estimate.  His price was less than half of another quote which seemed too good to be true.  We decided to hire him based on previous positive reviews, and it was a wise choice.  We scheduled the appointment within 3 weeks of the estimate.  Work was just completed yesterday, and it looks great.  Keith cleaned up nicely and made sure we understood the work that he did, since we were going to finish the fan installation ourselves.  We were very pleased with the entire experience.

Very good work at  a great price.

Keith arrived on time.  I first had him check two fluorescent fixtures in the basement that we thought might have faulty wiring but they were fine--just needed new bulbs.  He then replaced an old loose dimmer switch in our dining room with a new one.  Finally (and most time consuming), he checked all our outlets to identify a problem of lights that were flickering in our living room.  He initially repaired a couple of outlets that had faulty wiring but finally discovered that the main source of the problem was a badly damaged oudoor outlet on our deck.  He replaced that outlet with a GFCI outlet (as required by code) which solved the flickering light problem totally.  He also installed a protective plastic cover over the outlet which we had purchased.  We were very impressed with Keith's persistence in fiixing this problem.

Brilliant. got an estimate first. He gave me some advice about what I probably didn't need. When I called back, we made an appointment that was convenient with me. He came, did the work. Was neat and tidy, friendly and quick. Good experience.

Keith showed up on time (he did call first, which was appreciated), I filled him in on what issues I wanted him to look at, and he got right to work. I had a list of possible problems which I wanted him to look at, and we got through all of them, one at a time. I always felt that I had his full attention, despite the fact that one can tell he is very much in demand. In any case, he did so well, I asked for an estimate for some additional work.

That is probably the best type of recommendation which I can give...

He was professional, on time and performed all work as agreed.  He also came back to finish the exterior item on a Saturday, due to poor weather on a previous day. I would definitely use Hayes Electric again and would recommend him to others.

The work was done quickly.  All questions were answered professionally.  Advice on future projects was given sincerely.  Clean up was complete.

The whole experience was great. I scheduled the work about 2 weeks in advance, and Keith showed up on time on the expected day. He quickly identified the GFI outlet that was causing the problems with my outdoor outlets, then moved on to repair my attic fan. Because the fan was heat-activated, he even made sure it was working properly by blowing hot air on it with a hair dryer! I was impressed that he went that little extra step to be sure that everything was working to his (and my) satisfaction. My impression was that Keith was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, and also reasonably priced. I would certainly use his company again.

Keith Hayes was professional, friendly,and meticulous. Keith Hayes explanation of certain electrical processes was beneficial, both in terms of content and delivery.

Keith Hayes, the owner of the company, was very polite when he answered the phone to schedule the service.  He had quite a few calls due to The Big Deal, so I had to wait a couple of weeks for him to come out, which for this situation wasn't a big deal.  He was running a few minutes late, but called to let me know.   He was still very close to being on time.  He is very friendly and easy to talk to.  He started at the circuit breaker box and worked his way around the system checking for loose connections.  He determined the problem was probably due to one alarm which was not compatible with the rest.  He removed it.  He checked for compatibility of two of the original alarms to the house to four new alarms.  He read the instructions for the new alarm and gave me some tips.  We determined at this time that the best course of action was to replace three of the alarms with new ones that were of the same brand of the new ones installed about a year ago.  He also told me to make sure to reset the alarms when installed to make sure they are activated.  All alarms should have a solid green rather than a blinking green.  Keith is super easy to talk to and was very thorough in checking everything out.  I will definitely have him back for any of my electrical needs.

Great.  Keith visted ahead of time to provide a quote and reviewed the job site.  He aligned on the work date ahead of time and showed up as planned.  He executed the work in a timely, professional fashion.  It looks and works great.  Exactly what we wanted.

Keith is a saint. First, he came to give me an estimate. I needed wiring for a new garage light and I had an outside receptacle that didn't work. The estimate was acceptable and we agreed on a day for the work. Keith called early the day before and thought that was the day we had agreed. By the time he had arrived, he realized he had made a mistake. As it happened, it was not a problem for me so he started the work. He was finished quickly, had no excuses (as others have had about why they could not do as they had promised), did the work professionally, I paid him and he left. This was great for me as I am so accustomed to people's excuses that my condo is not built right, has odd plumbing or has some other feature that prevents them from completing the job. Keith had no problems with all the quirks. Great experience and made me thankful for Angie's List.

His sainthood is based on how he dealt with me and a later problem I had with the outside receptacle. I tried to plug in a new extension cord when I did a trial run on new Christmas lights. I couldn't get the plug to go in the socket. I pushed and leaned and pounded on the plug, but it wasn't budging. I checked on the internet and didn't see a solution. I emailed Keith and he responded within a few hours. He gave me directions on how to manage the situation, and I tried that. Nothing. I got a hammer and tried again. Still nothing.  So I got pushy and ominous in my next email.  (I didn't threaten anything, but it was getting frustrating.)  So Keith comes by on his way home from a job on a Friday afternoon.  (It was somewhat out of his way.) And he manages to get the plug to go in, but it was hard to do.  After inspecting the plug, he determines it's mostly the plug on the extension cord and partly one of the sockets.  (I may have damaged the tamper-protection feature on that one in my attempts.)  I felt like an idiot, but I know I would not have gotten that plug in and I would have had a less than good experience.  It never occurred to me that a brand new outside extension cord was not right.  Keith never indicated what an idiot he had to think I was.  I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

installed a replacement Ceiling light for me. I made an additional appointment with him to install a new Fuse Box for me. Hayes Electrical Service is my new Electric Service Co.

Initially, we contacted an electrician (that was recommended by a friend), which ended up to be very unreliable.
Thus we decided to renew right away our Angie's list membership and choose somebody with very good credentials.
This is how we got in touch with Keith. After we explained him that we were under a time constraint he promised that even though he is booked for the rest of the week,  he will find time to solve our problem before our deadline.
That is exactly what he did ! (I even suspect that he skipped his lunch break to help us.)
He executed his job beautifully, and we were very impressed with his love and dedication for what he does.
After he was done, everything was spot clean. He even reprogrammed the electric stove clock.:)
